The Cleaner

Nora returned home that evening, exhausted and emotionally drained. Her mother and sister could tell something was wrong, but Nora was too upset to talk about it. She took a long shower, trying to wash away the remnants of the encounter with Vanessa, but the sting of humiliation lingered.

Not long after Venessa came in and started crying, immediately she saw her mother she ran to her and cried the more, mom, I have never been this humiliated in my life. what happened please tell me my child, Helena asked her, just then Mr. Andrew heard the commotion from his room and came out to see his beautiful daughter crying.

Dad its Nora, she humiliated me at the Hotel today when I went to Visit Rick Donald and she intentionally spilled whine on me.

Nora was called into living room by her angry dad. Vanessa was sitting beside him, her face twisted into a mask of innocence.

Rick's expression was stern as he addressed Nora. Vanessa has informed me that you poured wine on her yesterday. Is this true?

Nora's heart sank. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. That's not true, she said, trying to keep her voice steady. Vanessa spilled the wine herself and made me clean it up. She even poured more wine on me.

Vanessa gasped theatrically. I can't believe you're lying, Nora. I was just trying to be nice, and you attacked me! dad, you have to believe me.

Mr. Andrews eyes narrowed as he looked between the two women. Nora, this behavior is unacceptable. I won't condole this kind of conduct next time else you will have to leave my house if i cannot have peace because of you.

Nora felt a wave of panic. I'm telling the truth she muttered, dad Vanessa is lying.

Mr. Adrew sighed, rubbing his temples. This isn't the first time there's been tension between the two of you. I'm going to give you a warning, Nora. If anything like this happens again, I'll have no choice but to let you go.

Nora felt the tears welling up, but she refused to let them fall. She nodded, her throat tight. I understand.

As she left, Vanessa shot her a triumphant smirk. Nora felt defeated, knowing that Vanessa would stop at nothing to make her life miserable. But she also knew she couldn't give up. She had to find a way to protect herself and her family, no matter how difficult it might be.
