Leaving the nest.

"Nam!" The fox man went and hugged the fox girl.

"Not now, dad." Nam replied with a red face.

Madara's clone just looked at the scene. The father and daughter duo had a stereotypical 'overprotective father to daughter' conversation. It began with the fox man mentioning Nam being at the initial King ranked level and continued with questioning her about why she left.

Nam didn't answer the questions and opted for evading them.

"Your brother might need some help." The fox man remarked to Madara's clone.

Madara's clone looked towards his main body, his Sharingan activated. He sighed and said, "There's no need. The enemy is a moron."

"What nonsense are you saying? That spirit beast is a cultivator at the peak of the King's rank like me." The fox man looked at Madara's clone weirdly. "Plus, I can sense you both and neither of you is a cultivator, which is strange as non-cultivators cannot ascend from the mortal realm to here."

'Cultivators.' Madara's clone sighed internally. 'Now everything makes sense.'

Madara's clone just looked at the battlefield, giving a silent 'just watch' to the fox man.

What happened next blew everyone's mind away.

A four-armed blue Susanoo (it is a chakra construct that resembles a person), barely-complete (only the upper half and no armor), was summoned by Madara. A light blue sword on each of its hands. The blue Susanoo swung one of its swords towards the kangaroo spirit beast. The spirit beast stood in place to tank the sword's energy going towards him, only to be split in two.

"How?" The fox man asked in disbelief.

Madara's clone answered with, "He was a moron. His strength clearly lied in mobility and attack power. But he decided to rely on his defense, which was his weakest aspect, instead of dodging. This outcome wasn't unexpected. Had he relied on his strengths like any competent fighter, he wouldn't have died so quickly. He even might have put on a challenge and could've escaped once he realized the fight wasn't worth it."

Madara's clone analysis made the father-daughter duo understand why he called the spirit beast a moron. What else could describe someone who underestimated their opponent?

"You and your brother might not be cultivators, but you two must have strong techniques if your brother's demonstration is anything to go by." The fox man stated with awe.

'That might explain how a mortal, not even at the mortal rank of cultivation, could beat a King rank cultivator just a step away from the Emperor rank.' The fox man thought as he saw Madara's main body coming towards them.

Once Madara arrived, his clone handed him the Gumbai and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. The memories Madara received about this being a cultivation world soured his mood.

'From all the places I could have ended up, I end up in one I hate. Perfect.' Madara's last thought was filled with sarcasm.

***

Madara was welcomed into the home of the hybrids with open arms due to ending the battle they found themselves in.

Madara has been in their town, which was the size of a city in his original world before being reborn as an Uchiha, for a few hours now.

He had obtained enough information to conclude that this world was like any generic cultivation story he had read back on Earth. It was disheartening. The few interactions with cultivators proved the theory he had back on Earth.

Cultivators thought that cultivation levels were absolute. Madara compared it to people thinking a high level was an absolute wall in video games. It had influence, but it didn't really matter if one fought against a skilled player.

The same applies to cultivation. If one fought against a skilled cultivator two ranks below one's own, they were going to have a bad time. They might die even.

But there are more circumstances to take into consideration. Like techniques. Just like in the ninja world Madara came from. It doesn't matter much if you have the power and chakra reserves of a tail beast. If your opponent has a strong enough Jutsu they could use with their little chakra reserves, you might die.

He had a small flashback to his fight with Might Guy. He didn't have insane chakra reserves or a strong Jutsus, but his taijutsu combined with his 8 gate technique was enough to almost kill him, the one who had the ten tails at the time.

Madara wasn't even going to go into the things he hated about the world of cultivators. He just hoped the stories he read were just that, stories. He hoped the real cultivation world wasn't filled with a bunch of psychopaths who divided themselves into the 'Rightful sect' and 'Evil sect' which are filled with the same sort of people. The only difference being the way they cultivate.

The 'Rightful sect' cultivate without the need of committing heinous acts while the 'Evil sect' cultivate…well, if they could get stronger by killing their own families and slaughter thousands, they'd do it.

Madara was thinking about this while he sat crossed-legged on top of a building. Although this was just him trying to ignore the father-daughter duo arguing.

"I said no and it's final!" The fox man screamed. "You're not leaving the town. You should know by now how dangerous the world outside is."

"I don't want to expend the rest of my life cage inside this place for fear of being attacked by spirit beasts or captured by humans to be used as a cultivation supplement or worse." Nam, the fox girl, retorted. "That's not a life!"

The two kept on arguing until Madara had enough of it. He used the Flikker technique to quickly move in between the father-daughter duo.

"Enough." Madara used an even tone. Neither loud nor low. "She'll come with me."

Madara's statement didn't register into neither of the two for a while. But once they understood it, they both had different reactions. Nam happily accepted while her father was against it.

Madara made the claim that the safest place she could be while traveling would be by his side. Plus, he pointed out that Nam would just escape again. And at that time she might not be lucky enough to encounter someone like him.

So Nam's father made a proposal. If Madara beats him, he could take Nam with him. Nam was red all over after Madara accepted. So it didn't take long for him to realize it was some sort of women courting ritual that involved defeating the father of the woman you want to get the hand of. Madara didn't care though. He just rolled his eyes and let things play out.

So Nam's father, whose name was never given to Madara, led them towards the training grounds at the back of the house. Madara saw many family paintings along the way. Nam's family was big from what Madara gathered.

Two mothers and twenty younger siblings. If the painting with everyone in the family gathering was to be trusted, that is.

"We're here." Nam's father said as he stood on the other side of the field.

Madara looked around. His habit of surveying the place for traps kicking in.

The place was half the size of a football field. The ground was devoid of grass and had burn marks all over. Madara noticed they were quite recent.

'He must have some fire techniques.' Madara deduced. 'But those burn marks are not black enough to be done by an attack. A distraction? Or do the flames serve some other purpose?'

Madara just smiled and said, "Maybe this will be more fun than I thought."

"Let's begin." Nam's father declared as red marks appeared all over his body.

He charged Madara and sent the first strike, a punch filled with some red energy. Madara smiled and dodged the attack. He didn't know what the red glowing fist would do if he touched it. Better safe than sorry.

Madara continued to dodge, although he could feel heat coming off the red-glowing fist Nam's father was attacking him with. So he guessed it was some sort of fire enhanced attack.

Madara didn't see the need to use his Sharingan. He was still a feared adversary without using it, though. It took a while but he got accustomed to the energy Nam's father was using. He could now feel it with his sensor abilities.

That was when he noticed it.

Nam's father's last attack had more energy built in it than his previous ones. Madara got suspicious of it. The red fist glow intensified within a second and caused an explosion of red fire.

Madara was caught in the middle of dodging, so he could only block the attack and take the full force of it.

Madara wasn't injured as he upped his defense with chakra at the last second. He did notice the red glow his arms and chest area had.

Nam's father changed to range attacks right away. Balls of red fire were launched at Madara right away. Madara dodged them all, but they still made contact with him and exploded.

'Homing mark. I see.' Madara guessed what the red glow he had on him was for.

Madara just smiled and flared his chakra throughout his body. This had the effect of destroying the red marks on him.

But Madara didn't stop there. He let his chakra expand and covered the whole field. However, the only chakra that could be seen was the blue aura around Madara's body.

He used the chakra that filled the place to cast a jutsu without hand signs.

This was Madara's victory. Although no one but Madara knew it.

Nam's father changed his tactic. But it was already too late.

"It's over." Madara stated as he turned around.

"What?" Nam and her father muttered, then Nam's father continued with, "Are you giving up?"

Madara just turned his head around and said, "There's no need to continue this fight. I've already won."

As Madara retreated his jutsu ended. This was a Genjutsu. One casted without the use of the Sharingan. Once Nam and her father were released from it, her father realized that he was restrained by chains.

He was unable to move.

His eyes widened as he understood what happened, 'An illusion. He placed me under an illusion and I didn't notice.'
