I woke up on a regular morning, nothing special about today... My mother walked into my bedroom as I threw the covers of of me.
"Another day of school, right Miles? You should have been up a hour ago."
"Eh..."
"Well hurry up if you want me to take you."
I nodded and quickly got dressed for school, I geuss going to school could be interesting today. By high school you end up having class with the same ten people, the rumor is that there's supposed to be a new student but no one knows for shure.
On the drive to the school, while everyone else scroles through facebook, I would rather stare out the window, it's not like you can scrole through facebook when you're the one driving. I always like to watch the cars and buses go by, although there was a extra vehicle today, it looked like it was from millitary. I couldn't tell exactly what it was, but it was moving about the same speed as us. I was speechless, but my mom was quite the opposit.
"What the hell is that supposed to be, I hope there's nothing wrong..."
My first thought was some sort of prison transfer, but what I don't understand is why it's going the same directon as us... The closest prison is behind us, and this thing clearly isn't from this city. We stopped at a red light, while we were sitting still I moved to the other side of the car, and just ignored it.
later in class, as the teacher started to blabber on about stuff we already know, he was interupted when three people walked into the room. Everyone was shocked, some were even scarred. Two were adult men who were armed with guns, it was strange to see weapons in school, inbetween them was a girl who looked to be about the same age as the rest of us. (17 to 18 years old) The two men looked hevily armed, almost as if they were ready to go to war. The girl had an orange jump suit on, along with handcuffs and a dirty white mask that covered her entire face exept her right eye.
The men gazed across the room and explained what was going on.
"Listen up! From now on we will be escorting Sylvia here every morning. Being as she needs education, but juvie can't hold her. We will be keeping a close eye on her and anyone who interacts with her."
Eveyone had a slight look of fear in their eye, this girl couldn't be contained, why wouldn't everyone be petrified? Sylvia gave everyone a death stare as she walked by. You couldn't tell from a distance, but her one visible eye was a deep, dark red, kind-of like some horror movie cleche.
I sat in the back of the room, so that if I fell asleep, no one would know. But in order to keep Sylvia away from the others she was set right next to me. When she sat down a cold chill ran up my spine, it was almost like death himself was sitting next to me. Up close I could tell that her mask was stained with splattered blood, and the longer she sat there the more I noticed about her, like scars down her neck and arms, her mask looked like it would keep her from talking, and she was abnormaly calm.
I noticed More about the gaurds too, I could tell they were scarred, both of them were shaking slightly, and they were sweating bullets. Although both seemed to be thurowly into Sylvia... Every once and a while one of the gards would get up close, and you might think at first glance that he was looking at what she was doing, but I quickly noticed he was looking down her shirt. Although, Sylvia didn't seem to mind, matter of fact, every time one of them did this, she would lean back so that they could get a good look at her... Everything...
Later that day at lunch, I skipped the line becaus I wasn't going to eat any way, and I wanted to see if I could find Sylvia in the cafiteria. As I walked in I was hit by what felt like a wall of noise, but it didn't take long to find Sylvia and her gaurds. In the verry back corner Sylvia sat while her gaurds watched her. No one had dared come near her though, so in my bright mind... I decided to go talk to/at her.
I walked up to Sylvia's table, and the gaurds just glared at me, but before I could say anything she couldn't say it fast enough.
"Please do not harass me. Just, leave."
I gave her a look of fake confusion.
"I'm not going to harass you, I just want to know what's up."
She looked at me with such a cold glare, I felt as if my body tempature had dropped.
"This had better not be some prank..."
I could tell she was getting angry, the room grew cold and it was like the gravity had increased. But what really scarred me, was that I wasn't the only one to notice, I wasn't imagining things. The gaurds pointed their weapons at Sylvia, she glanced back at them and the room went back to normal...
"What the fuck just happened?"
"Nothing... Forget about it..."
I wasn't trying to be mean, but I turned away to evaluate what just happened, although before I could Sylvia cut me off.
"Here kid, think fast."
She threw a peice of paper at my head, and of course I didn't catch it... When I picked it up off the ground she looked at me the strangest way, even though her mask covered 3/4 her face, it felt like she was smileing? As I walked away, I read the note to myself.
"these freeks will leav me alone in gim, come to me then."
As I put the note in my pockett, I gave it a second glance. My initial question was why she couldn't spell simple words like freak and gym? But now when I looked at it, it was a whole other language... Just a bunch of lines to me... I geuss I would have to ask about it later...
