Tiers

Arthur and the gang arrived at the command outpost.

Like the medical bay, it was not that grand either. There is not even a single guard outside. It just looks like a normal bunker.

Entering inside the whole place is like a war zone.

Military officers are running all over the place, busy doing logistics. Finding it hard for Arthur and the gang to approach someone.

"Reporting for duty sir!" Emmanuel said nervously not knowing if he should salute or stand straight. He is not a soldier, he was just some busboy working in some random diner. He didn't know what protocol to follow in this kind of situation.

While Emmanuel stands there nervously, Arthur and Aleria stand behind him not doing anything.

The military officer looks at Emmanuel, hands out his hand, and resumes doing his paperwork.

"Paper"

He already experiences a hundred of these similar cases before, where a forced recruit loses their commanding officer making them clueless about what to do.

Hearing him, Emmanuel handed over a paper detailing them to report at the command center.

Without even reading it, the military officer stamps it and puts it together with the others then he gets three military dog tags and hands it over to Emmanuel.

"Each of you gets a tag, hold it in your hands, and think of your status. Hand it over to me once you're done."

Emmanuel handed over the tag to Aleria and Arthur.

The tag looks no different than a normal one except for the fact that it was made of some kind of crystal-like material.

It's been long since the last time Emmanuel and Arthur last saw their status so they're a bit curious.

Arthur Wardragon [Human] Lv.50

HP: 1450

SP: 1740

Str: 145

Vit: 145

Int: 145+29

Agi:145

Unassigned Points: 70

Special Skills:

Enhance Intelligence(Passive): Increase intelligence by 20 percent.

Perceived Duration (Active): The subjective experience, or sense, of time, which is measured by someone's own perception of the duration of the indefinite and unfolding of events.

"What f@c%!" To his shock, Arthur accidentally exclaims. Everyone is shocked at Arthur's outburst, they turn their heads toward him but Arthur just pretends that nothing happens.

The last time Arthur saw his status, he was level 36. He remembers all of his stats being at 81. He aims for balance so he distributed his unassigned points equally.

It's just simple math. Every time he levels up, he gains one stat point to each of his attributes. Following this, his stats should only be 95, not 145.

'What the hell happened, when did I get so strong? I even acquired two special skills' Arthur thought to himself.

Emmanuel stats didn't change drastically like Arthur and Aleria. Except for his vitality which is exceptionally high all of his stats remain underwhelming. This was completely understandable as he played dead most of the battle.

As they opened their status, letters started to show in the tags they are holding.

Arthur Wardragon [Lv.50]

Aleria Windwalker [Lv.60]

Emmanuel

After checking the tags they hand it over to the military officer as instructed.

The military officer looks at the tags not expecting much but as he sees the numbers written there. He was shocked.

He checked it over and over again to make sure that what he was seeing is correct but no matter how many times he checked the letter in the tag remains the same.

'Holy cr*p is this real?' They are reserved troops so it means they only arrived here yesterday. How can their levels be so high? Some of the veteran soldiers didn't have this high level. I need to report this to the general'

"You three follow me, we're going to meet the general." He leads the gang to the center of the outpost. Where a man is sitting on a desk looking at a map with O's and X's.

That man is the very same one that gives the speech on Asgard, the five-star general.

Everyone is puzzled, 'how can a five-star general be in a place like this. Isn't he supposed to be in some kind of command center together with some higher-ups? What do the general could want with them?'

"Reporting sir!" Seeing the military officer do a salute, the gang copied him.

The general eyes fall at Arthur and Aleria looking very pleased.

"Hahaha, At ease soldier. This is a good, two-tier one. It seems that my Asgard is being blessed by heaven"

Confused by the general words Arthur steps up.

"Permission to ask questions, sir!"

"Permission granted" Being as pleased as he was, the General didn't mind answering some questions.

"Can you elaborate sir what you mean when you say tier?

"hmmm," The general looks at the military officer asking him to leave.

"It seems that your commanding officer didn't explain anything to you." The general said.

Arthur and Emmanuel look at each other awkwardly.

"Yes general, due to the urgency of the situation Sergeant Rina wasn't able to explain much" Hearing them the general laugh

"Hahahahaha so that's the excuse she gave you." Arthur and Emmanuel look puzzled.

"Actually your sergeant didn't know much either, she has only been here for a month so don't blame her."

"To answer your question, tier is just a term used to gauge an individual stage of being".

"Every human starts at tier 0. Every time we level up each of our stats increases by one but once we reach level 50 and become tier 1 things will be different."

"You and that girl over there might have already felt it, right? suddenly becoming a lot stronger."

"This is because once you become tier 1. The increases you gain per level up changes from 1 to 2"

Listening to Arthur and the general conversation. Emmanuel became excited, he only needs 10 more levels and he will be as strong as Arthur and Aleria.

Arthur however, is preoccupied with the thought of Sergeant Rina.

'The general know who's boo is, he must know where she is'

Unable to hold himself anymore Arthur asked."General, do you know where our sergeant is?"

Noticing something, the general looks directly at Arthur's eyes, the happy expression on his face changed.

Arthur suddenly feels like his soul is being read.

"Answer me, boy! What's Rina mean to you?"
