The Ark Of The Ankou And Technology

"We should have used the holographic models like this during the planning... I'm sure this technology's creator knows these models' use. It makes it easier for everyone to visualize how the plan would work out," said the Ankou, catching the Headmaster looking at his hand movements.

"Well, you must understand that not all of us have access to the distant future... I'm living in the Tock, you know? So I usually do things the old-fashioned way," answered Mavislin, slightly blushing.

Despite being well-equipped with every knowledge of weapons out there, Mavislin wasn't very good with technology or futuristic stuff. She hated it when Raiyen first made it in the Old Chapel because every time she touched the table, the screens would pop out, scaring the girl.

And when she got scared during the early days of the Old Chapel, Mavislin would instantly revert to her toddler form. So imagine how Ysabeau felt when she saw baby Mav crying on the floor while a holographic screen was hovering above the little girl's head.

"I guess there's beauty in living in the current time, but it's fun to try something new, right? Now then, let's combine our earlier discussions and turn into a model," suggested the Ankou with a cheerful smile.

Mavislin nodded as the Ankou combined the earlier two plan to create a rendition of how the plan would go down. First, Mordred would lure the King to stand in the desired place where Rina had set up her spell. But the timing needed to be just right so the King would instantly get caught in the attack.

"Lady Rina, how long would you take if you are going to use both Stages of your spell?" quizzed the Ankou, without taking his eyes away from the model.

"Well, I need to read out the Second Stage because Buttercup Kids needs more time to charge up, but I can do Wolfsbane first... Why?" answered Rina.

"Hmm... In that case, can you time the spells to activate simultaneously? Once the King steps in here, both attacks activate and force him to be stuck in that position. And how long can you hold down the King?"

"Yes, I can use both spells in a single move, but it would take longer to prepare, so I have to start the chant early. As for the duration, I can hold down the King for at least a few Ticks before he breaks the vines. Would that be alright?"

The Ankou was silent as he nodded and drew several lines on the King's models with five dots surrounding the target.

"Alright; once the King unleashes his sword onto Mordred and Mavislin, it would be up to Ash and Bry to block the attack for the two ladies. Then, when the blast hits the shields, it would be the Flower Girl's turn to activate the spell."

"The next one would be my spell as I shatter the King's armor... With this frozen model, the next ones can find a good spot to strike your attack at the King. Try to find the most vulnerable part so I can deduce if it's easy for you to land the strike," instructed the Ankou.

The Reaper then gestured for Mordred and Mavislin to look at the diagram he had created, earning him odd looks from the group.

"What's wrong? Is the plan that bad? Well... I'm not a battle strategist so you can't blame me too much," answered the Ankou.

"No, there isn't anything wrong with your planning. It's just that you knew that we would be performing the landing blow on the enemy... Was that easy to figure out that we were going last?" questioned Mordred, glancing at the Ankou with a raised eyebrow.

"It would be difficult to know that you would pass this chance up to get even with the King. So, Besides using the process of elimination, only you and Mav are left. Everyone else has got their roles to fulfill," elaborated the Ankou as he pushed the model towards Mordred.

"Well, you aren't wrong, but I don't know if Mavislin wants to join the last strike with me," said the Knight of Rebellion as she dragged her eyes to see the Valkyrie's expression.

"Hm? Why wouldn't I? If I start the fight alongside you, then you bet I will stay until the fight is over. I'm not going to abandon my children when the climax is happening... That wouldn't be fair to me, you know? I've got some scores to settle with the King too. Now then, let's see..."

Before Mavislin could finish the last sentence, several screens began beaming from the tabletop. The Ankou quickly took hold of the screens before opening the newly retrieved data. After some rummaging, he found the accurate model of the King of Knights.
