Early life pt.1

Sophia no Longer felt she needed to try. She had spent her whole life trying to live up to everyone's expectations, and now she doesn't care.

From the young age of 8 months, Sophia's parents didn't acknowledge her because she wasnt like her genius of a brother.

They were suppose the be the golden family. Her father was Theodore Alvarez. Supreme commander of the imperial fleet, an extremely respected Male. While her mother was named lydia Alvarez. She was a member of the high council, that governed the whole imperial empire that spanned galaxies. She was a role model for women everywhere especially when she went to council meetings pregnant. It gave women everywhere boosts in confidence to strive for their goals.

Sophia had a brother older by 1 year called Charles, who showed himself to be a gifted and talented child. So her parents had high expectations for Sophia.

After Sophia was born, she was treated like a princess. High profile parties, play dates with the young of the royal family, She had everything a baby could ask for.

But all things never last long.

When Sophia didn't show any talented qualities, her parents started focusing more on her brother than her . Sophia didn't understand but she went along with it.

But it continues to get worse and worse till it was like she didn't exist. Her brother gladly vacuumed the attention leaving none for Sophia.

She didn't start reading at the age of 7 months like her brother. She was a sweet little girl who observed everything around her, but her parent never noticed.

She didn't start talking at the age of 9 months like her brother, but when she was 9 months she didn't nag or cry like her brother did. However that wasn't enough.

She didn't start walking at the age of 1 like her brother, but she had a abnormally high sense of awareness and curiosity. they never noticed.

She didn't speak 5 different languages fluently at the age of 2 like her brother. But she was a great problem-solver, capable of comprehending things above her age. Her parents never noticed that as well .

Sophia had spent the early years of life feeling neglected. Not knowing what love was, so she kept looking for it constantly. She hanged around her parents more, She made them toys which she thought they would of liked. But they saw it differently.

Sophia's Father perceived it as jealousy for her brother and did not want him corrupted by bad emotions, so he decreased the time they spent together till it seemed to Charles that he never had a little sister to begin with.

Sophia found companionship in the younger maids. They were super kind to Sophia and she made friends with them. It allowed them to that there was more to Sophia that meets the eyes. It did raise a question in all the maids mind. Why was that her parents didn't notice??

But it wasn't their place to question their employers. So they carried on their day to day tasks while treating Sophia how she should be.

As Sophia grew up, she learned to accept it and be thankful that she wasn't thrown out or given away. But she had hidden resentment towards her parents, she thought maybe if she was given away then a different family could love her, care for her, acknowledge her existence.

Theodore and Lydia, let Sophia got to school 2 years later than she normally would have. She didn't know why but she was glad that she wasn't trapped in the house any longer.

So Sophia started her education at a public school unlike her brother who went arcades, the most prestigious and renown academy for the gifted across the uempire. Sophia was left out on social interactions with others cause they thought she was arrogant and rude, but she just didn't know how to talk to them.

Academically, Sophia only knew how to read and write, so when she started year 2, she knew nothing. As a result of it, teachers thought that she was arrogant as well, because she would always answer "I don't know." They never knew that she actually meant it.

Sophia would spend her free time and lunches in the library on the holo tablets. because she didn't like the fact that she didn't understand whstbwsd taught.

gradually over the year, Sophia was able to catch up in classes and even excell. Thanks to her near perfect memory and Instant recall. Soon Sophia was getting full Marks in papers. In those classes Sophia would often read ahead unless something interesting was being taught.

What she didn't know was that her progress was being monitored.

One day, Dophia was in a class about STEM. STEM was a new organisation that sought out to help women or all races get better treatment.

The lesson was being taught by an old man, with grey hairs, called Marcus, but always asks to be called father Marcus because he was a believer in the old human Catholicism.

He was a kind, and gentle old man who carried himself like a young one. He would always stand up straight and try to set an example by saying "If an old man like me doesn't need to slump and be lazy, why are you slouching?."

For the while day till that lesson, Sophia felt like something bad was going to happen. It was like a siz th sense for her that always seemesto get her out of bad situations.

Sophia a the back of the classroom, in her usual seat, and zoned out. Everything else no longer seemed relevant to her when she was in that dream-like state.

"Sophia" "Sophia" a voice took her out of her musings. Sophia looked up to see the eyes of the only man who ever showed any kind of love. Father Marcus asked her to give a summary of the humans journey to intergalactic supremacy from the years 2300s.

As Sophia was explaining, she felt like she was losing control of her own body. It was as her body house another being. "Humans had arrogance engrained so deep in their bones that they wouldnt listen to each others ideologies. This led to humanity splitting itself into factions with the imperials led by the von pierce family, who we regard as the royal family and Republicans led by president Nicolas. The two factions are the strongest with the neutral being a close second but it I'd a well-known public secret that the neutral faction Is the strongest . which would explain why the Imperials and Republicans are too scared to do anything to them."

Sophia didn't know where that came from, and she was terrified, she had come close to committing treason. She understood that she needs to get her body under control

*imagine futuristic door opening sound (kinda like Darth Vader breathing)*

The sound of the door opening interrupted her thoughts, as two large men strutted into the classroom with purpose. They hid their faces behind masks while their body was covered by cloaks that clipped at the side. One had a purple mask that resembled an olden western dragon. He had a presence that demanded silence and respect. The other had a white mask, the mask had eye slots carved out and that was it. The white mask man seemed like he was a grunt, cannon fodder, bottom of the bottom. Their had a beastly aura around them that caused the class to enter an eerie silence.

Father Marcus froze as he comprehended the severity of the situation. He knew those men had something to do with Sophia's outburst, it wasn't in her to talk more than absolutely needed. He was powerless, there was nothing that he could do or he would die, so he remained silent.

"Father Marcus," the cloacked figure with the dragon mask said in a mocking tone. " It seems to root that you don't have anything under control."

He turned to Sophia," Sophia christina Alveraz. The daughter to Theodore Alvarez, hero of the empire , supreme commander of the imperial fleet." Remarked the man with such venom and spite that the class started to frost. "We don't have much time." That was all he said, for the grunt to grab Sophia by the hair and drag her with them.

"Oww, ow ow ow. Stop please, it hurts," Sophia pleaded and begged but it fell on empty ears. so she resorted the threats. "My father will kill you when he finds out what your doing, let me go and I will spare you a painful death."

"Don't worry about that sweetheart," Dragon mask laughed. "Your father should already know by now and should be on his way, to save you"

Sophia face was shocked, she didn't think would come for her, he did not want her ' He's probably ain't here for me' Sophia thought. ' He would want me to disappear, so I don't corrupt his precious son.'

"Sweetheart your father loves you more than the other Alvarez " He cackled, cocking his head back like a psycho. "night night"

Those were the last words that she heard before the lights wenr out.

Over the next 5 years, Sophia would wake up with her body in absolute agony. her head was being split in to and they were ripping her limbs off and putting back on, only to do it again. They all did all kinds of experiments to test the effictiveness of the super serum.

She would be brutally beaten up to increase her pain tolerence. Her torturer took pleasure in hearing her sceram and beg but it would only spur him on even more. To protect herself, Sophia had to learn and copy the instructor to decerase the amount of beatings she received. Everytime she able to, she would beat the instructor to death, but they would replace the last one with an even better one. Creating a constant cycle of beatings and death.

While the programme was brutal it did benefit her. 3 months in to the programme she noticed that her reflexes were stronger and kept improving after every beating. Moreover, Sophia's reflexes werem.t the only thing that improved. She faster, more stronger, more flexible, more resilient to pain, she got tired less and less till she never seemed out of breath, she healed faster to the point of cuts and bruising disappearing in seconds.

Because of the brutal programme, Sophia was emotionless. They made sure any kinds of emotions, were crushed from her person. And she made sure that they never knew the full extent of her power.

If they did know, then she would have been moved to a more secure facility.

After those 5 years. Sophia had changed at to an emotionlesss hitman. She was taught everything she needed to know. from basic maths and literacy to quantum mechanics and warp theory. She could confidantly say that she knew how to take apart a space ship bu herself, if she ever felt like it.

The scientist would always whisper to each other that she was ready as if she couldn't hear them.

What it was she was ready for, she didn't know but she did know that it would be difficult for regualar humans. Lucky for her, she wasn't regular and with her hidden capabilities, she felt invincible.

They sent her on her first mission, which was to murder a business man called John Walter, a member of the intergalactic trade union. He was a peace activist. War brought in alot of money in, so his opinion was frowned upon among the members with more business centric minds.

Saying her mission went brilliantly would be an understatement. She had exceeded expectations and astonished her employers along with Root. From her first operation, she had not only killed her target underdectably but had also left irrefutable evidence that the framed person had done it. How she did it, they would never know as Sophia had stopped talking together 2 years into the training.

They thought that she was brainwashed and allowed her more freedom, that she used to the full extent. During her stay, she knew where most things were. So she was planning an escape using the test subjects as decoys to escape the facility. However she knew that she wasn't strong enough. with people like the dragon masked man who was apart of the higher echelon of Root. The worst thing about it was that there was 1000s of others like him.

Sophia was an extremely intelligent person and when puberty hit early for her, she realised she had to have the strength to protect herself.
