"Don't protest or I'll kiss you!"
Rose fell silent for a moment, she let William carry her calmly.
Stepped out of their room and then slowly went down the stairs.
"Why do you like carrying me so much? Don't I feel heavy at all?" Rose asked, unable to take her eyes off William's calm face.
"I just like being close to you," William answered, a short answer but it made Rose nervous, and felt her heart pounding.
"How can you be heavy if you only eat once a day? Why do you live like someone who lacks money and ends up starving?" William asked a question that could make Rose's face darken.
"Because I can't have space for other people to talk about my shortcomings. Being born a woman was already a big mistake for my parents, I can't add another mistake, one of which is letting my weight not be ideal." Rose answered. William knows what it's like to live like that, not having your own life is the same as living on the edge of a cliff, if you take the wrong step and are not careful you could fall at any time.
"You are already my wife, I am responsible for you now," William said right when they were on the last step.
"I know..." Rose answered slowly, She was free from the control of her parents now but she was trapped with a man she didn't love. Isn't that the same?
"Because of that... Except for betraying me, you are free to do whatever makes you happy."
Rose looked up, looking for the truth of what William had just said.
Did she hear correctly? Rose couldn't look away even when William sat her on a chair at the dining table.
"Eat as you like, wear clothes that make you comfortable, live like a normal woman according to your wishes... Don't be perfect because of other people. Be whatever you are as long as you are happy."
Like a barren field suddenly flooded with rain, what William said to her seemed to bring life to her life which had previously felt dead.
William smiled as he gently stroked Rose's face before sitting right in front of Rose.
"You don't like pasta?" William asked because Rose still hadn't touched the pasta in front of her.
"I like it," Rose answered, immediately eating her pasta very hungrily.
This was the second time she had been able to eat without thinking about anything, the first time when she and William went to eat sushi together and then now.
The pasta that William made was so delicious and even tasted twice as delicious that she almost had tears.
"Eat slowly, I'll make you more if it's not enough," William said smiling warmly.
"You are good at cooking." Praise Rose.
"I'm good at everything except making love because I never do."
"I never did either."
Without William and Rose realizing they opened their respective ace cards which ultimately made them choke simultaneously.
"Drink..." Rose and William said in unison while handing them their respective glasses.
Rose and William then ended up drinking water from their respective glasses because they felt embarrassed.
"I was joking about that," William said as an excuse. Of course, he didn't want to lose face in front of Rose.
"Me too," Rose replied with an awkward laugh.

William and Rose have finished eating, and now William invites Rose to go out to see the sea because the sky is no longer cloudy. The light of the full moon beautifies the view tonight, especially as millions of stars scattered across the sky twinkle to decorate the slightly cloudy sky.
"Watch your steps, your legs are still recovering," William said Rose looked so excited that she was running on the beach.
"I think my leg is healed now," Rose replied excitedly, She stopped for a moment to feel the waves rolling over the back of her feet.
"It's so cold..." Rose exclaimed happily.
"You like the sea?" William asked after being right next to Rose.
"I like it it," Rose answered with a smile, She had been in her room all day and just cried without noticing how beautiful the view of this island was.
"Do you often go to the beach then?" William asked as he invited Rose to sit on the beach on the fine white sand.
"Sometimes, only when our family members are having a party," Rose replied lazily, It was clear that Rose's face was gloomy again.
"My parents are always busy, they ignore me all the time, only when I make a mistake do they want to look at me, angry looks and a shrill tone of voice, I got that a lot when I was little." Rose's story.
"At first I always made mistakes on purpose, I was so thirsty for their love that I didn't mind being scolded until one day I made another mistake but at that time I was just defending my friend who was being bullied and it got me into legal trouble and for the first time my mother said that She should never have given birth to a troublesome child like me."
"I think that is what they have felt in their hearts for me. I should have never been born, why was I born a woman? What's wrong with me being a woman, even my mother is also a woman. Every time I remember my mother's words, I want to end my life." Rose started to become emotional, she couldn't hold back her tears when she told the story.
"What did I do wrong? Every time it comes time to gather with the extended family, everyone makes fun of me, They ridicule me because I'm not good at academics, I'm stupid and a troublemaker. I don't deserve to be loved, I don't deserve to be an honorable member of their family."
"I was between life and death, my life was destroyed without me knowing why it was destroyed. Every night I had nightmares and felt small until I found my dream. For the first time, I felt worthy of living." Rose continued, she raised her head to look at the sky so that her tears would stop falling.
"Every time I was on stage, seeing everyone happy because of my presence, I just wanted to continue living like that but then my family said that I was the same as other entertainers who sold my body for success, and in the end, I would just be a mistress. They broke my wings..."
Rose's body shook violently, she finally expressed all the emotions that had been hidden in her heart all this time. Her tears didn't stop falling, she drowned in her sadness in William's arms, who hugged her warmly.
"Am I that bad? I work day and night, and I chase my dreams until it feels like my sweat turns to blood but whatever I do everything is a mistake. Why is that? Why am I so worthless?" Rose burst into tears, she vented her complaints and William was like a sedative who was able to calm her down just by stroking her hair.
"You are precious, you mean a lot to me. I will stand before you and protect you, I will not let anyone break your happiness, that is my promise." William said firmly, for the first time he made a promise without the slightest hesitation.
How shocked Rose had been all this time, William thought that Rose's parents were only saying bad things about Rose behind Rose's back but it turned out they were the same as Jackson.
