Chapter 27: The Light

Leonardo Ricci's POV

I felt my head was throbbing so hard. I groaned as I was moving my hands to my head. I cannot think anymore. I don't know if I survive the duel or now.

"Damn it," I groaned as I was tossing and turning. I felt something soft under my body. I tried to open my eyes. It was blinding as I moved my hands to block the lights that penetrated my eyes.

"Bloody Hell," I said as I was trying to adjust my eyes around me. I saw a canopied bed with maroon satin and color around the room. The mahogany furniture of desk, drawers, closets. I was not in the arena anymore. I don't even know where I was.

I sat up in the bed as I was looking around before I felt someone's heat beside me. When I turned to look, it was someone that I wasn't expecting.

Kate.
