Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

"Ran, why are you sorry? You did not set the fire nor did you explode the hospital," said Ji Yu lovingly.


"The true target is me, they attack you because of me. Do you regret marrying me?" asked Ru Ran as she stared at Ji Yu without blinking.


"Silly woman, your IQ needs to be higher to match this husband of yours. Not even a planck length (smallest unit) of regret. I told you before and I am telling you now, all my life I have been waiting to be with you, to be your man and live a life where we can grow old together. Just yesterday I saw this old couple in their 80s walking hand in hand, the husband was holding an ice cream cone for the wife to eat, and I wanted that too for us," he said gazing back into her jet black eyes.


She could not help but envision them together and let out a smile. Their moment was interrupted by a call from Darren. He just received a lead regarding the fire and asked if he should act upon it or release the crows. Ji Yu told Darren to wait and to release the crows first.


Ru Ran who was at the side was perplexed by the phrase release the crows. Seeing her confused face, Ji Yu could not help himself and pinched both of her cheek earning him a scowl from her as she massages her cheeks.


He explained that they had trained murder of crows (a group of crows) as spies, with tiny camera attached to their body. Crows have great intelligence especially at facial recognition and is good at tailing and being at places inconspicuously. It appeared Darren had a lead on a man that appeared to have start the fire at the orphanage. Putting the crows on him is a better idea than to immediately hold him hostage and interrogate him for answer. At the same time, their hackers are already hacking his accounts looking for recent large sum money transfer. Ru Ran was so impressed that her eyes glowed with admiration.


"It seems as the days goes by, you seem to appreciate how capable your husband really is," Ji Yu said shamelessly.


"Such a shameless man. Even the crazy people as not as shameless as you because they don't announce to the world they are crazy," said Ru Ran with a teasing smile.


"Come let me show you what true shameless is about. I missed you," said Ji Yu as his hand went under her pajama and found her breast under her bra.
