"Did you know that your affair broke the kingdom? Is that why you came back alive as a monster? Because of what you did to my father?" taunted Mordred as Lancelot tried taking out his blade from her grasp.
"I've always wanted to do this... To defeat you in battle... You've always earned a special place in my father's heart despite being from another Domain. You didn't know how happy I was when I found out about your affair. I wanted to thank you, but you went ahead and killed Gareth."
"That was something that could never be forgiven in my eyes... So you can rot in hell, Knight of Adultery!" roared Mordred, throwing up her sword and gripping Arondight with both hands.
Mordred mustered up as much strength as she could, lifting the monster up and spinning him around before tossing him to the lake. The Knight of Rebellion appeared behind the flying Knight with no effort as she kicked Lancelot in the back, plunging him into the rocks.
The Treacherous Knight vanished from her spot above the lake to grab her sword that was still rotating midair to strike down at the Knight of the Lake. Lancelot held up his sword to block Mordred's attack, but it felt... Weak, compared to the last time she had seen it in action.
The Knight of Rebellion smirked as she knocked Arondight out of the fallen Knight's hands and held up her sword-wielding arm to stab him in the neck. Mordred abruptly swung her sword, slicing Lancelot's head off his neck. She then brought her sword back to cut the torso vertically in half.
Mordred leaped back, and Duncan rushed towards her. Lancelot was still refusing to die despite being killed so many times. The twins and the Spirits were worried since time wasn't on their side for today. The Knight of Rebellion looked for Duncan for answers.
"That should keep the monster down for a while... Even if he is undead and constantly regenerating, Lancelot needs time to heal his wounds. No matter how much we do, that thing won't die! So we turn him into ash or risk dying to Arondight... You've seen that thing's powers..."
Duncan scrunched his face up as he remembered getting wounded by Midori's version of Arondight. It was supposed to be a blessed sword, the epitome of 'Divine Weaponry.' Thus, facing that thing as a Dark Mage would end him.
"With one blast from that sword, you will meet your ancestors. If he is using it against us, I don't think we can survive. So, any brilliant plan?" asked Mordred, still on guard.
"I've got one, but I hope this will work... Because you said he is the Knight of the Lake, Lancelot is fighting on an advantage now, right?" asked Duncan, gripping onto his scythe.
"Correct. What have you got up your sleeve?" questioned Mordred.
"I will use my Frames now. So fight the monster until I can perform the chant."
"After that, what will we do?"
"First, let's pray that it works before proceeding to the next phase," ordered Duncan as he called for the Ankou's help within his mind.
"Alright then. Leave it up to me first!" shouted Mordred, with a bright smile.
The Knight of Rebellion exploded in red light as she tunneled towards Lancelot, who was still trying to grow his neck. Mordred wasted no time as she endlessly slashed and kicked the enemy like it was a ball. The Knight of Rebellion couldn't deny it, but she felt dirty for not fighting him properly.
As Mordred flipped into the air and lunged towards her opponent, Lancelot held up his sword while a swirling black and red Elemental Energy started to swarm his blade.
"Crap!" swore Mordred as she summoned her complete set of armor along with her helmet.
The Treacherous Knight stomped onto the ground as she held her sword with both hands, with the blade slightly tilting forwards. Mordred's Elemental Aura exploded as a red pillar of light hailed down from the skies with small crimson lighting bolts surrounding her.
Lancelot held his sword up high as black streams of Elemental Energy converged into his weapon. The mad Knight roared in anger as both fighters increased their Elemental Energy levels by a longshot. Mordred adjusted her grip, and her blade burst into a giant pillar of crimson light.
Arondight looked like a terrifying blade as the black streams fully engulfed the weapon, producing a black pillar with red hues.
"I won't die again... I won't lose to you, a mad beast that shouldn't be holding the counterpart of Excalibur! You'll see... I'll show you who was meant to be King! My anger that hath fury upon those who failed me..." chanted Mordred, slowly raising her blazing sword.
