Awkward family dinner

Her sister, Yang Xinqian stared at Yang Xi with hatred and disgust, she couldn't stand Yang Xi being allowed to sit near her grandfather, how could a lowly mistress's daughter be allowed to sit at the nearest seat to the grandpa?! it was insulting and infuriating to her... she stomped her foot beneath the table and prepared to get up angrily, she needed to show who was a real grand daughter of yang family and who was more important but her father , Yang Tiangshen, held her hand and signalled her to stay put. Even though he himself couldn't stand a sight of his other daughter, he knew his father always favoured that bratty daughter of him.... and he needed to be on his father's good side to inherit Yang Company's shares so that he becomes the next chairman of the company. His grip on Xinqian's arm tightened a bit and she reluctantly sat again on the chair, still making faces...

"Uhm uhm..." her grandpa noticed the tension in the room , he cleared his throat to bring their attention back to him, he could clearly notice their displeasure at Yang Xi's presence ..

"We gathered here for a family dinner, so let's just do that ..." then he asked the butler to serve the dinner.... and maids served the dishes one by one...

They finally started their awkward family dinner ...

After a bit of casual talks here and there, her father , Yang Tiangshen swiftly brought up the topic of company's shares and her grandfather just closed the talk with " let's discuss about the company's matters later "

After the dinner was over they said their goodbyes and went home ahead... knowing his father very well Yang Tiangshen knew it would be difficult to please this old man with just dinner and sweet talks...

Yang Xi also prepared to leave but her grandpa called out her name and yang Xi halted in her steps

"Xiao Xi .." her grandpa said

"Yes grandfather!" Yang Xi replied politely

"You know how I want you to join the Yang Company , are you still considering it ?"

"I... I am thankful that you think highly of me but I want to chase my own dream grandfather, I want to work in the entertainment field, I want to become an actress.." she said politely but firmly.

Her grandfather smirked a bit 'as stubborn as her mother' he thought to himself .

Then she bowed to him respectfully, taking her leave "take care of your health grandfather "

and he just nodded slightly.

When he offered his men to drive her home she plainly declined and preferred to go home by herself. Her grandfather knew it's impossible to persuade this grand daughter of his even for such a little matter , 'she is a stubborn child ' grandpa Yang smirked slightly.

At the same time at Lee Feng's villa, Lee Feng was focused on his work in his study, a man who looked like an assistant walked in, he looked like he was in his twenties, he has slender tall stature , carrying some documents or reports in his hands he pushed the door open

"Boss I have got the information you asked for" said the man..

Lee Feng didn't even lift his head up to look at the man who was eagerly waiting for the response from his boss with expectant eyes, his eyes still focused on laptop he said " place it over there, I will check that later , you may leave !"

and with that poor Wu Lian left the room.

At first glance anyone would think that Lee Feng is a heartless , devil boss... many would fear him but for Wu Lian he wasn't that stone hearted devil boss as everyone knows him but his life saver , his guardian and a true friend. Wu Lian knew him from the young age of ten when he saved his life and ever since he was with Lee Feng. On the surface it would seem like a typical assistant boss relation but actually for Wu Lian he was like his elder brother.

When Lee Feng saw that Wu Lian left the room he hurriedly kept his laptop aside and rushed to check the report that his capable assistant has brought.
