Tomb Raiding.

Ever heard of tomb raiding before?

Yes, exactly as you thought. This world is a world where some people compete in tomb raiding or had been in the business for years.

In the tomb-raiding world, there are three families that are very well-known in this trade. They are the Xiao Family, the Fei Family, and most of all the Chen Family.

For ten generations, these three families had been competing to see who is the best in tomb raiding skills and everything about tomb raiding.

This competition could be traced back to the first generation, their ancestors.

Despite this competition, these three families are close friends and also tied via marriage in each generation so they couldn't really cut off their relationship together.

In the current generation, there are already promising youths that had shown great skills in tomb raiding.

The youths include Fei Chen of the Fei family, Chen Qiao of the Chen family, and Leng MianMian of the Leng Family.

Young Master Fei or Fei Chen of the Fei Family is the pride of the family for being successful in their family business, tomb raiding.

Despite his young age, Fei Chen had shown great talent and knowledge in tomb raiding that help them overcome difficulties after difficulties in tomb raiding.

In short, Fei Chen is so damn lucky that they consider him their lucky star!

On the other hand, Chen Qiao who was the Chen Family's only successor and pride was also a successful tomb raider who always place first in every tomb-raiding event the three families always hosted.

Chen Qiao was a smart strong man, wise and resourceful, the only downside of him was being too cold and indifferent.

Even so, he is one of the candidates in the current generation to finally end the ten-generation competition of the three families to see who is the greatest and most skillful tomb raider of time among all of them.

Lastly, Leng MianMian of the Leng family comes into the picture.

A start-up tomb raider family tracing up to three generations.

Thinking that the family was just new and inexperienced, the other families just turned their eyes over and throw the small family to the back of their minds.

But after a few years, the Leng Family unexpectedly gained fame and was quickly catching up to the other families in status and fame in the tomb-raiding world after Leng MianMian uncovered a hidden tomb of a General who had served the wise king of **** and brought out a lot of artifacts.

With the uncovered artifacts, she even brought out to light a glorious era of Kings and Empires that shook the world.

This event only spread the Leng Family's name far and wide, most of all her name, Leng MianMian.

As for Xiao Yao, let's just say, he is too lazy to become the best of the best of the tomb raiders.

Why raid a tomb if you can do business?

Raiding a tomb is so dangerous, he would rather follow his old uncle and do business.

At least, it is safer that way.

He even makes a lot of money without stress and always risking his life for some "pocket change".

Say, does he know how much money one artifact costs?

"So young master Chen, what's your plan?"

Xiao Yao raised his eyebrow after listening to Chen Qiao's plan.

"Can you think of anything, then?" Chen Qiao scold back at Xiao Yao who just smiled at him.

"Of course!"

Xiao Yao smiled and leaned on the wall behind them closing his eyes.

"Sleep and wait for them to drag us around."

Hearing what he said, the other three were left speechless and looked at him as if he was an idiot.

"What an idiot."

"Just leave him be. He is too cowardly anyway."

"......." Being called an idiot, Xiao Yao did not even squeak a bit and continued to close his eyes.

"Chen Qiao, don't listen to him. I think your plan sounds good. When should we do it?" Fei Chen said.

Chen Qiao looked at Fei Chen and back to Xiao Yao.

Earlier, when he told them his plan, he was confident that it will work.

But, after listening to Xiao Yao, he believes that the others words are not that simple.

Though he looked as if he was just joking, Chen Qiao could feel that his words carried more meaning.

Thinking about it, his plan had holes. Looking at both Fei Chen and Leng MianMian, Chen Qiao is now sure that his plan would not work.

Fei Chen is too rash and might forget to think before he acts. Their plan needs brains not brawns!

Leng MianMian on the other hand is too fragile and had low stamina. He really wondered how she became a tomb raider and survive every raid she goes to.

And Xiao Yao.....

Looking at the sleeping man, Chen Qiao does not even want to know how a young master like him is able to keep up with them.

In short, almost all of the three of them are just a burden!

"Brother Chen?" Leng MianMian looked at Chen Qiao who seemed to have given up on his life.

"Chen Qiao, are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

"So, should we do it?"

Chen Qiao looked at Fei Chen and sighed which somehow puzzled Fei Chen.

"Nah. Let's just sleep and wait for them to ask what they want from us. Let's conserve our energy for later."

With that, Chen Qiao closed his eyes and sleep.

"What's up with Brother Chen?" Leng MianMian asked confused by his behavior.

"Isn't that just the same as what Xiao Yao said?"

Fei Chen who was left to think for himself felt that he had been hit hard and was baffled why they were giving up just like that.

Why do they have to do just as Xiao Yao said?

"Brother Fei, what should we do?"

Not getting her answer, Leng MianMian turned her attention to Fei Chen who upon seeing her almost shedding tears quickly comforted her.

"Don't worry, MianMian. Everything will be alright, okay?"

Fei Chen gently pat Leng MianMian's back wanting to ease the woman's fear and nervousness.

He totally understands how she must be feeling right now. She must be pretty scared and frightened after today's event.

As a man, he will definitely protect her!

"Shhh.... Don't worry. I will protect you. I will not let anything bad happen to you even if I need to risk my life."

"Brother Fei, your so kind."

"Idiot."

Xiao Yao who was supposed to be sleeping quietly whispered his sincere words to the man before turning to the side to sleep.

But before closing his eyes, a pair of eyes clashed with his.

Smilingly, he mouthed to the other man.
