Sitting at the table Hui Lik uncovered the plastic food covers over the dishes.
Lifting up the covers Miss Wong could smell the delicious fragrance of the dishes of food washing over her with hunger.
Seeing her keen focus on the food Hui Lik motioned to the dishes, "Please try it Miss Wong."
"Thank you!" she begins picking up her chopsticks and trying a bit of the meat.
The flavors of the meat all seems to burst in her mouth, all the elements peaks her taste buds.
"It's delicious!" she tells him with a happy smile.
"I'm glad you like it," he tells her.
Mid-dinner Hui Lik picks up the bottle of wine on the table and pours a bit into both their cups.
Raising his cup of wine in toast Hui Lik, "Cheers!"
"Cheers," their glass cups clashing together with a soft bang.
As Hui Lik was tasting the wine from his cup Miss Wong took a secret glance at him in observation.
Beneath her white dress she could feel the beating of her flustered heart almost leaping off her chest.
Especially the burning attraction for him in that black casual suit outlining his broad shoulders.
Seeing that Hui Lik's looking over at her with a teasing smile she quickly lowered her head in a blush, pretending to be drinking from the cup of wine.
But at this moment as she was hiding away in the drink, those pair of eyes turned gloomy and disheartened.
'..I can't love him,' she thinks gloomy to herself, directing away her attraction.
At this moment there was an explosive Bang sound in the sky that shocked off her depressing thoughts.
With astonishment she looks up to see where the disturbance is coming from.
It was a majestic explosion of different varieties of fireworks, marking the city sky with colors.
She was captured by the beauty as each firework launches off decorating the night.
Hui Lik who was also watching the fireworks was filled with admiration that his senior planned all of this just for his date.
Across town people gawked appreciation from their home, it was truly a memorable spectacle that will be remembered for decades to come.
Miss Wong's eyes became misty as she glazed over at Hui Lik, there was so much she wanted to express yet a part of her wanted to keep it in to avoid hurting his feelings.
"..Thank you Lik," she mutters to him in a soft tone.
Hui Lik who was looking at the gorgeous spectacle of color glanced over at her with a nod.
On this rooftop filled with shining light and a sky filled with multi-colored fireworks Hui Lik slowly stood up from his chair walking over to Miss Wong's side.
Hui Lik grasped her hand saying with a cool smile, "Come with me, it's tonight's last surprise."
Miss Wong follows Hui Lik to a metal grate staircase on the roof with railing.
The staircase goes to a higher level of the roof building, where she could oversee a body of water with the lights from the fireworks flashing across the blue water.
There was a peacefulness to all of this as she watched the calm blue water from afar.
Hui Lik went over to the edge of the railing to where a black guitar case leaned against and slowly uncased the bag.
Picking up the guitar from the case he looks at it with gratitude, 'I'm forever grateful Senior Liang!'
Miss Wong turned around from the sight in front of her to see Hui Lik holding the guitar across his waist.
Everything about tonight has already exceeded her expectations, it is a beautiful dream which she wants to forever remain inside.
And placing a hand on her chest to feel the exciting rush of pulse, finding herself slowly drawn in unable to resist her heart melting for him.
"This song is called [Let Me Tell You]," there was a pause in his voice as he touched the cold wired strings of the guitar.
In that quiet pause Hui Lik remembers back to when Tony was in a room teaching him the guitar.
Hui Lik who has a guitar resting on his leg playing the chords suddenly stopped continuing through the song.
He has his head down looking at a wired string of the instrument resting in front of him.
"Why did you stop playing Junior Lik," Tony asked, hearing that the guitar sound ended.
There was a peaceful stillness in the practice room, "Women are like a jigsaw puzzle...I couldn't understand her…"
Tony looked over to see there was foggy confusion in his eyes as he saids despondently.
"Do you know what she likes about you?" Tony asked calmly.
Hearing this Hui Lik looks up at Tony, "Senior Liang. What happens if she doesn't…"
His sentence broke off as he returned into a disheartened state watching the ground.
Smiling at his disheartened state, Tony says to him calmly, "No two person have the same life experience, but they can have one matching goal."
"One matching goal," Hui Lik mutters to himself repeating the words Tony said to him.
"Remember, you are the main character," Tony tells him with confidence putting his hands on his shoulder waking Hui Lik up from his gloom. "This is the chance to write your own story!"
There was a hint of conviction in his eyes, "But...I really don't know if I'm good enough for her."
The stillness of the room made his words sink into his consciousness, echoing again and again.
In his words that echoes he could hear so much doubt in himself that he has tried to hide from in the past.
There were images from fear of rejection that he tries to run away from and not having to face as reality.
"She said yes to you when she could have said no," Tony tells him with his hands on his shoulder. "You have more to offer her than you could begin to imagine."
