Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

Du Wen Hai woke up to see he is back in the hospital with only his assistant to be seen, looking deeply troubled.


He wanted to ask his assistant to speak the matters that bothers him but when he realised his throat was dry, he asked for water first.


His assistant quickly called the doctor in to make sure that his boss is alright before handing a glass of water to Du Wen Hai.


After the doctor's assessment, the doctor left with few words of advices before leaving.


"Boss, I really don't know how to inform you, the doctor informed that you are not allowed any stressful news. The news that I have are truly bad for your current condition," said his assistant.


"I think the suspense will kill me faster, spill it out," said Du Wen Hai.


His assistant wanted to say curiosity kills the cat but he kept his mouth shut. He took note of all the emergency buttons in the room. Plus his boss's room is stationed just in front of the nurse counter, worse come to worst, just shout in panic would do as well.


"Your mother and wife are both admitted here. Your mother suffered from a transient stroke from high blood pressure. She is now recuperating and has already woken up. Your wife delivered a healthy baby girl, 3.0 kg. Both already discharged home. Your wife is also doing well. She was supposed to deliver two weeks later but the doctors said even though she delivered ealier than scheduled your baby is already term, so not a problem." he paused as the bad news would follow soon.


Du Wen Hai's face lighted up when he heard his baby has arrive to this world, now he can see her and shower her with love. His assistant's voice interrupted his thoughts 


"Ehem. Right after the three of you were admitted to the hospital, news broke out that the young miss is the star of disaster to the Du family. It was also said that the star of disaster inherited the company, our company's stock crash overnight," his assistant explained.


He waited for a reaction from Du Wen Hai but it did not come, instead Du Wen Hai was exceptionally calm.


Du Wen Hai's mind was working overtime, how could the news gotten out so fast? Damn! He fell into a trap setup by that fox!!! No wonder that fox approached him to work together to get rid of Du Wen Hao without any return, now it made sense. He wanted the company to fall. Ha ha ha. Two can play this game, he mused. He then turn to his assistant to continue the update. His assistant looked at his boss as if his boss had not heard a word he had just said, the Du Group is in trouble. Everyone in the company is in panic. After Du Wen Hao's death, the Du group stocks had never been truly stable.


"I said to continue with your updates! What are you doing staring off into spaces like a donkey?! Do I need to get a new assistant? " roared Du Wen Hai at his assistant.


"Ehem. Sorry, I spaced out, Erm, the girl, Ru Ran ran away and made a police report with evidence of you slapping her and Matriach Du abusing her. It is all over the internet"


He did not dare to continue further as he saw the ugly sight in front of him became uglier.


Du Wen Hai was outraged. He flung whatever that was within his reach onto the floor in his fit of anger.


That girl, that girl is truly a demon! That bitch! He is going to find her even it takes him all that he has and once she is in his hands, he will torture her until she begs him to take her life. Even if she did, he will continue to torture her.


Hidden motives
