Meeting her (3)

"She left the city yesterday."

" What? " Madam Shin could not hide the shock written in her voice.

"Miss Ray left the city yesterday." Assistant Zhou stated.

" To where? When! How ?"

" Ma'am we have been following her since the day you told. There was nothing exceptional about her. She used to visit the orphanage regularly, bought gifts for the children and spent almost entire day there..other than that she used to move around the city with a camera and sometimes used to go to chapel and visited the cafe beside it. But all of a sudden yesterday....we... we lost contact with her..."

"She was on the way to the airport. We spotted her entering the international flights section. But after that we lost her. It seeems like she doesn't even exist. She just disappeared into thin air almost without leaving any trace. They found nothing in the cctvs of the airport... and surprisingly this time too there was not a trace left at the Ritz."

The man stood beside assistant Zhou continued " .. the hotel was booked by the same company.. but somehow it seems like they are secretive about Miss Ray. So, we were unable to continue trail her further..."

Mrs. Shin was shocked rather than surprised.

" I can understand.." she assured them " But how could she just dissapper like that ?"

Prof. Shin chuckled listening to their conversation 'Interesting... the best match for Yang it seems...'

" Miss Alexa is a foreigner... where else she could go from the airport? She went back to her home. Simple. Maybe her trip was over. We eagerly wanted to meet her and we did. We had our speculations but found nothing. Now as she left... we should respect her privacy."

The professor gestured his assistant to wait for him inside the office and walked his wife to the living room.

"Shuhua darling, I understand how you are feeling... I know you are thinking about Yang. But darling you see... they don't even know each other... and Yang likes someone else.. He made it clear long time ago right?" Mrs. Shin nodded in agreement.

"The girl is a foreigner... I know you like her. I like her too. She is such a free spirit. Who wouldn't? But you have to understand Misus. We even unethically investigated her. It was dude for us to do so too. She might have a boyfriend back at home. She has a family too. And here we are... planning everything without even considering anything.. " he continued " Miss Alexa doesn't and will not want to come up with any such unnecessary incidents here. After observing her you must have understood they are not the same girls. She is just a nice foreigner coming here to enjoy herself. So, we should respect that. We should not make her feel burdened... Just leave it here darling."

The professor kissed her forehead and advised her to take some rest and think about his words.

Mrs. Shin agreed upon giving it a deep thought. Her mind was still lingering over the sweet girl.

She was sure no other girl can compare her spirit. Alexa was the fresh air after a long summer day that cools down your turbulent heart. She could make anyone laugh with her infectious smile.

The professor went back to the office room where the assistant and the investigator was waiting for him.

He noticed during the conversation they tried not to disclose some things in front of his wife so she gestured them to wait for him.

"Now gentlemen. Please say. What's bugging you in the first place?" without making any further ado he bluntly asked them.

" The fact is Mr. Shin..." Assistant Zou muttered with hesitation "The case is not that simple as it seems."

"We'll, I trusted you with the case because I knew it was not simple Mr. Zou." He looked at him without a trace of known gentleness. The mysterious second son of the Shin group was back in his place.

"I'm sure you know well that I won't involve you in trivial matters."

"Ah yes.. of course Sir." Mr. Zou nodded his head and handed him over some documents.

"Sir, She may look simple but the attires she wore were from the biggest fashion houses of Paris. Every little thing about her were screaming rich but at the first glance no one can guess the price. We had really hard time finding out this fact."

Assistant Zou began to describe how they got in touch with a leftover handkerchiefand and how one colleague from the team commented about the fancy thing and how they found out it to be a product from a famous milan fashion house.

"Sir the gifts she brought for the children were specifically ordered and delivered here from the states. Everything were customised. And we found out she made a college fund for the children of the orphanage. Another interesting thing sir, the children there receive gifts from her on their birthdays. We traced back and found they come from a famous shop here and they were paid already for the next 10 years."

"Mmmm...." Professor Shin gestured him to continue. He had a hunch about these things.

"And sir, the cars that used to receive her from the hotel might look the same but strangely we found the number plates were different each time and all these numbers turned out to be fake." Assistant Zou looked at the investigator to talk.

The man provide him another document " Sir, on the way to the airport we found out another party was also following her. And we still don't have any clue about this other party."

Professor Shin rushed through the pages and asked them what about the DNA test?"

To his question the assistant looked down and shook his head "Surprisingly there was no specimen left in the hotel room not even a single strand of hair."

"And sir, we also found the name 'Alexa Ray' on the passenger list of the flight back to the USA."

"Interesting." The professor commented and asked to reach out to the USA for further investigation.

The reports suggest them of someone powerful backing her in hiding informations and that person whoever it was not just powerful. Even the power of the Shins couldn't reveal anything more.It made him slightly uncomfortable and more curious about the whole scenario.
