First sword training

Who would have thought that after such a long time skip of five years, two weeks would feel so long... I want my sword. First I will train my stance. I could do it without a sword but that would feel uncomfortable for me. In between, I will train my stamina with sword swings. Running is nothing challenging so I won't do that. Mom said I still can't train my magic. But I think otherwise. Why? You ask? Because I know a way to awaken my magic from my days as a hero XP.

It isn't really fair to the people in this world but I found out that the dangers here are at least on the same level as the higher ranked demons. I won't be coming far if I don't have magic at hand. Two years ago my mom and dad came home injured. Hanna and I asked what's wrong but dad just said to Hanna: "We finally won against the death eaters. We don't know what exactly happened but you-know-who has also vanished. The boy from the Potters survived the curse. But James and Lily are dead." Afterwards, they never spoke of this again. I didn't know better, so I haven't asked either... I should have. Now I don't know how strong the enemies are other than stronger than my parents. I will have to ask them to spar with me soon.

The two boring weeks were finally over and my dad came home with the sword.

Dennis: "Promise me that you will be careful."

Lysa: "Of course, I wouldn't want to injure myself."

He nodded but still whispered to Hanna to watch over me in secret. I can hear it, dad. \(- -)

Whatever it won't change anything. He finally handed over the sword. It was only about half a meter long but already heavy for being this small.

The sword was delicately forged. The blade had some symbols inscribed as I wanted. SO did pretty good if you consider that he couldn't possibly know what they mean. They're from the fantasy world. Supposedly helping with balance and speed of the sword. He also made a scabbard out of fine leather and it seems some extra metal... I don't know which. But it is beautifully made. I love it already.

The moment I finished gazing at this pretty sword I run outside. We have a large mansion with a huge yard outside. Some of it is made with hardened sand or clay. The perfect place to train. Mom and dad watched how I stayed in position for a little while without doing anything improper so they left. Hanna was nowhere to be seen. Which only means I have to train my senses too. Maybe the hiding Hanna could even be a help.

Let's see... Horse stance is not the right one for my body for now... so I should just go with the normal 'kendo' stance for swords. I could even incorporate the stamina/endurance training with it.

________ a few hours later _____

Vanessa: "Lysa come eat something. You've been standing there for hours and haven't moved. You need some rest."

Lysa: "Don't you worry mom. This is nothing."

Vanessa: "Whatever. The food is warm right now."

Lysa: "I'll come in 15 minutes, okay?"

Vanessa: "You said that about half an hour ago too..."

OH ... (O-O)
