Ragnar was heading through the forest into the direction of the clan... as suddenly the trees in front of him began to shake and fall over... something was coming... and it was huge and powerful... Ragnar climbed on a tree and hid in the treetops... as he saw a three-meter tall and eight-meter long lizard passing him by and running through everything that stood in its path. "What is happening, why is that huge thing running so fast?" It looked like a bigger version of a Komodo-Dragon. Ragnar could see that the lizard was in a panic and was running away from something. Ragnar became very nervous and looked back at the path the giant lizard left behind. All he saw was a glimpse of yellow light passing him by at lightning speed. Even with his superior instincts, he was unable to see what that light was... a few seconds later a huge explosion was heard... it came from the direction the lizard escaped into.
Ragnar was very scared right now... but he was also very curious what that might have been... he decided not to flee but try to close in on the position of the explosion. He moved slowly without making any noise... he was sweating all over because he was really nervous... as he neared the position he hid behind some bushes and watched the scene in front of him. A huge lizard was laying on the ground in its stomach a hole with a diameter of about 1.5 meters. The area around the hole was charred. Nothing else could be seen... Ragnar was wondering what might have happened to that lizard... as suddenly something came out of that hole in the stomach of that lizard. It was a golden snake with wings on its back... the peculiar thing was that it radiated lightning from its body... golden lightning was wandering and moving over the scales of that snake-like creature... soon it turned around and began eating the lizard.
The lightning on its body would from time to time hit the lizard and heat its meat... Ragnar thought, "What an interesting way to prepare a meal." he then got up an wanted to escape the scene. He was truly scared of that golden snake since it could kill that giant lizard with no problem at all. As he wanted to leave, he stepped on a twig. "Crack" The golden snake turned around and saw Ragnar... it growled at him and unleashed a lightning attack at Ragnar. Ragnar could not react at all and as the lightning hit him he felt unbearable pain running through his body. Suddenly the amulet on Ragnar's chest began to shine and it absorbed the lightning energy... the snake looked very confused by the fact that Ragnar was still standing there. It unleashed another attack and the lightning was absorbed again. Slowly but surely the snake became impatient and fear started to build up in its mind. It then decided to run away... Ragnar was just standing there fighting the pain running through his body... after some time passed the lightning running through his body completely left and was absorbed by the amulet... the sign for lightning on that amulet shined more intensely than before... he than collapsed and fell asleep.
When he came to his senses he was still laying in front of that giant lizard... he stood up and noticed that his muscles where really sour and aching like he had done some intense muscle training. He looked at his amulet and saw that nothing was out of the usual... the lightning sign dimmed down again when he was unconscious. "I do not know what just happened but I am really thankful for your help," Ragnar said as he looked at the amulet and walked over to the corpse of the lizard... let's see how you taste... I am starving... he then prepared the lizard... this time when he was skinning the lizard he took and stored the skin... he did the same with the blood he had a feeling that this could be useful... the skin was tough and strong good to make some leather armor from it... and the blood had a strong odor that made his entire body become intimidated.
When he finished grilling the meat he stored most of it away... and ate about a third of it... "Tastes not bad... a little too tender but very tasty" After finishing to eat he felt a warm flow of energy running through his body, this feeling was very comfortable so he laid down and took some rest... soon he noticed that the sun was about to set. He then stood back up and noticed some tremendous changes in his body. He felt completely fine, every muscle that was aching before was now feeling not only like normally... he felt as if he became stronger... and not just a tiny bit. He ran back to the clan and was trying to get a feeling for his newfound strength... he had to make some adjustments when running and jumping so he would not fall or hit a tree... it did not take long before his instincts kicked in and he was able to adjust to his strength.
When he arrived he ran directly for his father... Loken looked at him with disappointment he knew that Ragnar was enjoying his time in the forest and that he would often loiter around there and waste his time... he wanted Ragnar to train and gain knowledge and understanding in the way to connect to Metal. Ragnar was a very curious kid that loved to explore new things... he was very thankful for his father for letting him the freedom to do whatever he wants inside that forest. Other kids his age were not even allowed to leave their houses without permission from their parents. This was not the first time Ragnar stayed the whole day inside the forest and skipped his training session. "Father I am sorry for not making it back to train... but something big happened." Loken's expression changed, "So, let's hear it what happened then??" he thought that Ragnar was exaggerating... what could have happened in that forest... it was completely safe there... that was the only reason why he allowed Ragnar to hunt there.
"A huge lizard was killed by a golden snake that could attack with Lightning," Ragnar said with excitement on his face... "What!!??, describe those beasts to me." Loken was chocked... he could not believe what he just heard... Ragnar was surprised by his father's change of expression. "The giant lizard was running really fast and no tree standing in its way were left fine... they all broke or fell on the ground... as it passed me by I saw a yellow flash heading in the same direction..." Ragnar described to Loken all the things that happened and left nothing untold. "You ate it???" Loken asked with astonishment. "From your description, those should be ferocious Beasts. Ferocious Beasts are creatures like the Beastman but they do not possess any intelligence and are very powerful... even Expert level cultivators have a hard time fighting them."
"Yeah, I ate it... after eating it I recovered and was even stronger than before... do you want to try some?" Ragnar said and looked at his father with a smile on his face. "Humans cannot digest those creatures, I would die from eating it... the power containing inside them is very enormous and can only strengthen other Beasts... those two whom you described were not only ferocious Beasts... they were Dragon-type ferocious Beasts that are able to connect to the Dragon elements... the big one should be an Earth-type land Dragon that could unroot the trees by softening the ground and the other was a Lightning-type air Dragon." Ragnar finally understood why these Beasts were so powerful and that he was lucky to have survived. "But what were they doing in that forest? I thought those Beasts do not live in this area?" Ragnar asked.
