Eli's POV
I wore a black turtleneck with black pants, shoes and gloves as well. I extended the neck of my turtleneck all the way to my lips to cover half of my face. On top was a leather jacket with a hoodie. The point of all the extra clothing was to keep the voice modulator around my neck fixed and the mic near my lips in place.
My bedroom was on the first floor with a balcony. I climbed over the ledge to stand on the other side of the railing with barely enough space for my feet. I lowered myself and eventually let my feet hang in the air one by one. Now, I was actually hanging off of the balcony holding onto the bottom part of the grills. There was a couple feet between my feet and the ground so I braced myself and let go.
Having complete access to security cameras makes avoiding them much easier. I had the live feed of each camera on the property connected to my phone and I didn't even have to use a hacker. Getting to Tatiana, incognito, took a lot of time but this was necessary.
I reached the doctor's quarters and the house had a perimeter wall around it that had its own front gate that was locked. I adjusted the camera at the gate to rotate towards the path in front of the house for the two minutes it took me to pick the lock. I turned the camera to focus on the gate again once I was inside but I set it so it would keep turning every couple of minutes. This was to avoid raising suspicion when the cameras are checked tomorrow.
Once inside the boundaries of the house, I weeded my way through the plant life in the doctor's garden to get to his backyard. Tatiana's bedroom window was on this side. But I was going to break in through their living room because I didn't want the sleeping beauty to wake up when I enter her room. I checked if there was anyone in the living by pointing my torch in through the dark. The most they could do was run and trip the alarm and I would have enough time to run away.
There were huge casement windows in the bedroom which would be easier to get in through but they were obviously locked to prevent break ins. The living room had sliding door windows with normal locks and a few extra measures. But I knew they only locked the window which I could open with a pry bar. The thing about safety is that most people took it for granted if they had been safe for a long while. Hence, even if there were extra measures, the people in the house weren't expecting a break in so they didn't engage the extra security measures on their living room windows.
Once I was in, it was a piece of cake to pick Tatiana's bed room lock and then lock it again once I was in. I walked closer to her bed and saw her sleeping face. I almost puked at how innocent she looked with those soulless eyes closed. She has to be as dark as any of us to threaten my three year old boy. What right does she have to leave Miraj with such a bullshit excuse? I am pretty happy she left but it also sounded like she was looking down on our criminal life.
It would be so easy to just slit her throat open.
