Defeat and Retreat

Bang Bang Bang!

Two blur image could be seen to be on constant move as they clash against each other with occasional yelling of the skills that they are using. Then one of the blur image shot out backwards like a shooting star and crash into the back of the crater coughing out a mouthful of blood from the impact. If one was to take a closer look then they would see that it's actually Loi Pei!

In front of Loi Pei at a distance Gao Liang is dress in red scale armor with a vague image of dragon wings behind him along with constant bloody aura oozing out of his body into the air creating an oppressive pressure and holding his spear while walking towards Loi Pei.

Getting up on his feet while blood still dripping from the corner of his mouth Loi Pei thought to himself 'even though I have use all of my strongest skills to their utmost power but I was still injured to this degree. He might even be on equal footing as Yun Lun and the rest of those monster in the other kingdom with this skill!'

'I have been in this state for twenty seconds already….this is a good time to escape given his injuries but if I stay then just a little more and I can take this chance to kill him giving us a better chance of winning this war!'

Gao Liang decided to take his chance and begin to speed up once more as he charge towards Loi Pei to deliver the killing stroke. But before that stroke can reach Loi Pei, a report from one of his soldier made Gao Liang stop in his tracks.

"COMMANDER! THE ENEMY IS BOXING US IN! WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOW OTHERWISE IT WILL BE TO LATE!"

'God damn it!' cursing his luck and gritting his teeth Gao Liang took one last look at Loi Pei before turning back and run out of the crater towards his soldier but he didn't forget to leave Loi Pei a message.

"It have been fun general Loi Pei, my blood haven't boiled like this in a long time! You are the strongest opponent that I have fought so far and a big threat to my Liang clan which I should eliminate right away. However, I will spare your life this time so count your lucky stars for the next time we meet will be your death anniversary!"

Looking at Gao Liang back, Loi Pei just chuckle 'haha, although that may be true but as a warrior that's all I can hope for. Being able to find and fight a stronger opponent even if it means death! What a glorious battle that is! As for your Liang clan…I couldn't care less. It just that as a general I have to follow my king orders.'

Jumping out of the crater Gao Liang immediately find the closet horse and jump on it almost breaking the poor thing legs since he is still under the effect of the skill dragon of destruction as it yell in pain.

Noticing his mistake Gao Liang deactivated his skill right away and begin to pass out his orders "ALL UNIT RETREAT! FOLLOW ME AND BREAK OUT!"

"HOOOO!"

Waving his spear left and right Gao Liang was like the grim reaper on the battlefield clearing a path ahead as he lead his soldier towards the exit. On the way he meet back up with his two trusted aids Hy Liang and Vi Liang along with their unit. Together with Gao Liang at the helm, the thousand spear unit broke out in no time unhindered by the enemy troops.

Only because they reacted quickly to the enemy movements otherwise the entire unit and Gao Liang would have perish regardless of how monstrous Gao Liang fighting power is against tens of thousands of soldiers.

Behind them Loi Pei was watching the whole scene played out as his four general approached him from behind and once they are within five feet from Loi Pei. All four general started to drop on their knees and bowed with a face full of shame.

"Please punish us my lord! We wasn't strong enough to help you and even allow the enemy to injure you!" all four general speak up at the same time as they awaited their judgement from Loi Pei. However, what they didn't see coming was that Loi Pei was actually smiling at them!

Due to the fact that Loi Pei was a member of the royal court besides being the fourth on the heavenly general list. He was never given the chance to fight the other monster from the neighboring countries and only got sent to fight weaker opponents which cause his life to become dull but today he finally meet someone that once again cause his blood to boil in excitement.

He knew that the Liang clan was strong from past experiences and reports but only because of their unity and never because of one single individual. Even when he fought against the Liang clan old lord back then, it didn't give him the satisfaction that he had today by fighting against Gao Liang.

"Why should I punish you lot? That was the best fight in my life! Hahaha, uurrggh!" neglecting the fact that he was seriously injured but still standing due to the adrenaline rush haven't wear off yet Loi Pei look at his four general with a smiling face full of contentment until the backlash finally hit him which distorted his face and cause him to lose balance.

Panicking the four general rush up towards Loi Pei and supported him while showing their concerns "commander!"
