Prologue Part 2

At midnight a cloaked figure entered the only restaurant opened at this late hour inside the town, creating a blur of blue and black from the color of his clothes.

Pushing through the cloth that hung from the roof entrance, the man entered the ramen shop. Scanning through the scene, there was only one patron eating at this place.

Walking to sit at the only other seat near the man, the customer stopped his arm which was about to take the first bite.

"Why the hell are you here? Can't you just leave me alone anymore?"

"You should know yourself. They saved your life, yet look at yourself eating here peacefully with no care in the world."

"Shouldn't I be allowed to have my own life too?"

Scoffing at the man, he raised his chopsticks to grip the steaming noodles out of the bowl.

The man whose whole body was covered, reached his hand to stop the patron's arm.

A cold touch gripped the customer, making him frown. Annoyed he once again put his arm down, and looked at the unknown man.

"I'm not a saint, but you wouldn't be here without them. Shouldn't you be responsible for their child!?"

Teeth gritting, the man raised his voice to raise the person's attention.

"Ok!- Ok!-"

Reaching into his pocket, a shadow zoomed out, rushing inside the man's robes.

"Isn't that enough? Now get the heck out, and leave me alone!"

Raising his arm once more, his chopsticks grabbed a fist full of noodles with a smile on his face.

The shadowed man surprised at what he received, stood up and lowered his voice towards the target, making it near deathly.

"Are you sure?..."

A breadth of chilly icy air blew into the noodles, making the steam go away, and noodles grow cold.

Eyes twitching, the patron once more lowered his arm to stare at the man. Yelling with his vocal cords, he attacked the man with his voice.

"GET THE HECK OUT! I HAVEN'T FRICKEN ATE FOR DAYS!"

Hearing him, the man stood up to leave. He already got what he came for, and there was no more reason he should keep bothering with this freak.

His body covered by drobes, soon disappeared into the shadows of the alley ways.

The lone customer stared at his bowl that had already grown cold.

'For what it gives me, why the hell should I wish to keep meeting people like you?'

I already owe them a debt worth my life...

Besides, the rewards were never enough compared to the traumas he experienced...
