I am awaken by the light coming through the sheer curtains. I struggle to keep my eyes open,so I get up and make myself a cup of cheep coffee. When I am done drinking my coffee I get dressed. I wear a long floral skirt with a soft and thin white buttoned shirt. I strap on clunky shoes. Grab my purse and head out. When I reach the elevator my memories come back to last night.
I blush with embarrassment. The elevator dings and I step in, clicking the first floor. I arrive on the floor and leave the hotel. As soon as I step outside the sun hits me. I take out my sunglasses and put them on. I soon realize there are only a few people out. Today I chose to do some studying so i decided to go to Central Park. I need to be were there will be more people.
I walk down the streets of New York. People were hustling and bustling just trying to make a living in this big city. I get to the entrance and start my studies. Looking at everything and everyone remembering everything I have seen. I finally get to a place I can sit down in peace and take out my note book. I Write down what I have seen so far.
Mostly all the people out here are enjoying themselves. the environment I think is what makes this true. Family's will come out and just enjoy the beautiful environment. I Wright down some more and stop writing. I look up from my note book and look at around. People are selling art work. I put my note book and pen back into my purse and get up. I walk over to the table with paintings. "These are wonderful" I said to the old woman. "Thank you" she said giving me a great smile. I look around and one of her paintings catch my eye. It's a painting of a cliff over the ocean. It had two girls standing at the edge. The cliff was lush with flowers and green grass. I looked at her and asked "is this one for sale"? She nodded and said " only for you dear". My eyes widened, " only for me you say"?
"Yes" she said, "you remind me of my daughter".
"My daughter had passed away when she was twenty one, and I painted this picture when she passed away, I would like you to have it" she said.
" no I could possibly not, this is important to you"
" it's alright" she said, " that was a long time ago and I do not grieve anymore. How about this I will give it to you for free instead, I want you to have it"
" aright I said". She neatly wrapped the painting with brown paper and put it in a bag. "Thank you for coming by" she said with a great grin.
" goodbye friend", I waved goodbye and went on my way deeper into the park.
