Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness. 

Years later, when they meet again, he stuck to her like a fly she could not get rid off. He kept insisting she took advantage of him when they were young and insisted that she take full responsibility for him.

20 years ago:
"Little girl, you really need to take responsibility on this young master when we are older. I am never going to let you go." He whispered into her ears. Due to his illness, he somehow grew up a little mature than peers his age. Hence, it wasn't a normal for him to be thinking about his future at such young age. In fact, since he was three years old, he had been groomed to be a fine young man in order to prepare him as he is the next heir of his prestigious family. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

A story about love and revenge. (I hope so)

My reflection in your eyes

Ai Sha woke up with a splitting headache and was surprised that Ken was sitting beside her. She was afraid of this man but at the same time, he excites her.


"You have slept for 16 hours, the pillow you slept on has been mapped. Plus Mr Lover boy dropped by but I chased him away. I told him you fainted because of joy after accepting my proposal," he said when he realised she had awaken.


Ai Sha jolted out of bed by his mere provocation. The first thing she did was to look at her pillow and only to see it was clean. She threw her pillow at him as she heard him let out a snicker. She tried to speak but her voice was toad croaky.


He snapped his finger and one of his men appeared and poured her a glass of water. She took the glass and drank elegantly. Only after wiping her mouth off any water residue that she began to speak. 


"Lover boy?" she said with a hoarse voice.


"Some guy with a Han surname," he replied.


"Mr Ken, when a person is insignificant, what else should be said?"


Ken clapped his hands out loud and then he said in smiling tone, "Good. Good. As expected of my future wife, she has to be clear off her past attachments. Young Master Han, you have heard her reply, now can you leave?"


Ai Sha then saw a man stepped out from behind the curtain looking defeated and left after nodding his head to Ken.


One word flashed through her mind. Cruel. He totally crush Young Master Han's feelings and he did it in such an evil way. She imagine a ninja with a sharp katana, with one swift move, the opponent's head had already been beheaded.


"Why? Not happy I have chased away Mr Lover boy?" he asked her with a raise eyebrow.


She ignored him and laid back down without saying a word. She is tired. She lost her mother, her heart was broken by the man she had been pining for years, looking at the back of the man who left in a defeated and dejected mode reminded her very much of herself.


"I am leaving. You need to be less uptight. Ha ha ha. I want to make myself clear, when you agree to pair up with me, I will not tolerate another man be it in your head, heart, or anywhere near you," he whispered in her ears.


She shivered even though the atmosphere was not cold. She just signed her soul off to the devil.  She shut her eyes tightly refusing to open her eyes to look at him. She heard him chuckled and then he just left.


Only after he left, she opened her eyes, filled with resentments, she grabbed a glass sitting on her bed side table and threw it on the wall. It is all because of Du Ru Ran. Her life was so peaceful before she came back. She shouldn't have come back and better off dead.


Then the face of Ken came to her mind, she shivered, the man is a devil. Someone she should stay far away but somehow she feels connected to him in some way. She could not explain her exact feeling but he gives her excitement but at the same time fear.


She then thought about Shen Ji Yu, the humiliation, the pain, she will return it all. Not today but soon. She will make him regret that he chose Ru Ran not her.
