completing a cycle

the voice continued"the light organization is the supreme existence in the light region as it defends against the attacks from various monsters and defend our border against the the dark region as well as maintain the peace all over the region and it also resolve the conflicts between the tribes of all races living inside the light region beside the human race, so it holds the highest authority and is highly respected from all the races"

"but it's entry conditions are strict as it allows only children ranging from 6-10 years and they must have formed the mana core by then or they wont be allowed to enter and their affinity with light magic should be high , you have met all these conditions except for the the core part , i see that your favorite weapon is a spear so i will impart to you a simple technique that will benefit you greatly when practicing with the spear so work hard to reach rank 1 as soon as possible "

the voice died down at the end until it disappeared

when the voice ended it's message Bill took some time to digest the information and organize his thoughts while doing so he discovered the he knew a route towards the light region's most powerful organization that is 'the light keepers' he also saw something in his mind that was like a book glowing in blue light 'basic spear technique'

that astonished him even more as he didn't step out of this forest in his whole life except for one time that he wanted to go outside it as he was very curious about the stories he heard from his mother about the outside world beauty and her adventures

but when he just got out of that cave that he was residing in with his mother he was caught and taught a hard lesson by her

when he thought to this point his determination increased "i will find you and save you mother, i promise!"

he then sat down cross legged and began to practice his breathing technique

he continued doing this until dawn then he woke up from cultivation , ate something then slept this night while in meditation

in the next morning when he woke up , he drank his soup and then began his hard training first he doubled the load he was carrying on his back while running and added some other methods of training he saw his mentor do before when he was around, he even carved a spear from a big tree branch to polish his spear technique, all the physical training would end before the sunset

then after the physical training he would try hard to achieve one complete cycle of mana in his body by following the breathing technique and then he would fall asleep while meditating and gathering mana to revitalise his body to make it brimming with energy

at night this day while Bill is practicing his breathing technique he felt that there are just a few last barriers blocking him from completing the cycle

he smiled and opened his eyes " i'm close i can feel it"

after another two months have passed

there was a deer running in the forest close to the inner region as if something was chasing it but after a while it turned it's head and saw nothing was there so it calmed down and continued to eat grass but a shadow flickered from above a tall tree beside it and spear with sharp end was seen flying toward the deer at a breakneck speed that the deer couldn't dodge in time as the spear hit it's head and then the deer fell to ground dead the last it saw was a small boy with tall hair standing in front of it

it was Bill of course he was chasing the deer earlier from the outer region as the deer ran it was getting close to the inner region

he released a long breath " last week i completed one cycle of mana around my body and has achieved good results with the spear technique , i even feel my body is a little hardened from all that physical training and the mana refining"

"i feel completely different from back then when i faced the wolf now i have confidence in fighting it for a longer period or even harming it greatly!" Bill said while picking his spear

"i didn't see little koky all this time i wonder how is he doing right now or even if he is still in this region"

he felt a sudden sadness as all his beloved were disappearing one after the other from around him, he just stood there looking at the sky for a while

"i have to leave now the smell of blood could attract dangerous beasts as i'm now standing near the border of the inner region" he said while picking up the small deer and walking away

after ten minutes or so his eyes widened from shock as he dodged by jumping forward while discarding the deer's body

there was a sharp object that hit the place he was standing on a moment ago

he realized that it looked like the description his mother told him of this weapon 'a sword'

as it has a metallic body with a hilt that is grabbed from and a pointy sharp edge that was stabbed deep into the ground

all that was deduced in a glance of him as he lifted his head quickly in the direction the 'sword' came from and saw a shadow resembling a human that was jumping up and down while emitting strange sounds on a tree branch near him

the shadow jumped from the tree to the ground , at this instant Bill could see it clearly as he readied his spear instantly and put his body in the defense posture

it was a magical beast that looked like a 'monkey' it had a brown fur and a large mouth with it's canines protruding out of it

it's arms were thick with muscles and it's eyes were black that contained a hint of madness , the good news was that it didn't form it's core just yet but was also close Bill sighed in relief when he discovered that as he knew he had a chance in defeating it

it went to it's sword then picked it up and then ran like crazy towards Bill while raising it's sword threatening to hack it down on his body

Bill was standing there waiting for it to get close

when the beast hacked down the sword Bill instantly dodged to the right by moving his body sideways then he countered with a spear heading towards the stomach of the beast

but the beast was experienced as he deflected the spear with his sword then stabbed forward towards Bill's head but Bill has predicted this move as he dropped to the ground and tried to tackle the beast down with his leg

but when he kicked the beast in his leg to tackle him as he was on the ground he felt as if he has kicked a hard rock

while he was surprised that he couldn't tackle it the beast punched Bill in the face with his clenched fist
