Who is Priestess Kong?

It was currently morning and she was heading towards Priestess Kong's room. When she first started As the years passed, she had noticed that Priestess Kong had gotten more deaf and blind. Wanting to talk to Priestess Kong now was for not only that reason but there was also another purpose.

Opening the door, she loudly called out, "Priestess Kong!"

Hearing her call, Priestess Kong asked, "Is there something you need Li Hua?"

"Priestess, can you please tell me why you are going deaf and blind," she asked in a really loud voice.

"Child, have you forgotten about what I told you during our very first serious conversation," Priestess Kong asked.

"I remember you telling me about the ceremony," she answered with a raised voice.

"To defy the heavens, you must accept the consequences," Priestess Kong told her.

"I see," she muttered.

After a quiet time of thinking, she asked, "Priestess, will you die?"

Hearing that question, the priestess gave a shallow smile before answering with, "Every human will die. That is the process of aging."

"I know that very well," she said. "But I want to know whether this ceremony you did will affect your life expectancy."

Giving a chuckle, Priestess Kong said, "It will be short. When the time comes, you will know."

"Priestess, I have another question for you," she said.

"What is it," Priestess Kong asked.

"I've grown stronger, but… I feel that there is something that is currently blocking my growth," she told Priestess Kong.

"You are still bound by the memories of the past," Priestess Kong said.

"My past memories," she quietly mumbled.

"Since the beginning, you have never told me the pains of your past," Priestess Kong explained. "However, when I saw that you were feeling bright, I thought that you would never fail my expectations.

"Thank you," she told the priestess.

"If you really want to reach where you want to be, there are two options," Priestess Kong told her. "One, you can try to go out and make new happier memories, or I can use the last of my powers to seal off your previous memories. Everything that has happened thus far will stay with you."

Her only choice was the latter. She had a hard time talking to other people aside from Qin Xifeng, Ren Lei, and children. She had a belief that children were pure and innocent. That they were someone in which you could not taint nor should taint.

"What will happen to you," she asked the priestess.

"You won't remember me," Priestess Kong answered.

"Why," she asked.

"I am the seal itself," Priestess Kong explained. "But, this seal may not last long and will be extremely weak. I hope you understand why."

Of course, she could understand why the seal would be weak and would not hold for a long time. Priestess Kong was now on her last few years left and her powers were being drained as each day went by. Her seal would probably not even last a decade, and would probably be destroyed by the slightest mention of the people in her last lifetime.

However, with Qin Xifeng and Ren Lei helping her out, she was sure she would be able to surpass where she was currently at right now. In fact, not being able to remember anything about Priestess Kong is cold and heartless of her, but in her heart, she knew that they both thought this was the best way that things could end between them. Priestess Kong did not want to be another barrier in her life, and she also wished for the priestess to be happy during the final times of her life.

If Priestess Kong was not fond of sacrificing herself, she would have said it right away, rather than suggesting to make herself the seal to her memories. However, before actually undergoing the ceremony, she wanted to know if there would be any repercussions to herself.

"Priestess, if the seal is forcibly destroyed, what will happen to me," she asked.

"Nothing will happen to you," Priestess Kong answered with a smile. "Unless you have a weak will."

"A weak will," she repeated in a questioning tone.

"With a weak heart, you will be easily hurt by the memories," Priestess Kong explained. "The saddest thing that can happen is that you will forever avoid all human interaction. As for the best thing that could happen to you, it is up to how you think about it."

"I understand," she said. "When will be a good time?"

As though trying to get a last glimpse at her, Priestess Kong narrowed her eyes and started walking closer to her. She was unable to see, but she could feel Priestess Kong get closer to her step by step. With each step that Priestess Kong took, she spoke another word.

"Right now will be a good time," Priestess Kong spoke.

Immediately after saying that, everything was quiet. The steps that she used to hear were gone and the voice that she heard was also gone. Just when she was about to call out Priestess Kong's name, her head started pounding and she crouched down to mitigate the pain.

Just when she thought the pain was gone, it came back and this time, it was hurt so much that she was moaning and biting her lips to feel less pain in her head. Just when her lips started to bleed from her biting, the pain increased and she was now yelling in pain.

She was yelling so loud that Qin Xifeng could now hear her from the other side of the house. The distance between her room and Priestess Kong's room was farthest from each other and normally, you could not hear what was happening on the other side with the sound of the running stream at the middle of the house. There was also the sound of the many insects that wanted the nectar of the flowers that surrounded the pond and the frogs that croaked on top of the lily pads.

When her loud shout was heard by Qin Xifeng, she immediately ran from her side of the house to the opposite side to see what had happened to her. As Qin Xifeng ran, she could hear the yells of her getting louder and louder. With that, Qin Xifeng began to run even faster, worrying that something was going to happen to her boss.

Just when Qin Xifeng reached her, she fainted from the pain and fell into a slumber, her body with sweat everywhere. As she fell, Qin Xifeng yelled out, "Miss! Miss! Ren Lei! Come help me! Boss just fainted! REN LEI! HURRY UP!"

When she shouted Ren Lei's name in a hurried and loud voice, he also hurriedly ran to Priestess Kong's room from outside the gates of the house, dropping the items he was carrying and ran even faster when he heard that she fainted.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Setting her on her bed and putting her in a comfortable position, Ren Lei asked, "Why did Boss suddenly faint?"

"I don't know," Qin Xifeng answered. "Also, Priestess Kong is nowhere to be seen."

Hearing her say that, Ren Lei finally thought about it. Qin Xifeng was correct. Priestess Kong usually appeared every time she got hurt, but the priestess was not here despite it being the first time that she had fainted.

"Why is the priestess not here," Ren Lei asked. "What if something happens to the Boss?"

"Hey," Qin Xifeng shouted at Ren Lei. "Don't curse her fate. Nothing bad will happen to her. She is a strong woman."

"I know. I'm saying just in case," Ren Lei explained himself. "But really, where is the priest? Didn't she say that she was not going out today and will be meditating in her room?"

"I don't know," Qin Xifeng answered. "I didn't see a trace of the priestess in her room. When I waited for you, I was looking around and there was no trace of the priestess."

"Were you able to sense her presence at all," Ren Lei asked.

"No," Qin Xifeng answered. "It's as though she disappeared into thin air."

"That is strange," Ren Lei said with furrowed brows.

"Let's not worry about the priestess for now," Qin Xifeng suggested. "For now, let's wait for the boss to wake up. The boss might know where Priestess Kong is."

"Okay," Ren Lei accepted. "I'll go cook some food for us. You can just take care of the Boss."

"Okay," Qin Xifeng said. "Make some buddha noodles for tonight. Set some aside for Boss in case she wakes up."

"Understood," Ren Lei replied.

However, even as night came by, she did not wake up. Only when the sun was high up in the sky did she finally awaken. When she woke up, she also woke up Qin Xifeng who was seated on a chair beside the bed.

"Boss, you're awake," Qin Xifeng sighed out.

Despite having just awakened, she asked, "Xifeng, is it just me, or do I feel that my powers have increased?"

Hearing that, Qin Xifeng tilted her head in confusion and checked to see the ranking of her boss. When she tried to check, she found that inside the spirit realm of her boss, there were nine gold stars in a star formation, except there was still one more missing star before being able to create the full shape of the star. This meant that her boss had risen from a Heavenly Star Supreme Late Stage to an Upper Nine Star Supreme.

"Boss, it is not only you who is sensing it," Qin Xifeng told her. "I've just checked and I saw that you just rose from a Heavenly Star Supreme late Stage to Upper Nine Star Supreme."

"How can that be possible," she asked herself out loud. "It should have taken another year or two before I could even rise to a Low Nine Star Supreme."

"It might just be luck Boss," Qin Xifeng said. "After all, you are a very lucky person."

"I do not think that luck can happen like this," she honestly spoke.

"Oh, right," Qin Xifeng remembered. "Boss, where might Priestess Kong be?"

"Priestess Kong," she asked with a confused face.

"Yes, Priestess Kong," Qin Xifeng reiterated.

Taking a while to think, she asked, "Who is this Priestess Kong you are talking about?"
