CHAPTER 77

Just like Scar promised the Security men let us in without hassle.

The good part about it was that we did not have to say a word. Immediately they saw Scar they opened the gate wide for us as if he owned the place or he was one of their own.

The former was impossible which led me to resolve on the latter.

"Let me get something. wait for me." Scar said, Immediately we stepped into the estate. He didn't even let me say a word before he ran off to the gate to talk to the security men further confirming my suspicion.

It all made sense to me now.

Maybe he was once a security man, one of them, until a tragic accident that caused him the Scar on his face forcing him to resign.

Then having no money he moved to my street but he couldn't get over the desire to want to protect and guide hence the reason he was protecting me.

I started pondering on this as I walked down the street to look for a place to sit.

After about two minutes of walking slowly and thinking, I found a small pavement which was in front of a huge duplex painted all blue.

I sat on white pavement still lost in thought. I was starting to feel a lot happier since I now had a theory of who Scar was.

Scar returned after a while holding a white bag.

He had a smile on his face but was curious about the one on mine.

He raised his brows smirking, "You've been smiling to yourself. Are you that happy to be with me babe?"

I rolled my eyes. I couldn't stop smiling even though I wanted to just so I could wipe that grin off his face. "I could say the same for you but unlike you I don't jump into conclusion."

"That is false and you know it." He replied finally sitting down on the pavement beside me.

He dropped the bag he was holding on my thighs. I was about to ask what it was when I felt a certain chill coming from it.

I quickly opened the bag and saw a bowl of ice cream in it. Chocolate. My absolute favorite.

I beamed at him. "How did you know that I would like this?" I asked, unable to hide my excitement.

"It is my general belief that all women like ice cream." He replied with a mischievous smile.

I shuffled the bag for the spoon, "You know that you just made a fallacious statement right?" I asked, finally finding the spoon. I opened the plate of ice cream and immediately dug in.

"I haven't been proven wrong yet." He replied with a cheeky grin. "Oh yea now I get where the fallacy is from. You are a girl not a woman."

I hit him on the rib with my elbow and he laughed out.

"I will ignore you." I mumbled, taking a scoop of the ice cream.

I moaned when the sweet taste absorbed in my tongue.

"This ice cream is one of a kind." I praised, moaning again. I took another scoop hungrily.

"You should not moan like that." Scar suddenly said with a hoarse voice.

I looked up at him cocking my brows in confusion.

"Why is that?" I asked with a smirk when I noticed how hard his intake of breath had become. I totally forgot about the ice cream.

Now I was lost in his gaze.

He moved a hand from the pavement and moved it up my thighs in a sensuous manner warming me up with his touch.

My breath hitched in my throat as he inched closer and closer until I could feel his breath on my neck.

"Because its turning me on." He whispered.
