The handsome man who was staring at the scarred girl was obviously Ren.

He had already started his plan to get stronger and the first step to this plan was to get a Aura cultivation manual, and that is also the reason he had come to this shabby apartment.

Anybody would wonder how is he able to find a precious Aura cultivation manual in a shabby apartment, the answer to the question is the scarred girl and her brother.

The girl has a long scar on her neck and because of her skinny face and cheap and old clothes, anyone would find her ugly but in Ren's eyes, there was not even a strand of disgust, he was just calmly looking at her.

By her side was her brother, he has black hair and black eyes which average features. He was somewhat skinny and the only notable thing is that he was covered in bruises. He was silent but Ren can see that he was wary towards Ren.

As they just stare at each other, Ren repeated his question.

"Do you want to change your life?"

Hearing the question, the girl stammers and asked confused.

"Wh…what do....you mean?"

"I want to trade with you, a trade that can change your life completely" he said calmly.

"Trade?…what trade? I don't think we have something of value" the girl said confused.

"Well, why don't we talk over dinner. I will treat you"

"Um..I have work" the girl said in a low voice.

"Huh, work?"

The girl nodded and said.

"I have a night shift at a restaurant"

After thinking for a while, Ren said.

"How about it, you two come with me for dinner and I will pay you 500 RMB"

Hearing the words, both the siblings eyes shook, they have never thought that he would give them 500 RMB just for having dinner with them.

"Umm….my pay for the night shift is only 200 RMB" the girl said in a low voice but Ren heard it and said while chuckling.

"Don't worry about it"

She didn't know what to do. Just a moment ago, she was crying because of the loan sharks and now she and her brother was having dinner with a handsome guy who came to her house apparently to trade something.

He had white hair and deep black eyes, he was young, probably 16-17 but had a kind of mature charm.

If it was some other guy who had invited them to dinner, she would have rejected him but it was the first time outside of my family that someone was not disgusted by my scar, that's the main reason I decided to agree.

Well, he will also give us 500 RMB apparently for having dinner with us, which I feel little bad about as he is also the one who was paying for the dinner but money is as important as my life right now.

I know I am selfish but I had a ill mother to look after.

He also has a very pretty woman as his driver or....secretary I think.

I wonder what's their relationship?

She is not his girlfriend…right?

No, no don't think about it, it will just be a futile attempt, he is that handsome and also rich, does he really like a skinny girl with a long scar like me.

He would have several girls trying to get close to him, how would he think about me.

"Are you okay?"

At his words, I realized that I have not introduced myself yet but as I was about to introduce myself, my brother spoke.

Hearing me brother words, I realized that what he told was true. I immediately increase my guard against Ren.

I noticed his expression was calm and he nodded and said.

"Well, it's true that I know about the both of you but trust me, I haven't investigated you. If I had, then I wouldn't have trouble finding your house"

When I heard his words, I know it was true, I don't know if it was instinct or not but I felt that his words were true.

"Well, I trust you but what was the thing you want to trade and.…how much can you give us for it?"

My brother said with a face of expectation and nervousness.

I can understand how he feels right now, If the thing Ren wants was indeed with them, then they can sell it, and because Ren is rich, he probably wouldn't be stingy and the most important thing to them was money.

After a while Ren said.

"The thing I want is the book you gained when you received your father inheritance"

When he said the words, both me and my brother was stunned, the thing I received from my father inheritance was not only debt but also a old book, a blank book.

The only thing my father told me about the book was that it was very precious item and I should never lose it, but for me it was only a blank book.

After a while, my brother said somewhat shuttering.

"Yo….you want….that blank book"

Ren nodded at his answer and said.

"I do want that blank book"

"How much you can offer for that book"

My brother said but he was clearly dissapointed, no one will pay a huge price for just a blank book. No sane person will even buy a blank book!!

I wonder what he is going to do with the book, my father did tell me it was precious but how much I look at it, it was just a blank book.

After a while Ren said some words which stunned me and my brother.

"I am willing to pay off your debt, and admit your mother into a good hospital, I will even give you a house to live in"

My brother stood up from his seat and said while shuttering.

"You….are joking…right, no sane person.…will pay that much….for a blank…book"

"I am not joking at all but I also want another thing with the book"

"What…other thing?"

My brother said confused.

"I want you to work for me"

When I heard those words, I interjected.

"What do you mean by work for you, my brother just a 14, what can he do, you aren't some smuggler, right"

I said with some vigilance.

When he heard my words, he chuckled and said.

"Miss, I am not a smuggler or something, and for your question, yes, he is too young to work but you don't fully understand my meaning. I want to train him and give him a chance, so that he won't waste his talent"

Me and my brother both said at the same time, from what I can remember, my brother didn't have any talent except that he can run fast.

My brother nodded and when I wanted to refute, I saw my brother resolute eyes, I know he will not listen to me.

Chi Shang stood in front of the window looking down at the crowds of people bustling with activity, softly sucking in a breath.

The business service assistant reported.

"Song Xue! Is she can be threat to our company?"

The assistant said.

"No, it didn't feel like she can be a threat. She is in the company for 10 years and the only reason she have been chosen to debut was because they had no choice, they can only struggle helplessly"

Chi Shang nodded and said.

"He didn't seem to be much of a threat but Lin Rui is not someone who will give his daughter hand to just a third-rate wealthy family. What do you think?, why is Lin Rui trying to set them up"

The assistant nodded and said.

"According to my analysis, there are some possibilities to this matter."

Chi Shang curiously asked, "What possibilities? Tell me."

The business service assistant pushed his glasses up slightly and said.

"First, Lin Rui wants to expand his business to the capital through Xin Ren, and second, he sees lots of potential in Xin Ren and wanted him to marry his daughter"

Chi Shang nodded and said

"Yes, it looks like I have to propose a engagement to the Lin family, given the circumstances"

"Director Chi, you mean…."

Before the assistant can speak Chi Shang intercepted him and said.

"Originally, I have thought that Chi Shen will be able to impress her but it's look like there is not enough time. Chi Shen may like her but that girl is giving cold shoulder to him, if this continues, Lin Rui will surely engaged Lin Ran to that Xin Ren"

"Is that Xin Ren going to study at the "First high school"

The assistant nodded and said.

"Yeah, he is going to attend the same high school as the Young master"

With a small laugh, Chi Shang said.

"Good, tell Chi Shen to properly 'take' care of him"

The assistant carefully asked.

"Director Chi, what you mean is…"

Chi Shang coldly said.

"Don't ask what you shouldn't ask. Now, go!"

"Yes."

The assistant broke out in cold sweat and instantly left.

When there was only him left in the office, Chi Shang let out a cold laugh.

"Hehe, Lin Rui, I will surely aquire your Lin enterprises. Just you wait and see.
