Our eyes met.

"Is she..." Before I could complete my sentence, he cut me off.

"As much as I wish to keep you longer, You must hurry home now or else you'll be late for work." He intervened and safely placed his precious photograph back in his wallet.

"How did you..."

"No more questions. Now hurry on, my new granddaughter. You don't want to anger the prince."  He held his expression, not an emotion in sight. There was something different about him, he did not look like just any ordinary old man. His gaze was scary at times, like he could command any man to bend to his rules and at this moment he looked as if he was suppressing himself.   'It could  be anger? Confusion? Happiness?'.  I brushed my thoughts aside as I waved him goodbye and ran all the way towards my apartment; For I only have less than an hour left to get dressed and ready for the day.

Back in my apartment Rebecca is sitting at the dining table eating toast with margarine spread. She calls me to join her once she sees me standing at the doorway but I refuse which perks her interest.

"Let me guess? Because of Robert!?"  She raises her eyebrows at me while grinning from ear to ear but as if remembering something her expression turns dark.

"Becca? What's wrong!?"  I ask; worried. She shakes her head and laughs uncomfortably, denying my words. This was very unlike her which was concerning but I didn't press further; this girl did have a lot on her plate. After all she is an aspiring fashion designer.  "Alright, you know you can talk to me if there's anything bothering you right?" I tell her and she looks at me, a slight smile.   "And...I may not be able to solve it but I will try my best because I don't ever remember being fashion forward."  I add, trying to lighten the mood and it worked because she seemed to be comforted enough.

"Okay, okay! Now go get ready. Robert will be here soon." She reminded me and I left to go get dressed for the day, which was a lot of effort because embarrassing 'The Prince Elijah'  was not in my to do list today.

At exactly 8:30am red Bentley pulled up in my driveway. I was standing outside the door wearing a pink beige skirt, a blazer on top and a black top underneath. I accessorised myself with a light makeup, simple gold necklace, earrings, bracelet and a thin gold watch. I put my hair up in a low messy bun and wore a black heel to complete the look; this time I managed to wear my outfit from all the known luxury brands. With Rebecca's approval I myself felt confident to stand next to him.

Robert hopped out of the drivers seat and held the back door open.  "Good Morning Miss Hayley."  He spoke, lingering his gaze at me for a little longer than he usually would.

"To you too." I reply but stop midway after noticing another figure inside.

He turned and our eyes met; And for a second the world became a blur, like it was only the two of us who existed. "Come on in Hayley." He spoke once he realised my legs weren't moving on their own. He looked amused. 'Ugh! What is wrong with me!'  I felt flustered and quickly hopped in.

"I didn't think you were coming to pick me up as-well."  I speak after we all settle down inside the car.

"Let's just say; I'm not ready to completely hand over my personal driver to you." He replied and sat next to me like everything made complete sense.

"No...That's not what I mean, yesterday you said.." I start but he cuts me off mid sentence.

"I forgot to mention, 'We'." He chuckles a little which prompts even Mr. Robert to turn around and look at him, surprised to see his boss in such a playful mood this morning. "Drive." He ordered Mr. Robert after noticing the two of us were staring at him; Speechlessly.

The rest of the way to work both Prince Elijah and Mr. Robert briefs me on today's plans and my tasks. I listen while making small notes on my notepad. Internally glad I had it on me which turned out to be quite handy. Today was the day where I would be finally getting my own work desk close to his other staff on the top floor. Since Robert would be there with him I wasn't required to accompany him 24/7 and maybe that wasn't such a bad idea. It was also a good opportunity for me to meet new people and possibly some good friends. However, on the back of my mind there was something that kept bugging me when they mentioned Mr Gonzalez will be coming over to the company today. It was the way he looked at me last night, he had that curious gaze and wanted to say something but was stopped by Prince Elijah. There was certainly a tension between the two, even if he did look trustworthy with an immaculate background, I should be careful around him. He must be someone powerful if he has such collaboration with not just any prince, but the crown Prince. 'Ok, Forget about him for now and focus on your task at hand.' I told myself internally and mentally prepared myself for the day.

We soon arrived inside the building, once again welcomed by his staff. All looking their best, I haven't been working here that long to get used to this yet but this felt less intimidating. Prince Elijah gave Mr Robert a nod and looked at me before walking off to his office followed by all his awaiting staff. "Follow me." Mr. Robert turned towards me and led the way to the opposite direction. We entered the lift and landed on floor 30, I quietly followed behind him and listened to him explain my roles for the day. "I've already asked one of the staff to set up your workplace for you so you don't need to worry."  He says after we reach the area full of desks and computers. Already most spaces were filled with people diligently typing away.

"Hi, you must be Hayley. I'm Yuwen but you can call me Mundy."

A girl comes up in front of me and offers her hand, she was dressed in a baby pink top and black skirt. She looked sweet, while she smiled at me. Her hair was silky black and mid length.

I shake her hand.  "It's nice to meet you, Mundy."
