Ape beasts

after the apes confirmed that the moose was dead and let their guard down, a shadow jumped from the tree near them with a spear in it's hand

Bill ambushed one of the apes piercing his chest with his spear at the place where the heart lying

the beast screamed in pain before dropping to the ground dead at the same time that the other ape noticed Bill's presence with surprise it saw a fist in front of it's face as after killing the first ape Bill circulated his mana and punched the other ape quickly without giving it a chance to think or react

the ape took the punch to it's face directly and was sent flying backwards then dropped to the ground unconscious while blood falling from it's nose

Bill just walked towards the first ape corpse, pulled his spear then walked to the unconscious ape and pierced it's head with spear killing it

he then went to the moose and checked it's head for a mana core only to find an incomplete mana core filled with cracks and empty "just as i expected this beast was very close to forming it's core and i think that earlier attack was a kind of magic spell" he said while inspecting the incomplete core

"i think that earlier spell damaged the incomplete core and damaged it's outer shell making it useless to use" he sighed in disappointment but still stored the core in his pocket

he then heard the rustling of trees and their shakes that made tree leaves fall to the ground

"i think that earlier howl from the dying ape was like some kind of alarm that notified the nearby apes of this region that there is an intruder"Bill was deep in thought as well as hesitating whether to advance or to retreat

"i will see their numbers and strength if there are too many or too strong i will escape immediately as i have confidence in my movement technique" just as he has made his decision he saw the approaching enemies climbing down or jumping of the trees

"OWA OWA" the apes were looking everywhere around them to see where that howl came from and when they saw the four dead apes and then Bill they connected the dots and began making angry shouts and roars

Bill was carefully watching them while the grip on his spear tightened, he noticed that the number of apes this time was five, four of them have the same strength as the four apes that were killed and one of them that looked to be the leader of this group has the strength of the ape he killed a month ago

"no he might be even stronger" Bill was extremely careful, he noticed the scars on the ape leader's body and it's firm muscle so making a conclusion that this ape was definitely stronger than the previous one as he also sensed that his aura was more concentrated "why do i feel that this ape looks exactly like the one i killed a month ago?" he had a feeling that the ape leader has a blood bond with the previous ape that he killed

the ape leader was just standing there watching Bill in silence as the apes around it were jumping in anger clearly upset and furious for their dead friends

the leader then noticed the sword on Bill's back and made a surprised face before turning furious and angry then began to roar, when the apes noticed their leader's movement they fell into silence

the leader howled and it's body enlarged before charging at Bill with it's apes subordinates "owa owa! oh!", while Bill stood there waiting their arrival "come on! come on!"

the first to arrive in front of Bill was the leader as he threw a punch, but Bill dodged to the side and thrusted his spear towards an incoming ape that couldn't react in time and has his neck pierced before clenching it and falling to the ground

"that's one!" Bill said before circling around the leader dodging all his attacks in a small diameter then jumped in the air about 2 meters from the ground then pierced the head of another ape

"two!" the ape leader seemed to lose it's mind and charged with all it's strength towards Bill then punched at his face but while the punch is being delivered and Bill is dodging it a small dagger appeared between the toes of the ape leader and it stopped it's punch and surprised Bill with a deadly attack from that dagger as the ape's leader leg was raised with the dagger between it's toes to strike Bill's head

Bill quickly grabbed another ape beside him that was throwing a punch at the same time as he grabbed his arm and turned his body to meet the incoming dagger al of that was in two seconds only as when Bill noticed the dagger he rapidly made that grab towards the other ape

the ape received the dagger attack and as expected the dagger pierced it's body making a massive bloody hole just below it's neck in the thoracic cage

the ape shrieked and put it's arms on the wound while screaming in pain and convulsing then died shortly after

after Bill blocked that dagger strike with luck and fast reaction he increased the distance between the ape leader and himself by retreating backward

he was panting and tired while a little scared"if that attack was delivered successfully i would have been in his place by now" he muttered under his breath while looking at the unlucky ape that was lying dead on the ground

the last ape realized the extreme danger of this battle and fled to the trees while being horrified to save his precious life

the ape leader didn't even bother to look at it's fallen subordinates nor the fleeing ape as he continued to stare furiously at Bill while gnashing it's teeth, it was standing there as a brown glow began to emit from it's body

"This definitely doesn't look good at all!" Bill started to get more serious about this battle
