Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness. 

Years later, when they meet again, he stuck to her like a fly she could not get rid off. He kept insisting she took advantage of him when they were young and insisted that she take full responsibility for him.

20 years ago:
"Little girl, you really need to take responsibility on this young master when we are older. I am never going to let you go." He whispered into her ears. Due to his illness, he somehow grew up a little mature than peers his age. Hence, it wasn't a normal for him to be thinking about his future at such young age. In fact, since he was three years old, he had been groomed to be a fine young man in order to prepare him as he is the next heir of his prestigious family. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

True to Shin Tong's parents words, they sent over her belonging that very day. Shin Tong could not help but feel embarrassed by her parents behaviour. Darren in the other hand realised that his current condominium won't fit all of Shin Tong's belonging. His usual peace and neat place had turned what looked like a storage place. It was even hard to get around the place due to congestion. Shin Tong wished she could bury herself into a hole. Shin Tong's parents on the other hand were ecstatic.


"Haha, they will be busy unpacking and arranging, including looking for a new place to stay, I am sure our daughter chastity will be protected at least till then. As much as I trust Darren, the temptation of staying together is too great, plus your daughter is not a Saint, she took after you," said Shin Tong's father to his wife.


"Old man, she takes after you! You are the horny one. If it wasn't for you, I might have ended up with that dreamy guy in high school, I heard he is now staying in Quentino and is pretty successful," she said resentfully but with a twinkle in her eye. He glared at her back and pinched her lightly on her butt while saying," Let's see tonight who does the begging? "


" Bring it on, old man! " she said with her chin held high but inside she self confidence crumble as she know tonight she'd be the one begging for mercy. He chuckled aloud at her expression and gave her a swift kiss on her proud lips. 


Ru Ran was discharged without much issues. They scheduled for the doctor to visit tomorrow. Since, he is coming, might as well set the stage for him and Ah Li at the decoy house. Ji Yu squeezed Ru Ran hand and said in a soft voice, "Darling, soon, soon, I promise you, I'll teach this monster a lesson for you and your parents but before that I need to thank him sending you to my side. I will make sure our babies will be born into a peaceful world."


He is more determined to close the chapter on this hidden villain especially when he just found out, they are not just expecting one but two babies! He didn't believe it at first but the Doctor Ji explained that it is possible to miss a twin pregnancy at very early stage of pregnancy. The scan done in secret earlier this morning confirmed Ru Ran was expecting twins instead. They had to try so hard to suppress the grin and happiness on their face to continue their act to fool Ah Li. 


Ken was observing Ai Sha closely, it seems since yesterday she had been having blank stares lasting for 2 minutes. After the episode, she just faints and only to regain consciousness after 5 minutes. When he asked her about it, she just mentioned pre episode she just feel like she lost control of her mind for a second, she felt she was going crazy as she could hear Ah Li's voice in her head giving her some instructions. The moment she heard his voice, she had a strong urge to resist him then comes on the episodes which she has no recollection. He had already spoke to Doctor Ji about it and a brain scan as well as an EEG, brain waves study were done. Except for what appeared to be a small mass in her frontal lobe, everything seems to be normal. The EEG confirmed she has absence seizure but it does not explain the voice in the head. It seems to be occuring more frequent.
