as Bill was starting to feel more scared he was worried whether this little thing is dangerous or not

the little bird walked out of the pool as it revealed it's tiny pitch black body slowly while staggering like a baby and chirping towards Bill as it looked at him with it's big eyes

the bird then reached to the front of Bill, it's height barely reached his ankle

it raised it's head and rubbed it against Bill's leg while making some soft chirp sounds like a chick

it was then that Bill got surprised and continued to stare at the little bird as if examining it in more details

he realized that it was glowing in red faintly around it's body

as it continued to rub it's small head against his foot Bill reached to it for a grab

the little bird stared at his approaching hand and backed off a little but it was caught at the end

Bill was looking at it with interest "hello little buddy" while smiling

the little bird wasn't struggling in his hand as he thought it would but laid there comfortably and emitted some soft chirps

"so you are alone no adult here?" Bill speaking to himself while examining the cave

there was a little mountain sitting by the blood pond

Bill approached it and found that it is a mountain of beast's core he heard about it from the cloaked man that a beast core is formed naturally at a point when the beast starts to cultivate the energy from the environment to strengthen it's body

and at some point the beast will have awareness of a normal person when the level of core is high enough

but these beasts that reach this level are incredibly strong and a leader of a big group of magical beasts at the very least

these cores could also make cultivator's cultivate easier when they absorb it's mana and will raise their mana core potential slightly so it is really precious to cultivator's specially high level beast's core

when Bill approached the beast's core to have a look the little bird opened it's eyes and jumped into the cores mountain with excitement and joy

Bill was about to grab it again but noticed something strange

everytime the little bird hold a core in it's little mouth the core shrinks rapidly

"what!" Bill was shocked as he heard the core has a large amount of mana but how was it being transfared to the little bird at this speed and in it's little body?!

the little bird was swimming happily in the cores mountain while eating a core after core

so Bill grabbed it hurriedly as if afraid that it's tiny body wont be able to contain all this energy

he also noticed that the red faint glow around it's body is more bright now after it ate all these cores

"then what shall i do with you little buddy?" Bill was wondering while eyeing the little bird

"lets give you a name first" Bill continued "do you like black feather?" he was talking while the bird was staring at it but it didn't show any reaction

"hmm how about little baby?" still no reaction

Bill continued to think "then flute dancer that is a great name" Bill was excited but contrary to his expectations little bird didn't show any reaction

Bill was deep in thought " that will be difficult"

the bird was chirping excitedly and hopping up and down on his hand as if wanting to play

Bill "not now i am still searching for a name" but as if inspired he said quickly while smiling "how about koky!"

the bird chirped even more as if it liked it's new name

"then it's your name now is koky i found a name for you at last yay! " Bill played with koky untill the night came he then left the cave in a worry as if was worrying that little koky's parents will come at any time

"i will come see you tomorrow koky wait for me alright" he said these words while continuing to walk outside the cave

little koky didn't seem to understand him as it continued to play in the core mountain and around the cave but when it realized that Bill isn't around it chirped everywhere as if searching for him

in the next morning

Bill was cultivating throughout the night to the following morning as to condense the mana core more rapidly

the cloaked man told him that this zone is safe from wild and magical beasts so he was training outside in the breeze unafraid that a beast might ambush him

he was sitting cross legged then he opened his eyes and started yawning and stretching his arms and legs

he was feeling energized from a good night sleeping and training at the same time as his brain was sleeping while his body continued to gather and refine mana energy from his surroundings

he walked toward the jungle searching for a hare or something to eat

after half an hour he returned with three hares in his right hand and some green herbs

he it the bonfire as it continued to rise in height he was skinning the hares

then he picked two of them and put them in a pot full of water and the green herbs he picked earlier

the cloaked man was picking these green herbs and cook them into a soup or cook them with meet saying that it nourishes the muscles and cleanse the blood from wastes

so Bill picked this habit from him and started doing it with the same technique the cloaked man used

when it was done and he started drinking the green soup he realized that it has the same taste as the green medicine soup the cloaked man was giving him every morning after waking up to energize his body

after eating and making sure his stomach is full he went to the cave where koky was

as he approached the cave he heard some low roars inside
