6 Mysterious egg

"Don't worry kids I'm not about to hurt your big sister or anything of the sort like I told you earlier you are not my slaves but my children.

I don't expect to be called papa or father right of the back but it would be nice if we can get that close."

The kids and Sarah just looked at me with stunned eyes for the second time since I have bought them.

"I thought I told you this just awhile ago and you all forgot already. Sheesh y'all been in slavery for such a short time and y'all can't believe the words coming out of my mouth."

"We..we did not mean to be offensive it's just just that."

"Alright stop right there I don't want to here ya excuse. Just sit at the table and we will began eating."

The kids took a seat at the table and just stared at me and I guess they were waiting on me to start.

"Don't stare it's a little awkward but I guess it is understandable."

I gave them a look and then started to eat and they started to eat after checking the food for anything suspicious.

We just sat and ate in silence I guess I can get used to this.

After we finished I looked and waited for everybody to finish.

"Just leave the bowls on the table and I will clean it up later. So why don't we start with talking about ourselves.

I will start, as you can see I'm human but I'm also of another race and that will be up to you if you want to figur it out.

I'm 60 years old and have not been married. I just registered at the guild I came from a different place but that will be a secret for now. That's enough about me so tell me about yourselves we will start with Sarah."

" My name is Sarah Hilde 12 years old and a human. My birthday is the 28 day of the tenth month."

The next person to speak was Morales.

"My name is Morales don't have a last name and from the black cat race. My birthday is the 1 day of the year. Also I'm 8."

Morales introduced himself with some bravado.

"My name is Chloe and I'm the oldest twin and our birthday is the 20 of the 4 month. Also we are from the sheep race."

"My name is Sonido and as my sister said our birthday is the 20 of the 4 month, a part of the sheep's race and I'm the younger twin. We are both 4 years old."

Sonido started right after Chloe with no time to rest. Today is the 15 of the 4 month I will need to find a gift for the twins.

"Ok Chloe and Sonido since y'alls birthday is coming in 5 day will there be anything you want as a present."

"I want a unicorn."

"I want a dragon."

The twins shouted at the same time and I guess their wish is something that is understandable at their age.

"I won't be able to get you exactly a unicorn nor will it be a dragon but it will be somewhere in the middle so wait for your birthday and you will be surprised."

Chloe and Sonido look at me with a little dejection in their eyes when I said it wouldn't be what they wanted but the. cheered up when they heard the rest of what I said.

I stood up and picked up the plates and silverware on the table and went to go clean them.

"Make sure to was your hand a and get cleaned up we are about to go out."

"Yes"

The kids all said back at the same time. I can get use to this.

After I finished the dishes and got cleaned up we all went out to go by some daily necessities.

By the time we came back it was already dark and the twins were asleep in my arms.

Those sleeping faces are something to die for other than getting poked in the rib every now and then by their horns that were growing.

"Alright I guess it is time for us to go to sleep and I will have breakfast ready in the morning."

"Yessir "

Sarah was the only one to reply backni guess Morales was trying to just stay awake and was not focused.

I walked them to their room and the twins woke up before I tucked then in.

"I will be in the room next door should you need anything just ask. Don't be afraid you will be protected tonight."

Nothing happened after that we all went to sleep for the night.

4 days later

It been 4 days since I have became the guardian of the kids and they have slowly opened up to me. I found out some of the things that they want to do with their life.

Sarah just wants to be a merchant to make money for her siblings to be able to live a happy life.

Morales wants to be a strong adventurer so that him and his siblings will never be bullied again.

The twins don't really have something they want to do except for living a good life nothing to big or grand.

Gues I will go to sleep tonight and give the egg I found in my storage that I got during one of my quest.

The next day at the table

"Happy birthday Chloe and Sonido"

"Happy birthday big sis"

"Happy birthday brother"

Everybody said happy birthday and we had a big family hug. At that moment I decided to bake a cake for the two.

"Give me about 30 mins and we will continue celebrating."

I walked back into the kitchen and started to bake a cake which took about 30 mins and I brought it out.

"Here is the cake it is something very sweet and tasty so bring me your plates so that I can put a slice on. Twins first"

The twins ran to me with a clean plate in hand and staring at the cake. I cut everybody a piece and oh boy were those smiles the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

After we finished we went to the living room and I had the twins stand in front of me and asked them some questions.

"I have what I said I will get you but do you have the determination to take care of it for your life."

The twins looked at me with a serious look but to me I had to stifle my smile from showing because it was way to cute to stop.

"Yesss!"

"Well here you go it still a egg for right now but it will hatch in about 2 days."

I pulled out a egg that was about half a meter tall, was white and had some blue streaks going across the surface of the egg.
