Arc 2.15 Zu Tian

Zu Tian laughed at the madman being held captive by his men.

Chen Mo who was supposed to be the most powerful ML who at all times had a solution to every problem looked like a rabid dog in front of him.

He could not get any connection with the Chen Mo who was supposed to be the ML who had conquered every land and united the world with the red-eyed dog in front of him.

"Zu Tian!!"

"What insolence! How dare a lowly ant call the Emperor by his given name?! You shall be beheaded!"

General Shen who was standing beside Zu Tian draw his blade but was stopped by Zu Tian.

"General Shen, you are as hot-headed as always. Zhen has told you to curb your temperament so as to not make any rash decisions." Zu Tian berated with a smile.

Upon hearing Zu Tian's words, General Shen glared at Chen Mo before withdrawing his sword back.

"Your Majesty, this general has made a mistake. This general asks your majesty to punish me. But, as your official, I cannot just watch and let this villain disgrace your majesty."

"Enough General Shen, Zhen has heard you. Anyway, this little prince who had been rampant like a rabid dog is no threat to Zhen. Just let him run his mouth, he won't last long in this world anyway."

Zu Tian just shrugged his shoulders and look at the ML baring his fangs at him. Honestly, looking at the naughty puppy in front of him, he felt no threat at all.

He thought that he would be challenged in this world seeing how high leveled the world is but after watching the two adulterous leads for some time he only had one word for them, dead.

"Dog emperor, do you think that by my death you will be left unscathed? Peh! Even if I die today, you will die with me. With my death, the other nations that you had long suppressed shall rise up against you! With I, Chen Mo's death, millions of Chen Mo shall rise!" Chen Mo bark.

"You?!" General Shen looked as if he was about to faint as he angrily pointed his finger at Chen Mo.

Chen Mo glared viciously at Zu Tian as if by doing so he could kill him.

He looked as if he was not afraid to die. He kneeled in front of Zu Tian as arrogantly as he had before his fall, he looked as if he was standing above him not kneeling in a shameful way.

As what you expected from a Male Lead, even faced with death he shall face it coolly.

But such a waste, the ML halo was wasted in him.

'With his death, thousands of Chen Mo shall rise! What do you expect from the ML? Even though he is already dying he is still cool! Such a shame that I won't be able to see millions of adulterous shameless hooligan Chen Mo's rise in this dynasty or else I may put them all to death! What a hassle that would be! "Ho! What great words!" Zu Tian praises after thinking thoughtfully.

"Dog Emperor, feeling afraid now?" Chen Mo smirked.

Zu Tian laughed.

"Zhen dare not. Dare not."

"But you made Zhen remember something, you're a great notepad reminder."

"Notepad reminder?" General Shen looked at Zu Tian puzzled.

He had never heard the word "notepad reminder" before. But anyway, whatever his majesty says is always excellent and profound.

He could not understand it because he was not as great as his majesty, he will just leave it as it is.

"Since you reminded Zhen, Zhen shall grant you company on your way to King Yama so that you won't feel lonely when you go down there."

Chen Mo looked at Zu Tian puzzled not understanding what he wanted to say, he only got what he was saying when he saw the person who just came in.

"Ah!"

A woman in a brocade robe was pushed in an inelegant manner down the floor. The beauty who did not understand what was going on looked at the Emperor with unshed tears and wronged look.

"Your Majesty...."

"Lian'er."

Zu Tian looked at Qi LianLian with a face full of tenderness but his eyes were cold as the Pacific and vicious than ever.

If there was a devil on earth, Zu Tian is the one.

Qi LianLian who saw his tender face was filled with warmth, her heart which was filled with nervousness was instantly relieved.

She tried to crawl towards Zu Tian only to be kicked down by General Shen.

"Yah!"

General Shen who knew that the tender look on Zu Tian's face was exactly the opposite of his thoughts, felt that it would be better to kick her down than to have an incomplete corpse if she even touch Zu Tian with her filthy hands.

Qi LianLian who was kicked down spat out blood. She looked at General Shen with eyes filled with hate and then at Zu Tian with sorrowful pleading eyes.

"Your Majesty, Lian'er is wronged."

Qi LianLian quickly kowtowed and did not do rash things or let her guilty emotions show.

Seeing Chen Mo beside her with a beaten look, she guessed a little of the story.

'This trash dare to bring me down with him?! I won't let him!'

"My dear concubine, why are you saying you are wronged?"

"This concubine, this concubine had nothing to do with this man!"

Qi LianLian looked at Chen Mo with hate and then at Zu Tian with eyes filled with tenderness and love.

"Oh? Can dear concubine explain?"

"This concubine had been threatened by this man that if I don't do as he says, he will kill my family!" Qi LianLian shed tears of indignation and grief.

"What insolence! How could he dare threaten my most favored concubine!" Zu Tian angrily said though he was smiling in glee inside.

Never would he have thought that Qi LianLian would push all the blame on Chen Mo even without him saying a thing.

But no matter what she says, her fate of dying still won't change.

'This is interesting.'

"Hahaha! You stupid woman, you dare say that I have threatened you?"

Chen Mo laughed like a maniac and stared Qi LianLian down like a fish on a chopping board.

"Your Majesty, your concubine is not lying. Please help your concubine gain justice! Kill this man for me!"

"You?!"

Chen Mo felt like exploding. His eyes were as red as cherry and as wide as saucers. He could not believe that the woman who once promised to love him for eternity was wishing he could die as quickly as possible.

He really saw wrongly and trusted this vicious serpent!

Zu Tian looked at Qi LianLian in distress, he was really distressed for the ML for finding such a FL. They were really a match made in heaven.

"My dear concubine, you were really wrong. Come, General Shen, hear my decree."

Hearing Zu Tian, Qi LianLian almost jump in glee.

She felt like flying thinking that she had been proven innocent and to be absolved of her crimes but what she didn't know, the higher she could fly the harder she would fall.

General Shen kneeled down and showed respect to the sovereign.

"Qi LianLian is to be sentenced to death together with Prince Chen tomorrow morning by decapitation."

"What?!"

"Qi LianLian had an illicit affair with Prince Chen and tried to poison the Emperor with the urging of Prince Chen to usurp the throne."

"I'm wronged your Majesty!"

"The Bai family had allied themselves with the rebels and had the intention to rebel against the Emperor."

"Your Majesty!"

"The head of the Bai family shall be beheaded along with the Elders of the Bai family."

"No! Your Majesty!"

"The rest of the Bai's, the younger generation shall be spared given the contributions of the Bai ancestors to the empire. They shall be stripped of their positions, richness, and lands, and be banished to the borders where they will fend for themselves. Receive the decree!"

"I, General Shen, had received the Emperor's decree."

Qi LianLian fell on her knees, her eyes dull, it would be a lie if she said that she didn't regret it.

If she only knew that she will come to this one day and even implicate her family, she would have not helped Chen Mo and had an affair with him.

She should have been content being the favored concubine of the Emperor.

At least, she would have lived with endless splendor and power being the favored concubine.

Now, she can only regret it till her deathbed.

She should have not fallen for the wrong man only to bring disaster to her in the end.

'I regret it!' Qi LianLian roared to the heavens.

But it is already too late to regret.
