A JULIUS CAESAR TALE ALL OVER AGAIN

"Amira! Amira!" he started searching for her but no matter how much he searched she is no where to be found. Atlast he just cannot search anymore as he was really tired. He went back to the hut but to his surprise there is no hut. Only the stream flowed as usual but nothing else seemed the same. There are no beautiful plants or trees that once surrounded the hut anymore. He didn't understand what was happening. He just dozed of near the stream and its already evening by the time he woke up.

He wanted to give another try searching for amira before the sun goes down. His stomach growled with hunger. So he went back into the woods and got himself some fuits and sat under a tree and ate them.

Meanwhile back in the heart of Neoon, it was declared that princess Neoona was dead. The condolence meeting was obviously a formality but nonetheless they had to keep one considering the royal tradition. The old woman and the short man were seated on either side of the official throne. The royal court was filled with murmuring about the princess. Chend stood to the side of the throne. The old woman looked at him and was a little bit angry that he was hiding his obvious feeling of sorrow. Chend observed this but did not shake even a bit. He just stood like a stone without feelings holding his grip onto a sealed letter.

In a short while, the court room doors opened wide and the murmuring stopped at the entrance of a young man walking as fast as he could. Everybody including the old woman stood up in silence.

He walked and stood exactly infront of the old woman and said in a deep tone

"Mother! Care to explain what happened here?" he looked so shook that the old woman had to take a minute to think about her answer. One wrong step and his own son would not even spare a minute to think before getting her beheaded.

She took a deep breathe and said in a sad tone " this is our karma..our fate…may be this is the result of my wrong doings in my previous life. To think that my family and my own son had to suffer like this, being betrayed by the betrothed, it must have definitely been my own sin from my previous life. I am so sorry my beloved Foloe.. The gods have punished me to see my son suffer like this" he said wiping her tears to which chend smirked. The old lady observed that and looked angrily at him.

"I the emperor of Neoon will decide if its really your past life sin or this life sin" he said as he walked upto the throne and sat on it.

"Foloe! Are you doubting your own mother?!" she looked distraught

"Am just merely stating the consequences" he said promptly

"Sir Chend! What happened?" he asked

As Chend was stepping forward, the short man from before tried interrupting saying " Neoona is a traitor. She tried to destroy us in ur absence..she.." he started throwing complaints as he was interrupted by the king himself

"I said Sir Chend" he said angrily

His mother and the short man and also the lady in white from the procession exchanged looks.

"Your highness, there is always what we see and hear and what really happened and also what our gut says happened. Since I was not there at the time I don't think its right for me to tell you that." Chend replied obediently

"Alright then who was there?" he asked

The court room fell silent and the king go angrier by the minute. The old womans hands literally started shaking though she tried to maintain her calm she couldn't help but show her fear.

"Well?" the king got up

"We found evidence" the old woman managed a sentence.

"What evidence?" he asked

"We found these letters she had been writing to the Jelan king about our security and loopholes. We sure know how much the Jelan king wanted to invade our kingdom." The short man added

"Yes! Yes!" the woman in white added "I am the one who found these letters. Your highness I was beyond shocked to see these..I mean these letters they start by description of the security loopholes and as we progress you could see things getting personal. I could not look at them with my own eyes" she alledged.

Chend got so upset at this that his gaze at the woman in white made her almost choke up

"Some people here are trying to cover up her mistakes but angry looks doesn't stop me from serving my nation and the king. I will swear by my life that the princess is a traitor" the woman in white managed to say

"Stop it!" the king shouted

"I will look at these and decide if she really is what you are telling she is. If I found her not guilty, I swear up on her life that am gonna get everyone involved in this a brutal punishment that you will beg me to kill your filthyselves." He stomped and got out of the room. "We will be continuing this tomorrow" he said before leaving.

Back in the palace, he paced back and forth with his fist clenched so hard that his nails dug into palms making them bleed."This indeed is a sad day..but this also is the time you need to refrain from leading with your emotions." Foloe turned his head to these words.

A tall dark young man stood at the entrance. Seeing him the king got relieved and ran towards him.

"Prejen.. look! Look what all these people did.. They killed my wife in my absence saying she is a traitor." He wept like a baby

"But..you think otherwise.dont you" Prejen asked the king

"Yes! Ofcourse! I know my wife..I love her and she loves me. There is no way she is a traitor. Besides this is her kingdom . What in the world will she gain from that" he said painfully "Besides…" he stopped

"Besides?" Prejen asked

"Besides, she is the one who told me they are killing her. She came into my dreams a night before she was killed and said she was very thankful for all the wonderful memories we had and that she will forever be greatful for being her husband." He cried

"mm…what else did she say? Did she say anything about what happened here?" he asked

"No! She said not to think about what happened to her.. She said..i cannot stop it in time..So I should not blame myself about it..She said that I should not dwell in the past and just to take care of the kingdom with much care and to not do the same mistakes she did. She did warn me to not trust anyone..not even my shadow" he fell on the floor on his knees and banged the floor with his fists.

"Mmm….i never understood how you both communicate in your dreams" Prejen said

"I don't know that too..I just know that she could come into my dreams..she said even she doesn't know how..she just can is all she said" Foloe wailed

"Mmm…however..you should listen to your wife.. you should not dwell in the past and move forward" he said sitting beside th eking on the floor

"Yes!! I know! I will do it after I make sure I cut the real traitors throat with my own hands. I will avenge my wife" he said with his eyes turning as red as dusky sun.

"But that's not what your wife wanted..is it?" Prejen tried to convince him.

"I know! But once a traitor, always a traitor..he is a threat to me and my kingdom too..personally I will avenge him but it is my duty as a good king to find the traitor too.. That foolish fellow doesn't know whats coming. He Probably thought I was an idiot. He doesn't know the actual strength Neoon. Only Neoona and I know this Kingdoms real protectors. He overdid it by making my wife die" Foloe was shaking with anger.

A frustrated Prejen got up saying "Why would you never listen to me.I begged her to let it go too but she wont too..Jeez what is it with you couple..Fine! If it is in the fate for you to die..what else can I do too" he said as the confused king looked at him.Prejen took out a kife and stabbed the king before he could defend himself. As the king layed on the bloody floor, he just kept saying "Why! You are my friend. Why Prejen"

"You should have listened to your wife and moved on. All your talk about finding the traitor got me worried and made me stab you. Why would you do that huh? Why would you make me a murderer?"he said giving the final blow with his fist to which the king died.

Prejen quickly took care of the proofs and slipped from there.
