Priestess Kong

With a loud noise, the metal door creaked as it opened and Qiao Guangli came in with a plate of food, though little. As for Cao Yang, he came in after Qiao Guangli and started creeping up to her. She felt dirty and started to shiver the moment she saw him coming close to her, but she tried her best to maintain a calm face.

"Xiao Hua, eat," Qiao Guangli said and gave her the fork and spoon. "If you don't eat, you're appearance will grow ugly."

Giving both of the men a stare deep in the eyes, she asked, "Do you guys not feel disgusted bedding a woman at the same time?"

Chuckling, Cao Yang said, "Xiao Hua, you don't understand. In a male best friend relationship, we share everything. Even women."

Hearing the disgusting words that Cao Yang said, she stayed silent to it and just grabbed the utensils handed to her despite both of the men ogling her naked body. "Just wait… Just wait for the perfect chance Qiao Jinghua," she said to herself in the head, trying not to fail her murder plan she had.

Once Cao Yang started to touch her, she also felt Qiao Guangli staring at her curves. When she saw that they were going into a daze from her body, using the fork that she was in her right hand, she stabbed Qiao Guangli aiming at his heart. By pure luck or chance, her stab landed where she wanted to and Qiao Guangli collapsed onto the cold black floor.

Qiao Guangli had not died yet but was just bleeding to death and being unable to breathe. She had managed to stab him deeply in the heart, but the spot that she chose was not an automatic death but a slow death. In all, he thought that she was probably stabbing him in the heart as retribution for stabbing Chang Yuan in the same spot.

As for Cao Yang, once he saw that Qiao Guangli was laying on the floor, he was quick to think in his head whether he was going to run and get help or attack her. In the end, he chose the latter option.

He did not have much other than his own fists and strength. However, he would still have won if he yelled out for help instead of caring for his own ego.

In his final moments, he could only stare as she stabbed him with the fork she was able to pull out of Qiao Guangli after stabbing him. As though she had anger built up from the torture Cao Yang put her through, she stabbed a few dozen times before finally being satisfied. By then, the body had already grown cold and she was covered in blood.

After standing of the room for a while blankly, she finally gave out a deep hollow laugh. While laughing, she was crying. It seemed to have been years since she last cried was what she was thinking at that moment.

Staring at the fork that was in her hand, she laughed out loud again. After laughing enough that her stomach hurt, she threw the fork on the floor forcibly, disgusted at the blood and flesh that covered it. She also stared at the bodies on the floor.

She was about to run out of energy from stabbing two humans, but she had to remain energetic for one last thing. Before Li Huiqing died, he had told her that Qi Xifeng had been killed by Qiao Guangli and that Ren Lei was being tortured by Cao Yang's people. He also told her that the girls who helped the men in the plan were killed since Cao Yang and Qiao Guangli was afraid pieces of evidence would show up and go against them.

Right now, she had no friends. No family. No one that she could rely on right now.

Staring at the dim room that had blood everywhere and only dark bricks that formed the rectangular room, she looks at the one piece of brick that was about to fall off. Looking at that brick, she stared at the dead bodies again.

Heaving a painful and tearful sigh, she silently prayed, "If it is not seen, it is possible to remain ignorant."

After saying that sentence, running at full speed, she hit her head against the wall as hard as she could. It was as though she had used all the energy she could mutter in this final moment as she died a painful, but quick death.

When the men behind the door heard the loud human crash sound, they finally came in to see what happened.

With a shocked face, one of them said, "Go! Go report to the Master! The Young Master has been murdered!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Yellow Mountains, on a creek, there laid a sleeping young girl. Her hair was snow white and her outfit was a white ancient clothing. In the middle of her forehead was silver to a gold teardrop.

Despite laying on the shore of the creek, the young lady never got dirtied. Even with the many birds crying and the rushing water, the young lady seemed to never be getting and in a deep slumber.

When the sun was high up in the sky, an elderly priestess was finally seen in the same place as the young lady. Also with a pure white outfit, the priestess went closer to look at the young lady who was sleeping on the shore.

Knowing that the young lady would not wake up by the call of a name, she used her ability of teleportation to bring the young lady to her hut or home.

Once bringing the young lady to her home, she settled the lady on the wooden and bamboo bed. After that, she burned some incense and started to cook vegetable soup.

However, even when the next day came by, it seemed that the lady still had not woken up yet. When the priestess felt that the lady had slept for too long, she started to chant a spell, hoping that the lady would wake up sooner.

Only on the third day since she was found did she finally wake up. Despite waking up though, she did not stare at the priestess, and when she felt that priestess who was beside her, she had gotten on defense.

"Young lady, there is no need to put up your guard with me," the priestess said. "You've been asleep for three days. Eat some vegetable soup."

With a frown, she said, "I can't see."

"It seems my predictions were correct," the priestess silently said.

Though the priestess was quiet, she could still hear what the priestess said.

"What is your name," she asked, still on guard.

"You can call me Priestess Kong," the priestess said. "Young lady, please eat."

Not knowing where the bowl of food and spoon is, she stuck her hands out flat, letting the priestess place them on her hands. When the priestess placed them on her hand, the priestess helped her hold the bowl and spoon correctly. Only after making sure that she was holding it balanced enough did the priestess leave to do her own thing.

Of course, before leaving, Priestess Kong said, "After you are done eating, you can put the bowl on your bed. I believe you would probably like to stretch yourself a little."

She gave a small nod at that to show that she understood and after the priestess left, she continued to eat at a snail pace. She was afraid to spill the food that was cooked for her. The food was not to her liking at all, but she still ate it.

She could not be picky with her food. She did not know where she was and she did not know who the person was that helped her out. For now, she could only try to survive.

Also, she thought that maybe the head impact made her blind. Of course, being from the modern age made her think in this way, but once she had her discussion with Priestess Kong, she would understand that it was not what she thought. That there were such things as fates.

When she finished eating, she placed her bowl on the bed and slowly got off, trying to feel the floor also. After getting off the bed, she raised her hands and walked cautiously, trying not to fall and trying to know the landscape or interior of the room she was in. At the same time, she was trying to walk in the same direction that she heard the priestess in, for she thought that the door to leave this room might be there.

After what felt like hours of her walking in the darkness, she finally could feel something that should be the door. It also seemed that the priestess had left it open for her, knowing that she could not see.

When she tried to walk out of the room, she tripped on the raised doorstep. She had managed to smash her foot too since she was excited to get out into nature. Bending down for a moment to wait out the pain, she tried to get a glimpse at the darkness in front of her again.

No matter how much she tried, it seemed that she could not see. She could not see what was in front of her, nor could she see the light that she longed for.

Heaving out a tired sigh, she sat there for a long time while trying to analyze all the things she just felt. Also, she had a feeling that the room she was in was very ancient. Raised doorsteps were not used in the modern age much, and only minimally.

Equal flooring was something she got used to, so to feel the pain of those again, she felt it was weird. There were no longer traditional Chinese houses in China unless you went to the mountain villages that were tens of miles away from big cities. Though she was thinking something impossible, she could not affirm her idea until she talked with the priestess.

Also, she might be wrong because they did have raised doorsteps at temples. If she was at a temple right now, it could be explainable. However, how did she get from Cao Yang's basement to a temple? She could not find an answer to that, so instead of hurting her head any further, she got up.

This time, she had a hard time trying to navigate her way as it was just an empty hall and it made her feel anxious. Superiorly anxious that there might be something in front of her and make her fall or something might be next to her and she would bump into it face-first.

Only after slowly walking step by step like a baby, did she finally see the darkness in front of her change into a lighter shade. However, this hurt her eyes. To stop the pain, she covered her eyes.

For sure, she thought that she was outside with the sun as the main light producer. Otherwise, how could the blackness that she saw suddenly turn into a screen of white? Though her eyes hurt, she still made the decision to walk out.

Maybe, just maybe. She could get a new start in her life.
