Too Fierce

"You said so yourself that you can take anyone, right?" I asked.

"That's correct."

"How about you ask someone else to be your date, I mean you are Prince Elijah. I'm sure you won't have any problem finding someone…" I casually replied back hoping for him to change his mind. However he had something else in mind.

"And why would I want to do that?" He lifted his left eyebrow and stared straight at me; his voice sounding a bit offended.

I had honestly not planned to sound like I was accusing him of not being able to find a date but I was worried somehow maybe he thought that was my intention.

"I think it's best that I don't embarrass you..." I responded quietly; mixed with my nervous laughter.

"Fine!" He sighed.

"If that's the case…I'll make it easier for you."

"Ye...as..."

"It's either you or you find me an appropriate date by next week! How about it?" He spoke with a slight smirk on his face, it was a look that said he knew I would lose this round.

He's so demanding! Too Fierce.

However, he hadn't met the real me yet and I was planning to surprise him with a perfect date. I internally prepared a list of names in my head but I also had to be careful to avoid any and all rumours. I absolutely couldn't choose anyone who was surrounded by any scandals or someone who was too popular and could later be used to link back to Prince Elijah. I quickly removed some names off my head. 'I'll just go home and think it over.' I made a mental note and accepted his challenge.

We shook hands to that; both of us with our own hidden intent. I knew we were both at this very moment convinced that we would win but of course each of us had different outcomes in mind. I found myself grinning from ear to ear just thinking about it.

The day finished smoothly; with the help of Prince Elijah and Mr Robert I was more comfortable in my work life. Mr Robert offered to look through my proposal which I was more than happy to oblige and made some changes as he saw fit. He was extremely detailed and would pick up any errors in an instant. No wonder he was Prince Elijah's most trusted aide, one would easily trust him with their life. Well...if such a situation arose.

When I finally had the opportunity to be alone with Mr Robert, I asked him whether Prince Elijah had any women he was close with. However, he looked uncomfortable and avoided answering me. Well, I guess it makes sense. He would rather Prince Elijah than me so I guess I will have to figure this out on my own. On the contrary, there was really no harm in helping me.

"There's no woman I can think of…" He had replied. It seemed extremely unlikely to me that that really was the case. I had imagined him to be surrounded but I guess stricter rules apply to the one next in line.

* Robert and Prince Elijah *

"You seem to be in a bad mood." Robert laughed quietly beside him while Prince Elijah rolled his eyes; not saying a word in reply.

"You know she asked me if you had someone special."

'SCREEEECH!' The car suddenly screeched to a halt in the middle of the road.

"And...What did you tell her?" He turned to face him with his stoney expression.

"Calm Down Your Highness. You look like you are on a murder mission instead." Robert quickly spoke. Terrified with the sudden halt. This Prince really frightened him; especially when it came to Hayley. He would lose all senses when it came to her but act like nothing mattered to him when faced with her. Robert wasn't sure what his Boss was thinking and even if he wanted to he wouldn't be able to figure it out anyway. No matter how capable he may be.

"The roads are empty." was all Prince Elijah said as he waited for his answer.

"I told her there is no such woman present in your life."

"Ok." Prince Elijah responded and started driving once again to their destination.

They soon arrived outside the sumptuous fashion studio. It was modern with a touch of old sin - city vintage feel. 'Vivienne Rose' flashed across the top in bold and the window displayed the all new glamorous gowns cladded on the equally eye - catching mannequin.

Robert felt distorted; the distance between Prince Elijah and Prince Kole was stretching further and further apart. The extreme competition between 'Heavenly Elegance' and 'Vivienne Rose' was well known. Since this year's prestigious fashion awards were bagged by 'Heavenly Elegance' one after another; the two companies landed themselves in an even graver situation. The untold conflict was now head on and it seemed Prince Elijah had made his choice. Robert quietly shook his head and followed behind Prince Elijah. To him whatever his boss chose; that would most certainly be the best choice. No matter which relationship got strained as he learned long ago to never go against his boss's wish.

To the public it may seem like a trivial matter but everything had consequences and Prince Elijah would always plan ten folds before making a move. It didn't matter how minor the affair may be.

A woman embellished in chic attire with complementary diamond jewelries strolled elegantly towards the two men. Her charismatic aura would be missed by none and if one questioned the essence of being a woman; they would point at her and claim their answer. Her dark raven hair had been neatly tied back in a sophisticated bun and her hips swayed side by side. It gave an impression of an hourglass figure. When one came close to her they'd forget to close their mouth and they most likely would not have realized that they were gawking.
