The First Meeting H4P

"Natilee, should we start now? There are five of us here, there were suppose to be 8. Its a decent turn out for a first meeting." Penelope Dean, the Raven claw Head Girl offered with a smile, trying to organize the event. Natilee rolled her eyes and took the pocket watch out of her breast pocket and opened it. It was only 10 till 6 Pm and on a Saturday no doubt. Perhaps she should have chosen a different night... oh well too late to cry over spilled potion.

"No, We will wait till 6 Pm. I would rather not start early unless everyone is here, we gave out three more invitations. We should give them a chance to arrive." Natilee replied coolly, her tone left no room for negotiation. "So when we meet I want to be in plan cloths. I think too many of our clubs are based on who we were sorted into, not our common ground."

There was confusion but also a look of surprise on the Gryffindor pair in the room. Hermione raised an eyebrow but then smiled softly. "Do you think this would be possible?" Natilee asked, allowing her eyes to catch Hermione's eyes and hold them for a long moment before gliding to the other women in the room. As she finished her words, the door opened. Natilee looked up to see a familiar face walking... more strutting into the room.

Wallace had his cloak tossed over his shoulder like a bad boy's signature coat. His shirt was once again unbuttoned, and the tie was loosened, thought not undone. Natilee couldn't help but frown slightly at him. He smiled a bit apologetically as he slid into the chair right in front of Natilee who sighed deeply. "I'm sorry Nati, I got caught up." He apologizes but that devilish grin just about negated its affect.

"Thank you for being here, Wallace. Now, back to what we were saying, I want this to be a even playing ground so we can work on potions skills together. All of us have our own strengths, I want to have us use those to cover eachother's weaknesses. Professor Snape will be helping us from a distance, since he is too busy to do this one on one with us and there are other students having more issues than ourselves." Natilee pointed out sitting down next to Wallace and smiling at them, trying to make herself seem more like a group rather than as a leader.

"I think that would be a fantastic idea. We should start meeting regularly and maybe meet up in smaller groups when there's a need." Hermione offered with a bit of a smile. Natilee nodded.

"Exactly." Natilee agreed, so glad this was working out better than she had hoped. A part of Natilee's heart felt guilty, like she was manipulating Hermione, but at the same time... she didn't have a choice. If things worked out, she would make it up to her.

"I think you girls are being a bit... optimistic. We are going to have a better chance at getting members if we keep some aspect of House sectors." Cedric diggory pointed out, having been more or less out of the way in the room. Wallace glanced back at him.

"That isn't the point of this club." Natilee tried to correct him. Hermione and Ginny looked at eachother then turned to look to Penelope as if wanting her input.

"True, but we can't ignore how Hogwarts is set up. Houses are the lifeblood of the school." Penelope pointed out and Natilee frowned.

"I don't belive that is true. However, if the group prefers to see it that way we should disband Houses 4 Potions and instead form separate potions clubs. Maybe come up with a potion meet up or competion something we can get house points for." Cedric offered with a shrug. Natilee shook her head.

"The point of this is commradery, sharing a passion for potions. Not a new way of earning house points." Natilee replied calmly and at that Point Wallace yawned.

"Look, why don't we do this, have our Houses 4 Potions crew that meet here once a month. Each represented house can build their own potions club inside their houses, but members are welcome to come here to Houses 4 potions to be part of the collective?" Wallace offered with a bit of a smile. His yawn having earned a glare wich slowly turned to approval as he made his point.

"I like that, Hermione, Cedric, Penelope, and I can act as our house potion heads. We can set dates for larger meetings and maybe make freinds along the way." Natilee offered though thebwords didn't match the Slytherin way, it made sense.

"Sounds wonderful." Hermione agreed, seeing as this was a opportunity for even more academic growth.

"Agreed then. We are now the Houses 4 Potions Collective." Natilee agreed, striking while the spell was fresh.

Everyone seemed to agree and signed their names on the parchment that Natilee provided. everyone seemed rather excited now and settled in to talk. Natilee and Astoria made their way to Ginny and Hermione.

"Thanks so much for coming. If it wasn't for you, Ginny we wouldn't be able to have the Collective." Astroria thanked her politely and Natilee smiled nodding in agreement.

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked raising an eyebrow. she had only agreed to come to the collective out of curiosity and to protect Ginny. Natilee smiled.

"We wanted this group to be a melting pot, a safe haven for all the houses. We couldn't do that wihtout having at least one Gryfindor and if you hadn't come, we would have failed." Astoria explained before Natilee could explain what was going on. The little black haired beauty was Natilee's perfect wing witch.

"Oh? Is that so? I thought it was a decision by the professors?" Hermione asked folding her arms over her chest and sizing Natilee up.

"I can't exactly tell anyone outside our group that it was my idea. I am already bottom of the food chain in Slytherin. You think they are brutal on Gryffindors. Try being a Slytherin who isn't completely pure blood." Natilee replied rolling her eyes at the concept of pure blood. Hermione raised an eyebrow in surprsie.

"What are you?" she asked out of curiosity.

"My mother is a witch, but my dad is a half blood." Natilee explained with a gentle smile. She was completely unashamed by the lie she had to tell everyone. If Miss Granger found out the truth... she would tell Harry. Natilee wasn't sure she even wanted to tell her brother yet... she needed to know how he felt.

"Ahh. Well then, when do we plan to meet again?" Hermione asked curiously and Natilee thought for a moment. She hadn't really had a chance to make the next plan yet. Then a idea sparked.

"Why don't we make it a secret meeting? So I will figure out when and the 4 heads can meet in the library to discuss when our major meetings are. I think that would work?" Natilee offered and The rest seemed to think on this for a moment and nod.

"That sounds fun." Astoria agreed with a brilliant smile, the best part was she meant it.

The RavenClaw Head girl smiled and nodded as well, honestly not caring much, this seemed like it would be interesting. Everyone turned to Cedric who had his head in his hands. Wallace nudged him raising an eyebrow, clearly wanting an answer.

"Yea, sure Okay. I want to see how this train wreck ends." Cedric replied chuckling, figuring there was no reason to disagree at this point. It was clear he was outvoted.

"Fantastic. I will catch everyone in the library as we go. We can pass notes in the "History of Fungi" book in the library." Wallace pointed out with a grin, his eyes focused on Natilee who smiled back.

"Why that book?" Cedric asked rolling his eyes. "I haven't even heard of it."

"Thats the point. It hasn't been checked out in ages." Hermione and Natilee looked at each other in surprise as they spoke at the same time. The girls giggled and with that, a new friendship was born.
