Chapter 12.5 :- Alternative Reality Part-I

PLEASE NOTE:- READ THIS CHAPTER ONLY IF YOU HAVE READ UNTIL CHAPTER 12, OTHERWISE IT WILL SPOIL YOUR FUN.

What if Li Ming was not an Abyssal Wolf, but an ordinary human? This series follows a short summary about how the destiny would have been changed and how the timeline would follow if Li Ming was a normal human. I would write the summaries of altered reality after some series of events take place within the novel where a major change takes place.

On a gigantic continent, about hundred thousand kilometres in length and fifty thousand kilometres in width, which was floating in the void, was a large library which had every information about the heroes who had great contributions towards the whole starry sky.

Amongst one of the more restricted areas within the library, was a jade slip, placed within an ornate bookcase with other jade slips, containing the story of one of the greatest contributors. The story of the Human Hierarch Li Yu. The following is the story of Li Yu:-

Li Yu's father was hunter while his mother was a normal housewife. He had a little brother named Li Ming. Grown up under the shelter of his parents, Li Yu was a good natured and kind young man. He was also the most famous hunter in the village, taking up hunting at the age of 17, and was reportedly said to have killed a tiger shaped beast head on. His little brother, Li Ming, was sent to a scholar's academy, where he got good enough grades to join the neighboring city as a government official. At the age of 20, when the family was about to move to the neighboring city, Li Yu got to know about the cultivation world from manager Ma.

Never having to face the difficulties in his life till that point, Li Yu was excited rather than having a fear at the dangers of cultivation world. He pestered manager Ma, who finally relented and gave him his treasures and cultivation technique.

Knowing that his brother and parents would be safe and sound without him, he decided to become a cultivator, much to the chagrin of his parents. After much arguments and discussions, they finally relented and sent him away tearfully.

Li Yu spent a full month to reach the 1st stage of Qi Expansion realm, and then immediately departed towards the Southern Dark Forest. On his journey, he met an ambush by a monstrous beast known as Shadow Leopard. As he cultivated with a mid grade Human cultivation technique, he was not a match for the beast. Noticing a small space between the roots of a giant tree, he quickly dashed inside, and closed the space with a nearby huge rock.

However, Shadow Leopard was still outside the cramped space, slashing at the rock. Even though it couldn't enter, Li Yu couldn't go out either. As he had very less amount of food in his spatial ring, he would only be able to last a week. Faced with no choice, Li Yu had to gamble with his life by eating the fruits that manager Ma had warned him to only eat after verifying their uses.

Quickly eating the five fruits, a loud explosion was heard by him, as the internal part of his body exploded, leaving only his outer skin intact. After a second or two, the internal part of his body was remodeled, and he shed his outer skin along with large amounts of impurities, revealing a fair and tender skin which was smoother than a baby's.

Realising that he sensed the heaven and earth energies many times better than before, he quickly deduced the usage of the fruits. He felt sorry for manager Ma for using the fruits, but he didn't feel any guilt as he had not deceived manager Ma, but had made a decision while on the verge of death. He quickly took a Qi Condensing pill and began absorbing the low grade spirit stones, with an increased speed which was the result of his improved spiritual roots.

Just as he was about to be starved to death, he managed to breakthrough to the 2nd stage of Qi Condensing realm, and went out from the cramped space and killed the Shadow Leopard with a sudden attack that caught the Shadow Leopard off guard. Quickly roasting the meat of the Shadow Leopard, he filled his famished stomach and carried on with his journey.
