Epilogue

I sigh shortly and stare of the window, arms cradling my stomach. The garden outside is beautiful, I had it made to help mom's recovery. In the past six months she's done so well.

"Hey little one, do you see grandma out there? She loves you a lot, maybe more than she did me." I giggle lightly and caress the baby bump.

"Sweetheart, the window is too cold." An arm wraps around my shoulder.

"Hush, Amy is bonding with grandma." I tilt my head back to smile at Lee.

"Can't she bond with me?" He asks remorsefully.

"Oh we spend so much time with you already. Amy, your daddy loves you lots and lots." I grin contently and stare back at my mom.

A pang of sadness hits me. After father died she's become very quiet, but perhaps better. She reassured me that it'd be best if the child never met that man. He lived long enough to know I graduated college and got married, but that man thankfully did not know about Amy before death.

"Are you okay?" Lee questions softly.

"Better than I have been in a long time. I'm just anxious to meet the little one."

"I want to hold her and you altogether." Just as Lee said that a voice interrupted him.

"Lee! Your dad and I are holding Amy first!" Lee's mother repremanded him.

I giggle softly.

"You're so loved little one. I swear you'll be the happiest girl in the world. And did you know? Daddy will chase all the boys away, so be ready. Heaven help the man who falls in love with the CEO's little miss."
