Chapter 1
"Baby ohh if I had the mon-."
"Y/N hurry up! Who do you think I am the freaking time keeper!" I stop singing in the shower and hurry up myself so that my mom doesn't have to scream again. She always does this but I guess it's because she cares. "Okay Im going to get changed and get ready."
"alright I'll be in the car." I get dressed, pack all my things for school and obviously put my charger,headphones and chapstick in my pocket. I get in the car and immediately put my headphones on.
"Hello! I'm talking!" My mom says. "Sorry."
" You know I'm getting really tired of you listening to that demonic music! You should listen to some Christian music instead." I put my headphones away to make her happy and listen to her music on the radio instead. I hate that she always says demonic music whenever I put on headphones. Maybe I should just listen to twinkle twinkle little star and wait for my mom to start yelling at me so I can see the look on her face when I remove my headphones from my phone so she listens to the lullaby that I'm playing on my phone."I got something for you." my mother says.
"It's in the back." I reach for something in the back seat and felt a box. When I open it I see a necklace that my mom got me from El Salvador.
"Your aunt got this and sent it to me when I went there last time. I was going to give it to you but I lost it in my bag."
I'm not surprised she looses everything.
" thank you so much mami I love it!"
It's my last year of high school but my life went by so fast. I guess it is true that life's way to short.
"Okay were here" my mom drops me off and I leave the necklace in the box inside the car.
"What are you doing? Do you not like it?" I felt bad that my mom said that but that's not the reason why I'm leaving it in the car.
"I do I just don't want to lose it in the school and I don't have time to put it on right now. I'll wear it tomorrow I promise." My mom nods while leaving. I put my headphones on and get through the day. My mom said that she couldn't pick me up so I just decided to walk home since I didn't see Sonia today. On my way out of school I hear someone calling my name.
"Y/N, Y/N!!!" I pause and turn around looking for who could have called me.
"SONIA!! I thought you weren't here today?" I seriously thought she wasn't here I mean I looked EVERYWHERE.
" I was I just didn't feel like showing up to my classes so I just hung out with Jaden." Jaden her new or old boyfriend I don't know which one it is so I'll just stay quiet.
"You remember him right?" all I did was nod.
"Can you drop me off. My mom couldn't pick me up today."
"Sure let me just get my keys from my baaaaaaaaaaaag ok let's go!" She is such a energetic girl and sassy as hell thats why she's my best friend.
"By Sonia thanks for the ride see you tomarrow" she smiles then drives off making some popping noises. I love her crazy and I need that confidence of hers. I open the door seeing my dad asleep on the couch and he has WWE on. Next time I should call my dad and my mom to pick me up at school. I get to my room and lay on my bed as soon as I see it. I NEED TO STUDY but I'm so tired, do I even have everything I need for this school year? I check my draws and realize I don't have any folders or notebooks other that the one in my binder.
"Mami can we go to the store and buy some things I need for school please." I can't believe that I started school and went so unprepared. WHO AM I!
"Ummm Im going to the mall Maybe there might be some school supplies since it's the first day." I guess she's right it is the beginning of the year and it's just two thing that I need.
"Okay let me just get ready." I seriously hope I find what I'm looking for! We get to the mall and I immediately look for a store that has the things I need.
"Excuse me do you work here?" I ask the lady in the store
"Yes what can i do for you." I ask her where are the school supplies and she tells me the directions to find it. I tell her thank you then walk off. When I get to the place in the store I grab a notebook and see a hand touch the same notebook that im holding.
"It's mine." It's mine what does he mean it's his I'm the one holding it. I don't know who he thinks he is. He takes the notebook from my hand and walks always.
" What the hell is this!! Give me back my notebook!" The guy keeps walking and doesn't even look back.WHAT WAS THAT! Someone can't claim something that they haven't even bought. I swear next time I see that guy I'm going to grab that notebook and stick it where the sun don't shine! I lose hope in the store and try to look for another one that might have a notebook and other thing, I mean this is a mall so I can buy whatever I need. I decided to get more than what I needed just Incase. I go sit down outside to wait for my mom to Finnish up shopping so we can go home. I start to enjoy how dark and quiet it surprisingly is, until I see A GUY WITH A NOTEBOOK THAT HE SUPPOSEDLY CLAIMED AT A STORE THAT I RECENTLY VISITED!!! So you would think a normal person who is 18 would discuss this in very adultly way right? But that's not me.
"Excuse me."
