Having tied the loose ends, Ken finally let out a breath of relief. He can return to her side now.

Ken was greeted by the sight of Ji Yu massaging Ru Ran's feet when he entered the ward. Ru Ran quickly withdrew her feet and straightened her posture when she heard the sound of the door. Ji Yu bend down and helped Ru Ran wear her socks as if it was only natural for him to do it. Ru Ran was trying to tell him she could do it herself but to avail and in the end she just surrendered. Ken could only smile helplessly at this sort of scene.

"Settled?" asked Ji Yu without looking up to the person he was addressing.

"Mm. How is she?"

"She woke up once, calling out your name, the second time, she was calling out for Ran" answered Ji Yu.

Ken had already taken his place beside Ai Sha by the time Ji Yu is done donning the socks on Ru Ran's feet.

"We will go now since you are back, she is in a lot of pain, but luckily nothing is broken, but the doctor did mentioned she may need counselling post trauma," said Ru Ran quietly.

Rape, is a revolting crime. Ru Ran wished that all rapist get their privates mutilated so that they could never rape again. Surviving such experience near rape, or rape is such an ordeal and she hopes Ai Sha could overcome it.

She approved of Ken's brutal punishment on Han Tian Cheng, it seems that after this there is no hope for that useless thing to work anymore. He might not be able to live to see another daylight either. He'd be confine to a solitary dark cell for the rest of his life.

Ru Ran stopped by Ai Sha's side to whisper, "I hope you wake up soon, because someone is waiting for you to wake, sleeping beauty"

"Cousin in law, we make a move first ya, if anything please give us a call," said Ru Ran.

Ji Yu just gave Ken a pat on his shoulder. During the time when Ken had left them to care for Ai Sha, he had already been lectured by Ru Ran about behaving appropriately including when is appropriate to be jealous and when it is not. Hence, the reason why he is quite well behaved at the moment. Plus, his wife did promise him a reward once she reaches the three months pregnancy mark. Thinking about it, gave him joy. He misses being intimate with his wife.

Ru Ran was oblivious to Ji Yu's thoughts, if she knew what her husband was thinking, she might have flicked him on his forehead.

Darren was waiting for Shin Tong when she showed up pouting.

"Why are you unhappy to see me?" he asked while leaning lazily against the railing behind him. Beside him was a can of unopened soybean drink.

Her expression changed when she saw her favourite drink. She took the drink when he handed it to her.

"It's nothing, it is just that I was expecting for us to walk here together but you ended up walking here alone. Forget about it," she said.

Darren was used to her weird ways of thinking, uncomplicated things can end up being complicated if she put in too much thoughts into it. Since she said forget about it, he might not dwell on it or it may end up into an argument.

"How come you knew I was thirsty?" she asked sweetly.

"I had too many coins," he replied.

"You know, you are just so not romantic! I was thinking such a sweet guy I have waiting for me with my favourite drink," she complained.

"Well, I bought it just for you, I know it's your favourite," he retorted.

"You could have answered me that way instead of saying you had many coins and you didn't know what to do with it and ended up spending it on me," she pouted.

"It was the truth, I had many coins and I saw the vending machine selling your favourite drink and so I had you in mind when I pressed for your favourite drink," he explained patiently with a smile on his face.

Shin Tong opened and closed her mouth like a gold fish, she does not have any reply to that.

Darren's smile deepened. It is a rare occasion he wins in the battle of words. Once arrived his car, he held the passenger door opened for her like a gentleman and only to close it once she is safely inside.

He got himself into the driver's seat, he then stared at her wickedly and asked, "So, you drank it all?"

Shin Tong who was so thirsty, drank the whole can all by herself and she had even forgotten to offer some to him, don't tell me, he wanted some, she felt guilty all of the sudden.

"Didn't you say, you bought it for me?" she asked suppressing her guilt.

"Yes, I did. I just asked if you finished it, why are we going backwards? Isn't it already established that I bought it for you?" he asked innocently. He just love to see her all rile up, when she is guilty or angry, her cheeks will get all rosy, making her irresistible.

"Then why are you guilt tripping me? Since you bought me a can, I assume you had your share, since you had many coins to waste, I am sure you bought yourself a can," she continue to ramble.

"I didn't even say anything about you not sharing why are you so defensive, all I wanted to know if you had finished drinking," he said smiling.

"You.. You are definitely doing this on purpose" she glared at him. This man, ever since they agreed to be together, he has been annoying. Always doing things to needle her or get her all agitated. Is this how a man court a woman?

He leaned into her and answered, "Yes, I am doing it on purpose, because if you had already drank finished, I would like to have a taste too, right from your mouth."

He then took her lower lips and suckled on it before slipping his tongue into her wide opened mouth. Only after getting his fill, he releases her and said with a smirked ," Mm, you taste of soya bean,"

He then stares straight ahead and started to drive. Shin Tong racing heart could only calm down after two full minutes. Damn this man, why is it she is the one who suffer losses?
