They said that Evil was the one who plunged this domain with eternal darkness and destruction. The Land of Dawn that has yet been reborn is now heading towards its end. Not in fire, not in ice... but with a whimper.
Darkness, eternal nights, has filled the souls of the warriors who ought to believe in the apocryphal truth of saving this world by slaying the wicked that is merely just a lie like a child's story that the children ought to believe in.
Is saving the world really something that everyone should be proud of? No. No matter how many times you fight, slaying is just a matter of perspective but little do they know that Good or Evil, is always Evil. Take action, kill an arsonist. Killing is Sin. Sin is Evil. See the equivalence of the two. The burden is much alike. It cannot be atoned even you justify that the actions you have done was right. It cannot be atoned.
Upon saying this, there is only one ailment that exists in this world and that is the crude faith of men. None could ever heal that ailment. They fought, looking for nirvana, but they are bringing their own selves carrying the wholeness of this world to form a dystopia. Beyond these walls stained with ichor, filling up our hearts with vigor, and again, we rise and conquer. It is... our duty to rid the world of it.
"Attack!!!"
The rumbling of the horde, the clattering of the swords of steel.
It was the army of the Moniyans who are fighting against the blood demons. There is too much bloodshed. There is too much pain and despair. The trees had grown into dismembered figures that are capable of using their roots as a ductile whip, smashing those footmen on to their feet. The necromancers, constantly raising blood-thirsty undead soldiers, The battle is so intense that it rocks the entirety of the land. But the fearless Tigreal stood in might as he took his shield, leaped, and pummeled the ground causing such destructive force that bashes the entire demon force surrounding them. Giving all of his soldiers the courage, they rushed towards the enemy without the fear of getting killed.
Then suddenly, a loud screech filled the battlefield, moving the ground, and then out of the blue, a legion of undead soldiers came out of the castle and behind the army, there stood a maiden that was Vexana who had resurrected from the dead with blood all over her mouth and clothes and she was held in chains that has been broken.
Tigreal kept his eyes on the maiden, he took his sword and swung it among the undead soldiers killing half of the army. Vexana smiled and then she screeched, piercing the ears of the enemies, and those dead soldiers who have heard her came back to life, picked up their swords, and rushed ferociously towards the Moniyans. Tigreal and his army will be having a hard time of clearing the undead wave because Vexana which turns out to be resurrected as a necromancer will raise undead soldiers constantly to fight for her. Vexana cackled.
Just in time, reinforcements arrived. Natalia, a mysterious assassin came, armed with a huge steel claw on her right arm. She had the title "The Bright Claw of the Moniyan Empire". Natalia dashes towards the horde throwing her smoke bomb towards them, everything was done really fast and after the smoke dissipates, all of the undead soldiers were decapitated, falling on the ground. "Is that all?" Bragged Natalia. "Well, well, well... A woman with such a fresh body." Vexana chuckled while licking the blood on her lips. "I want your body so bad! Give me it! Ha ha ha! I'm going crazy with it! Ha ha ha!"
"I'll hand it to you over my defeat!" Natalia said sarcastically. Then without a further ado, the necromancer pounced towards her, "Die for me!!!" Vexana blasted out mystical projectiles on Natalia but Natalia was so fast that she could dodge those raining projectiles easily. Upon falling, Natalia raises her huge steel claw and stabs Vexana on the heart. The necromancer screamed in pain. "I don't want to... go.. back! The.. Lord of the.. Abyss.." she falls into the ground.
"Where are the others?"
"They were inside the castle. Prepare the expedition team for me, this intervention is getting out of hand and those blood demons won't give up on retrieving back their castle."
"Tigreal, this is just dangerous. The blood demons' queen Alice will never let anyone break out of her castle that easily... this is a huge life to cost with!"
"Natalia, I know what I am doing. I've done this a lot of times and you can't—"
"It is just too risky!" Screamed Natalia.
"And this is an order! Retreat back to the fortress and summon the expedition forces right now!" Replied Tigreal.
"You're out of your mind..." Natalia replied.
Even Tigreal does not know what the blood demons are capable of. The blood demons were the most feared creatures on the entire land. They were brutes, and the blood orcs, they show no mercy to their enemies on the battlefield. They love feasting on the blood of humans. Alice's subordinate Dyrroth in which they call him The Prince of Darkness was known for these brutal acts. Their fetish for human blood was widely known to the entire land and that makes them really threatening. But luckily, Dyrroth was not there or they could've suffer from extreme death paranoia.
A few minutes later, the expedition team arrived.
"My warriors, this mission is very important. We must rescue our fellows inside that doomed castle because their lives are at stake and we will not let that happen!"
"Yes, sir!" Screamed the soldiers.
Upon reaching the castle gates, they could feel the strong chaotic aura coating their insides. Blood on the floor, they took the bite of Alice's tricks. A man stood, holding a sword, waiting for them to come inside the castle gates. The man's face was all in pitch black that made them fall in suspicion. "Who are you? Speak up!" Tigreal shouted. The man turned its face and its right eye was filled with a red hue of a flame burning so brightly. "Prepare to engage!"
But as Tigreal look back, all of his soldiers were dead, dropped on the ground. "What!? How—" as Tigreal turned, the man walked among the corpses towards Tigreal. The chaotic energy intensifies as the castle rumbled and everything was falling from their places. "What should I do?!! I should've listened to Natalia! I've underestimated them!"
Tigreal took his sword and shield. "Who are you?!" Tigreal spoke. "Hell", the man replied.
"This is hell."
"Indeed it is. And i'm going to take it away from here!"
Tigreal leaped towards the man and swung his sword. The man manages to dodge and countered a strike making Tigreal flew out of balance and crash into the walls.
"This is bad!" Tigreal spoke.
He took his armaments and fled the scene immediately. He was so afraid that he wanted to die on that castle rather than going home, empty-handed and defeated but he has no other choice so he manages to save his life so that he could take revenge for his fallen warriors. It is engraved inside his heart. He swore.
As he rode his horse and look back, he sees the castle falling apart, disappearing in the cold, clear night.
