Hong Kong, 1950.
After escaping from Japanese-occupied Foshan with the help of his student Tony.
Ip opens a school to propagate his art, and earn a living in the difficult times in Hong Kong filled with refugees.
During this period of time Hong Kong is under the British ruling. But the economy will soon flourish in growth as well as having a vast pool of labour force.
However, it is still hard to find and attract students to learn Wing Chun. Since he had a relative lack of reputation as a martial artist in the city.
But soon a young man named Wong Shun Leung challenged Ip Man, but was defeated easily.
Bring some of his friends to gang up on him.
When Ip Man beats them all, Wong and his friends were impressed by his skills.
And became his first students, bringing further more disciples to the school.
Today Ip Man was sitting on a chair on the rooftop watching as his students train, "The dispersing hands should stay in the center...Relax...Relax more."
With the help of a friend Ip Man was able to use the space on the rooftop that was vacated to teach.
The roof has a gray background made from cement. The surroundings had many empty baskets and cargo boxes.
A knock on the steel doors interrupted the martial art practioner's training. Ip Man and the practitioners in white shirt and black pants turned around to see who it was.
They saw a tall man with short black hair, through the changshan they could see the bulging biceps that squeezed into the clothing.
Just by standing there he gives off this intimidating presence that made the man take a step back.
"Master Ip Man!" calls the man as he bows and gives a kung fu salute.
"You are?" Ip Man walks in front and also greets.
"Do you not remember? I'm Hui Liang," Tony smiles, saying to his master.
"Hui!!?" This was the first time he's seen his master so startled by something that happened.
"Master Ip Man do you not recognize me anymore? It's been over 10 years since you left Hong Kong," he saids with a face of joy to finally see his master again.
"You really are Hui," Ip Man said excitedly, holding Tony's two arms examining the change in his student.
During these last decade much has happened in Tony's life since the fight with General Miura. The most perceivable difference is his physique.
As he continues to make changes to the Super Pill it slowly begins to enhance his body from the DNA level.
Coupled with weight and strength training his body to the highest possible stage in human performance.
In his fight with Miura he realized that he's still not as strong as could possibly be.
So over the years he had been training in bench press, squats, and deadlift with weights over 1000 pounds.
Coupled with the enhancement by the Super Pill makes his body mass 293 pounds.
Making even Arnold Schwarzenegger at his peak body physique look minuscule. Not even worthy to fetch his shoes.
'Hui could fight me evenly ten years ago, how strong is he now,' Ip Man asks himself.
He has never seen a student learn so fast, reaching the Kung Fu Grandmaster stage in only 20 years. Since it usually takes 30-40 years of immense training.
Yet this kind of once in a century martial arts monster is standing right in front of him.
He can sense hidden inside those muscles is a ferocious beast that can rip apart even a lion that stands in his way.
"Master, is he our senior," one of the students asks, observing Tony's muscular physique.
The students couldn't believe that their Master who is so skinny could teach such a student who bursts with strength.
Even his biceps are bigger than their thighs, how powerful is this senior practitioner?
"Yes, Hui is my first student," Ip Man introduces Tony. Who smiles and greets them with a kung fu gesture.
But their reunion was interrupted by three men coming up onto the rooftop.
The person in front has this arrogance in his walk, wearing a deep green coat and pants.
Calling out, "Are you Ip Man?" He sees Tony standing there and immediately assumes he's the master due to the intimidating physique.
"I am. What's the matter?" Ip Man asks puzzled.
"You're Ip Man?" the guy wearing matching green looks with a questionable expression observing Ip Man up and down.
"Your pupil Wong Leung has injured our man. He's in our hands. Go pay your ransom at the fish market. Lee Hung Kee. Let's go," finishing the message he leaves with his men.
Finishing his talk the man left the rooftop through the door.
This made Ip Man very quiet, since he definitely couldn't produce that amount of ransom money in such a short period.
Following his Master Tony arrives at the fish market, which has a large stone entrance with the number 1932 carved like a brand on the top of the entrance slap.
The place was very quiet as they were walking through.
Seeing only men pushing wooden carts that have something they are carrying with white cover.
The place has tiled yellow plastic roofs that are sustained by a metal bars foundation.
Hence it is more spacious for the fishmongers to sell things.
Walking close by the fish market Tony immediately smells a strong fishy smell to the place.
There were a lot of wooden crates lying around, where the ground is filled with water from the tubs.
They saw the sign Lee Hung Kee and walked over to that part of the fish market.
Inside the place was dimly lit by a single electric lamp that hangs down from the ceiling.
With a lot of rectangular fish nets that are lying around. A man sees Ip Man and Tony coming in and calls out, "Kai!"
A man who was playing some game at the table leisurely with his friends responded, "You are his master?"
Kai has a gray hoodie on while wearing a brown shirt.
Ip Man nods and replies, "Correct. This young man. I'm sure this is just a misunderstanding. Let's talk it out. Can you release my pupil first?"
Kai calls out to his man, "Release him!"
The man uncovers the green rectangular net and the wooden crate to Ip Man's pupil that was inside the concrete tub.
His body was deeply soaked after being inside the tub for so long.
He has short hair with white shirt under a thin gray coat. The man pushes his pupil towards Ip Man
