After that eventful day at the royal palace, a month had already passed. After three days of soaking in the hot spring, Zhang Wei finally left the place to handle work again. As for Li Hua, she finally left the cave only today.
It was the month of August now. When she left the waterfall and stared at the dense forest miles from her, she saw that it was in the color of yellow, orange, and red mainly. Although some greens were showing, you could still tell that it was now the autumn season.
The autumn season in this world was not too cold nor too hot. It was what you called a beautiful season with the leaves falling you. However, this beautiful autumn could never beat the spring that arrived after winter.
In her black ancient dress with intricate embroidery hand done by her, she slowly walked through the tall grasses on the plain. Today, she had free time to do nothing other than lazing around. It was no different from the past.
She never handled business personally and left it to Qin Xifeng and Ren Lei. Qin Xifeng was in charge of managing her businesses and people saw Xifeng's face more than her's. As for Ren Lei, he was in charge of the militia.
Though Qin Xifeng and Ren Lei were married, they spent lots of time apart. All because of her. Qin Xifeng had to spend lots of time at the Li World Trade whereas Ren Lei spent lots of time at the Yellow Mountains base.
In the Yellow Mountains, it was where they did all their training to the new recruits and furthered the training of the seniors. There was no such thing as "You have been here for long enough. You can dedicate your time to training the recruits."
She also had the same mindset for herself. With that belief, she was able to advance her skills riding skills, engineering skills, and archaeology skills. There were not many people in the world who's skills were equal to her.
Though, from her fight with Zhang Wei a month ago, she could tell that if not for her disguise, he would probably beat her. This also meant that he might also be on the same level as her for many of these skills she owned.
Of course, since they were not close, she still could not take a guess at his skillset level. Even when they fought, she could not tell what realm he was at. All she knew was that he was senior to her.
After walking for a while, she finally reached a lonely rainbow-colored tree. She had personally planted this tree on the plain that had nothing other than tall green grass. Though she had walked a long distance, the tree was still right next to the lake that supplied water for the fall.
Heaving a sigh, she sat down and leaned against the rainbow-colored tree. Though all she had done for the past month was sit in the spring and relax while meditating, she was tired. It might also be because she decided to use the materials in the cave to blacksmith a new weapon.
She wanted to make a new two-handed sword for Ren Lei. This sword was not the best sword she ever made, but it was better than the one she previously made for Ren Lei. The name of the sword was Geti'ikku, Cut of Death. (A/N: Any WOW fans?)
Aside from its increasing your strength and stamina, it also dealt with lots of damage to your enemy and healed you with kill you got. Despite all these properties though, she still felt that it was not good enough. However, she would stop thinking about it now since all she wanted to do was to rest and breathe in the fresh air around her.
As she closed her eyes and evened her breathing, she finally fell into a deep sleep that she did not have for days. She was an insomniac person. Aside from that, she also ate little to nothing.
Indeed, it was a good thing she was a Ten Star Supreme. Otherwise, she would be starving to death now after not having eaten for a month. Although there was food in the cave and many other fresh ingredients she could use to cook, she was too lazy to cook for herself or to even eat.
For her, she found eating a chore. Others survived to eat. But she ate to survive.
After sleeping for about twenty-four hours, she finally started to gain a little bit of consciousness. At that point, she had not planned on getting up, but she started feeling another person's presence in front of her. Almost immediately, she had set up a space barrier between her and that presence.
"Hahaha. There's no need to be so uptight," Zhang Wei chuckled upon seeing her reaction.
With a frown, she slowly opened her eyes. When the blurriness finally faded, she saw Zhang Wei's face that was covered by a mask in front of her. It was not right up to her face, but it was definitely close enough for her to see the gaps of the mask.
Voicing her suspicions, she asked, "Your Highness, how did you find this place?"
This tree had a natural barrier that made others not be able to see it at all. The only person to see it was her. 'Unless the tree also lets people of a higher realm than her be visible to the presence of the tree.'
"Hm… If this prince wants something, naturally this prince will be able to find it," Zhang Wei said with a smirk.
Though he was not able to see her sleeping face, he was still happy with being able to see her sleeping form. Indeed, a lady is not only graceful when conscious, but also when unconscious to the movements of the real world. He thought that Li Hua was a very elegant woman.
She did not know what it was that Zhang Wei wanted, but she did not want to associate with someone from the imperial family, so she said, "Your Highness, if you may excuse me then. I shall be leaving."
"Leaving so soon," Zhang Wei asked amusedly while reaching out his hand to stop her from standing up.
He had spent an entire month to find her, so how could he let go of this opportunity? Since gaining his power, he had never spent more than three days on trying to find someone. It was not that he gave up, but that there was no need to expend so much energy on someone when he knew where they were already.
Sighing, she asked, "Is there something Your Highness wants to request?"
"Of course there is," Zhang Wei immediately answered. "Otherwise, why would I spend an entire month on trying to find you?"
She had to admit that she admired his persistence. Had it been her, she would just let it go and say, "Fate will bring them back together." She was too lazy to expend effort on finding a single human.
Shrugging off his hand, she asked, "What do you want?"
"I request for another challenge," Zhang Wei answered.
"Why," she asked.
She did not want to fight him again. Not only would she have to spend another month in that cave, but she would also definitely lose against him. After all, last time she only won because she had practically cheated by disguising her realm.
Almost as though he knew what she was thinking, he replied with, "Do you really want me to say it when you know the answer?"
"Forget it," she said. "I admit to my loss. What do you want?"
"Admitting to a loss that easily," Zhang Wei asked with a smug smile. "I wanted to fight with you again."
"Your Highness, I do not want to fight with you again," she said.
"Why," Zhang Wei asked with a deep smile, knowing the answer already.
At this point, she already knew that he was just messing around with her, so upped, wanting to leave. When she showed these actions, he once again held onto her wrist and stopped her from leaving. She just wanted to rest and not deal with human emotions. Why was it so difficult for her?
"Since you lost, should you not give me a prize," Zhang Wei asked with an extorting smile.
What the hell? Why did she have to give him a prize? She was not a judge or the emperor.
"Your Highness, if you want a prize, you can go to your father emperor," she told him. "I have nothing valuable to give you."
"No, you do," Zhang Wei denied.
She stared at him, wondering what he really wanted. He already came here wanting something and now he was messing with her. In fact, the question she wanted most to be answered was, "How did he find her sleeping under the rainbow-colored tree?"
Feeling that she was giving him a deep stare, he finally followed up with, "This prince wants to be your friend. Will you allow it?"
