Jungkook POV
Finally, after five long and painful years of waiting, I got the girl I had set my eyes on for the longest period of time in my life.
I hugged her tightly, squeezing a little every now and then to make sure this was real, that she actually said yes.
"Jungkook! You're squishing me!"
I smiled and buried my face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent.
She smelled like home and cookies and everything I love and I've ever wanted.
I loosened my hold on her a little, granting her the ability to breathe properly once more.
We were currently opening presents.
Everyone had gone home for the night except BTS and Jimin hyung's cousin, Seowon.
"Jinhee open my present first!"
"No, mine!"
"Back off both of you, she's gonna love my present the best!"
I chuckled internally, the hyungs and Jinhee have grown a lot closer than before, and they all treated her warmly.
Jinhee looked overwhelmed with so many gifts to choose from, so being the good boyfriend I am, I grabbed the nearest present to help Jinhee with her decision, which happened to be Hoseok hyung's gift.
I gave it to her and she smiled at me with that radiant smile.
My cheeks flamed.
"Thanks Kookie."
That nickname is driving me crazy.
I nodded absently without my brain's permission and shifted my body so that I was leaning against the sofa.
Somehow managing to stuff down my ever-raging hormones, I spread my legs open automatically to make space for Jinhee to sit between them and prop herself on my chest.
I stroked her hair and nuzzled my cheek against her head affectionately.
She opened Hoseok hyung's gift box and squealed happily.
She picked up the gift, an album of her all time favourite K-Pop band: Big Bang, and mine as well.
G-Dragon hyung is my role model.
"Thank you Hobi oppa!"
Jinhee cried in delight, and hugged him tightly around the waist.
My heart grumbled silently, but relented and gave in to peace.
Curse my heart and it's vulnerability to jealousy when Jinhee is involved.
Jinhee opened the next present with a smile on her face, and gasped at the intricate painting inside.
I know who gave this to her.
Taehyung hyung.
He grinned, pleased that Jinhee liked his gift.
The painting looked like it was straight out of a fairytale.
Delicate brush strokes outlined the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.
Green pines and a crystal-clear lake dominated most of the painting, while a small section was isolated from the rest of the artwork, showing the shadows of seven, no, eight people.
I could actually see Jinhee's heart melt at Taehyung hyung's sweet gift.
A painting hand-drawn by my artistic hyung himself, portraying the eight of us now, seated excitedly in the room.
"Thanks Tae oppa, I love it." she whispered, almost tearing up, making Jimin hyung start tearing up as well.
I chuckled silently.
Next was Namjoon hyung's gift, which was a polariod camera.
"So you can keep memories of us forever."
Shit, that was touching.
I dabbed at the corners of my eyes.
"Thank you Namjoon oppa." she smiled breathtakingly.
Yoongi hyung passed her his gift with his usual blank look, but she reached out to take it graciously anyway.
But just before her fingers touched the rounded gift box, it slipped from Yoongi hyung's clumsy and sleepy grasp and dropped onto the floor.
A high-pitched giggle erupted from Taehyung hyung at that, and soon enough, everyone was rolling on the floor dying of laughter at Yoongi hyung's disgruntled expression.
Jinhee grabbed the gift box from the floor and gave Yoongi hyung a lazy side hug to thank him for the effort since he usually didn't bother with stuff like birthday presents due to his obsession with sleep.
She smiled cutely when she peeked inside the box.
Pulling out a very soft-looking neck pillow, she grinned at Yoongi hyung and said, "Thanks oppa, it'll be really nice to sleep on."
Yoongi hyung gave her his infamous gummy smile.
Jin hyung was up next.
He handed Jinhee a very girly and pink gift-wrapped box.
She burst out laughing when she saw what was inside.
We all crowded around her and peered inside the box, curious.
I tilted my head a little and choked on my saliva.
Inside was a very intricately decorated picture frame.
There was only one person in the picture.
Me.
I choked because I looked ridiculous in the photo with my face all scrunched up like I'd just eaten a lemon(#unglams), and because I felt like someone had just shoved down two spoonfuls of Namjoon hyung's horrible burnt pasta down my throat.
Embarrassed would an understatement.
More like crawl-into-a-hole and-never-come-out-again-humiliation.
My neck felt hot and my cheeks flamed.
Everyone snorted with suppressed laughter, while I already started plotting ways to kill Jin hyung in his sleep.
"Kookie you look like a donkey!"(No offense to donkey lovers out there:))
Jimin hyung giggled like a girl and rolled around the floor, clutching at his stomach.
But then Jin hyung, wiping tears from the corners of his eyes, reached inside the box and pulled at the photo.
It slipped out easily and I stared at it, secretly willing it to burst into flames.
The paper was forgotten when Jinhee covered her mouth upon seeing the newly edited picture frame.
It was a picture of Jinhee and I, with our arms around each other.
In the background was a ferris wheel, and we had huge smiles plastered on our faces.
I remember that.
That was the day we all went to the amusement park together and tried all the rides.
Only, Jimin and Hoseok hyung were too scared to sit on the humongous rollercoaster, making us all crack up at their whines.
It was a day to remember, and now we can.
Jinhee gave Jin hyung a happy, watery smile.
Finally, it was Jimin hyung's turn.
I didn't see a present in his hands, but he must have gotten her something!
It was Seowon, his younger cousin, who came forward and placed a gigantic box in front of Jinhee's wide eyes.
The box moved on it's own accord, bumping into Jinhee's feet and mine accidentally.
Everyone watched with awed faces.
Jimin hyung walked forward and gave Jinhee a warm smile, "I got him for you, with some help from Seowon here, since I know you love animals, dogs in particular, I hope you like him and happy birthday."
That being said, he lifted the box's lid and a small furry head popped out eagerly, its tongue hanging out and gave a small bark.
Everyone just froze, waiting for Jinhee's reaction.
She reached a hand out to touch the puppy's head, stroking the soft fur.
Then, like a spell, the world unfroze and Jinhee squealed like a mouse.
"Oh my god! You actually got me a dog, oh my god! Thank you so much!!"
She leaped up, and barelled towards Jimin hyung, jumping on top of him like a koala and squeezing hard.
A loud, muffled, "Oof!" of surprise was emitted from Jimin hyung's mouth as his head disappeared, covered by Jinhee's clothes.
I was still too shocked by the enormity of his gift that I even forgot to feel jealous when my girlfriend hugged another man.
She let go of Jimin hyung and moved on to squish Seowon in a tight embrace, all the while repeating, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"
She skipped back to the waiting puppy, lifting it up and cuddling it, causing small squeaky noises to escape from it's opened mouth.
"It's so CUTE!" was the first thing I heard any of the other hyungs say in a span of two minutes.
"It's a wolfdog, so you might come across some trouble during it's training since it's not entirely domestic. But once you train it well, and gain it's trust, it'll be fiercely loyal and will do anything to protect you." Jimin hyung explained carefully while Jinhee and I listened attentively.
