CHAPTER 96

Scar who was standing close to the door smiled and winked at me. He was confident that my plan would work but I was anxious about it.

He shut the door behind aunt Lisa and followed her in as she walked towards me.

Lisa refused to take a sit not that I offered any thought. It was not my office.

She just stood by the corner of the room watching me.

Scar walked further into the office and stood behind me. It was all he needed to do to make me feel a little more confident than I was already feeling.

I crossed my legs and faced Lisa squarely. I had to appear confident like a true blackmailer. Even though I was more than anxious. Imagine committing a crime in the police station. It takes more than bravery to pull that off.

Lisa clutched her handbag, obviously tormented by something maybe me. Her fear was written all over her face.

The face had a language of it's own and it betrays us sometimes just like Lisa's face was betraying her now

"Apart from the fact that you aided a criminal and sponsored him. What other reasons do you think you are here?" I asked.

I spoke slowly finishing my words to the last letter. Emphasizing them.

"I did not aid ken." She replied too quickly. She was trying to hide her nervousness but She was doing a really bad job at it.

"So the house he used in kidnapping us was built by?" I asked, tilting my head. I put my index finger on my chin like I was trying to remember something. It was all part of the game.

She sat down now as her legs were shaking so much she could no longer stand.

I thought she didn't want to sit'

"I only gave him the money I didn't know that that was what he was going to use it for. I had no idea of his criminal activities. My lawyer will defend me."

"Why would you give your brother in-law. Your husband's cousin such huge amount of money was he working for you?" I asked seeminly interested in knowing the answer although I already Knew it. I wanted her to get the message. She did.

"You are nothing Mira but the daughter of a poverty stricken slut of a mother who goes around begging people for money. Lazy and stupid woman who got married to a nonentity. Her blood flows in you that's why you are a slut too but a better one I must say. The children must be better than their parents Hah. I should never have let you all into my life, the poor will always be classless." She spat.

I could not help but chuckle bitterly at her words. I've been called a slut so many times, but this one stung because she cursed my mother too.

However, I could not let her make me lose my calm. That was her plan and I would be making a foolery of myself if  I let her succeed.

I exhaled through my mouth and breathed in.

Scar touched me in a bid to calm me down but I was already calm, perfectly calm.

I needed to see that she deserved what I was about to do to her and she just showed me that she deserved every single one of it.

My dad was a nonentity that didn't offend me, but she insulted my mum, she deserved to the fullest what I was going to give to her.

Smiling at her I opened the recording of my conversation with Ken.

I had transfered it from Ken's phone to my phone which I had gotten back immediately I came to the station.

Scar had sneaked the phone out of my pocket so that I wouldn't ruin their plans. He had said that I was too unpredictable and I loved it.

I played the recording, smiling as my voice echoed in the room.
