Another quidditch match was approaching, Slytherin vs Hufflepuff. The day of the match, the Slytherin table was full of chanting, some students had their faces painted with green. Many were showing their house pride, and the Slytherins, being prideful and ambitious as they are, were very excited for this match.
The Hufflepuffs were known for their quiet and kind nature, but they were not to be underestimated on the field. But it seemed that the Slytherins had no plans of losing.
During breakfast Isabella (and everyone else) could hear Michelle.
"LETS GO SLYTHERIN WE CAN DO THIS!! GO GREEN!!" And other chanting from her. Samuel was dressed up in his uniform, he was a Keeper. Michelle was telling him encouraging things, she seemed more excited for the match than any other player. Samuel just looked a bit nervous. But then again, anyone would be nervous on their first match of the year.
"HEY MICHELLE" A loud voice was suddenly heard.
She turned to look.
Great.
Just Great.
Running towards her, in all yellow, including his entire face, was Gavin. Michelle's smile faded.
"Like my colors?" He said, throwing her a smile.
"I think either you're color blind, or you've lost all your sanity. Whatever's left, that is..." She replied. 'Was this kid's sole purpose in life to annoy her?' She thought. This wasn't the first time Gavin had tried to provoke her.
"Nahhh. I think it's you who's got the wrong colors."
"Oh well, I can't force you to be right." But Gavin wasn't listening.
Even though he was a Gryffindor, he started chanting "H-U-F-F-L-E-P-U-F-F! HUFFLEPUFF!! H-U-F-F-L-E-P-U-F-F! HUFFLEPUFF!! H-U-F-F-L-E-P-U-F-F! HUFFLEPUFF!!"
Michelle tried to cover her ears. But Gavin was quite loud. Samuel (like most people) was just staring at Gavin strangely.
"Gavin!" She yelled but it was no use. "GAVIN!" Still nothing. "GAVIN!!! STOP IT NOW OR I'LL FIND A FLOCK OF DUCKS TO SEND AFTER YOU!" He immediately stopped.
"You wouldn't dare."
"Oh. I. Would." She poked him with her wand in his side with every word. The people around him who knew of Gavin's issue, were trying not to laugh, but most people were simply confused. But the news of Gavin's great fear would no doubt spread fast.
Michelle walked away from Gavin, leaving him to his thoughts which were mostly about if she would actually send ducks after him...
"Ducks?" Samuel asked as she sat down next to him.
"It's a long story. I'll tell you at a later time, because right now you gotta focus on winning this match."
"Alrighty then. Will you be cheering for me?"
"Of course! You know I can be loud."
"And when you are, you're the only thing anyone ever hears." He teased. She lightly poked his side with her wand. Everyone who was originally watching Michelle, turned away from this scene. Kaylene on the other hand, was whispering to the person next to her about how much she shipped them.
The stands out on the Quidditch field weren't as full as they were during the Gryffindor-Ravenclaw game. Most Ravenclaws only attended matches that their own team played in, otherwise, you'd find them in the Great Hall, common room, or the Library. But Isabella was not in any of these places. It was quite cold outside, but that didn't stop her from going to visit Charlie. She'd grown very fond and close to the majestic creature. If someone had told her past self that one day she'd ride a Hippogriff, she would have simply laughed it off. Hippogriffs were proud creatures, better to be feared.
"Charlie?" She called out. The usual sound of his hooves wasn't heard. "Charlie?" She called again, more worry in her voice. 'He never leaves...' she thought.
She heard leaves crunch behind her and let out a sigh of relief thinking it was Charlie. But when she turned she was faced with the tall figure of Nick. He was out of breath as if he had been running. He had a worried expression, his eyes, which were normally bright and mischievous, were now sad and dark.
"Nick.... where's.."
"He's gone."
"What?"
"Charlie. I can't... find him."
