An unknown amount of time passed, yet Long Tian laid dormant inside the abyss. It was as if he couldn't wake up from his nap for eternity. Was he in a coma? Did he die?
It wasn't that Long Tian was in a coma nor was it that he died, but a state that couldn't be explained in words. Right now, Long Tian should be having a real-like dream that should be testing him whether he was up to be accepted as the new owner of the power he received. The dream could more or less be called a lucid dream, yet different in many aspects. In this dream, Long Tian can die and he could also use his five senses. What was the test of this dream? To see if Long Tian can figure out between reality and fiction.
The place where everyone's dream world is located is inside his Illusory Palace, the spot between their eyebrows. The Illusory Palace is also the main gate for transfusing bloodlines into your system.
Deep inside Long Tian's Illusory Palace, he was trapped inside a dream world. From his perspective, the sky looked so shattered that small pieces were falling, The ground was withered to the point that even dead bushes couldn't grow on it, and the air was visibly green.
Long Tian was confused as he looked around. A while ago, he was thrown inside the abyss hole and something went inside him. Then he decided to go back to sleep thinking he was having a nightmare. YET! He wakes up to another nightmare. Was he a nightmare-magnet rather than a chick-magnet?
"Yahoo!"
"Yahoo!"
"Yahoo!"
Long Tian shouted 'Yahoo!' and his voice echoed for two times. How could there be an echo if the place he was at was an open space? Was he trapped in some kind of a dream? But why would he be trapped in a dream?
What confused Long Tian was that if this was a dream, how was he able to use his smell and touching senses work? If this was a dream, then this must be a lucid dream. A nightmarish lucid dream!
Back when he was young, he learned a lot about cultivation. One of the most important things to him that he learned was mental cultivation. It was proven that he couldn't improve his body and soul cultivation because all but one of his meridians were blocked. Since from a young age, Long Tian searched ways to improve his mental cultivation and had since then being cultivating his mind.
Amongst all those in the same generation as Long Tian, if Long Tian came second for mental cultivation, no one could claim first. Knowing that he had high mental strength, Long Tian decided to put to use. Although he wasn't sure whether this world was real or fake, he needed to do something.
Sitting down in the lotus position, Long Tian began to perform several hand seals and chanted an incantation. Hand seals weren't that hard to do and there weren't that many hand seals. In Xuanhuang, hand seals were developed so people knew ways to actually use their spiritual qi externally. Hand seals were used to shoot spells like Fireball or Waterball. Although those two spells were the most basic ones to do, it all depended on your strength.
The incantation Long Tian was performing right now was an attack called Mind Wrath. Although Mind Wrath wasn't an advanced spell, it was still pretty strong when compared to other basic spells. Furthermore, Mind Wrath could only be performed using mental energy.
A huge amount of mental energy began to perform next to Long Tian's Illusory Palace. The energy gathered together and began to compress into a small ball. The more mental energy that was sucked into it, the bigger it got and once it was as big as a soccer ball, Long Tian opened his eyes wide and shit it towards the sun.
For a while, Long Tian felt that there was something wrong with the sun. Although it was bright yellow and hard to stare at, he didn't feel any heat from it. When you cultivate, your senses also get enhanced. Although Long Tian was still in the first stage of Qi Condensation, his senses were above average. His intuition told him that the sun might hold the key to exit this world, but he needed to check if that was true.
The moment the spell crashed against the sun, there was an explosion. Long Tian's intuition was correct as the world began to fall apart and found himself inside a dark space, similar to the abyss hole. In front of Long Tian, the same large eyes he saw before appeared before him. Although a bit frightened, Long Tian did his best to remain calm.
From out of nowhere, Long Tian began to hear a voice. He didn't know who it belonged to, but he thought it must've been the Large Eyes' voice.
"You have passed the trial. You have escaped from the illusory world using your own power. You have met the requirements to inherit the powers left behind by the 'One'. I shall hereby grant you the ultimate sorcery that no one had ever seen or knows about, the lost sorcery!"
The voice was loud and domineering. It carried a hint of pride and arrogance and the words that were spoken resounded throughout the dark place.
From what he had just heard, Long Tian realized that the wasteland world was just a trial and that he had passed the trial. It said that he was going to inherit some kind of power created by the 'One', but who was the 'One?'
Long Tian couldn't hide his curiosity and asked, "Who is the 'One'?"
The voice resounded again and answered his question, "The 'One' is the ultimate being who used to live in the ancient era. Although forgotten, no one could ever surmount his strength. Before his death, he had created the abyss hole you fell into and kept this power inside it 'till someone claims it.
"Did everyone that fell into the abyss hole go through a trial?" asked Long Tian.
"Correct, yet none were able to pass," answered the voice. "Now that you have finished the trial, I shall take you out of the abyss hole. For the power you shall receive, I know none about it, but the 'One' had instructed me to inform you that soon you will learn about it."
Then, Long Tian lost 'conscious' and disappeared from the dark place. Only the large eyes remained to hover over the sky as it looked towards the unending abyss. In its eyes, it carried a hint of nostalgia as it remembered its time with its' master.
"Looks like my journey ends here too. Looks Like I shall see you soon, master!" spoke the voice, but this time it didn't carry any hints of pride and arrogance.

Outside the abyss hole stood the captain of the elite team. His face was pale and his knees shaky. From up close, one could see that he was sweating really hard that it even formed a puddle underneath him.
Inside his mind, the captain was freaking out really hard. He had just failed one of the most important missions he was given. He even received a warning that if he failed the mission... Something not good was going to happen to him.
"Captain, relax! We can explain to them that there was nothing we could do," one of the members of the elite group was trying to comfort the captain. He felt sorry for his captain because there was really nothing they could've done to save the child. If they had rushed in aggressively, then Long Tian might've gotten hurt by the kidnappers.
"Y-you don't understand! I was told not to fail this mission!" said the captain in a shaky voice.
The member that was trying to comfort him realized how much in trouble the captain was and said his condolences, "You... Fucked up."
Meanwhile, deep inside the abyss hole, there was a body that was beginning to float upwards. It kept on ascending until a bright light came to view. This light was, of course, the open top of the hole. Long Tian's body ascended out of the abyss until it exited out of the cave. The body floated all the way towards the elite team's location.
Looking up, one of the elite team shouted, "HOLY SHIT! IT IS LONG TIAN!"
The captain was on his knees looking down. When he heard his subordinate's words, he was really pissed off. TO think they would try to poke fun at him when he was at his lowest. These bastards! "DARE POKE FUN AT ME AGAIN AND SEE HOW I MESS YOU UP!"
"No, captain! We aren't making fun of you! We are serious! Look up!"
Still, the captain didn't believe them and kept his head down as he cried over his misery. Meanwhile, the rest of the elites were shocked as to what was actually happening. How the fuck can a body float the fuck out of the fucking abyss fucking hole?! That was fucking unbelievable!
They watched as Long Tian's body float through the air and finally descend right next to the captain. It laid there right next to the captain, but the captain hadn't realized that there was an actual body next to him.
