Aftermath

Clyde pulls himself together and gets up shaking.

"Just who the hell are you?" He asks.

"What clan supports you?"

"This fucking idiot." I sigh heavily.

"For the last time, I don't have a clan."

"That impossible," he says.

"The other clans would have noticed a person with your abilities long ago. The only way you could fly under their radar is if a powerful person or clan was hiding you."

"Well if there is one they're taking their sweet time revealing themselves," I grumble.

Clyde sits back on the log with Lucille, who's been on her phone this entire fucking time, he has a look of pure shock on his face as he stared at the ground.

"Speed, power, versatility, battle instinct, " He mumbled to himself.

"All perfect."

"I don't recognize his fighting style," He continues.

"But not a single movement was wasted, there wasn't a single gap in his defense, and the only one I could expose he immediately found a way around it."

"The fuck is he doing?" I ask Lucille.

She shrugs her shoulders and moves away from Clyde.

" Even after his Spacial armor was destroyed, he could still tank my attacks with his bare body, plus his spiritual control is also quite high. I've never seen anyone use the space knife or sword technique with such ease and power, " Clyde drones on.

"Time out." I interrupt.

"Did you just say space knife?"

"Yes." He answers.

"Did you not know the name of the technique?"

"That's a shitty name," I say bluntly.

"Well what have you been calling it?" he asks.

"Void Dagger."

"Shit, that's good."

"Are we really gonna sit here and pretend like you two weren't trying to kill each other five minutes ago."

Lucille interrupted.

"Yeah what was up with that?" I ask.

"Sorry about that," Clyde apologized.

" I was originally planning to just test your power, but you've got a real talent for pissing people off."

"Ha." I laugh.

" I get that a lot."

"Did you learn anything new?"

Lucille asks.

"Yeah, that kid is a fucking monster." He points at me.

"The fighting style he uses is scary," He shudders.

"It's like someone combined several powerful techniques and trained them to perfection, fused them into one, boosted it with steroids, and then weaponized it."

"That's a suspicious amount of information you managed to gather from a ten-minute battle," I comment.

"If there's a clan full of people like him, I'd rather not meet them." Clyde finishes ignoring me.

"How the fuck did he get all that from just one fight?" I nudged Lucille.

"Humans are weird." she shrugged.

"So about Ollie," I say loudly to change the subject.

"Is that thing on a timer or something?" I ask.

"Or do you just pop it like a pimple?"

"Well, " Clyde answers.

"I suppose you could pop it if you hit it with something that's powerful enough to destroy- "

He suddenly stops speaking as a red pattern glows brightly on my right arm. I rush forward and easily shatter the hard external shell of the bubble and yank Ollie out. As soon as I do though, the energy

Immediately skyrockets, I'm assuming that it's gonna explode, so I absorb the rampaging energy before anything bad could happen.

"The entire city." Clyde finished his sentence.

"What going on?" Ollie asked extremely confused.

He saw the shocked look on Clyde's face and the shattered stasis bubble where he was standing and put two and two together.

"You lost didn't you." He smiled happily.

"Fuck you." Clyde groaned.

"You never told me you had such a talented disciple Oliver." He said.

"I'm not his disciple."

"He's not my disciple."

Ollie and I say at the same time.

"What?" Clyde asked shocked.

"He didn't want to be my disciple," Ollie explained.

"So I 've only been teaching him the spacial techniques."

"So how long have you been teaching him?" He asked.

"Two months," Ollie answers proudly.

Clyde looked surprised momentarily before he shook his head and looked at me.

"How long have you been training in spacial techniques?" He asks me.

"What day is it?"

"Friday."

"Oh, then two months."

Clyde's face pales as he looks back and forth from me to Ollie as if he was trying to get some form of confirmation that I was telling the truth. Ollie just nods and Clyde starts laughing hysterically.

"So this is what you've been hiding from me?" He said.

"I was raising a monster." Ollie beamed.

"One that could rival the house of Vermillion's little beasts."

"Ordinarily I'd say that you're out of your fucking mind, but now I'm not so sure," Clyde admitted.

"Anything you can tell me about them?" I ask.

"Keep in mind though, I do plan on fighting them when they return."

"Their names are Luke and Lisa Vermillion." He said.

"They are the twin stars of the house of Vermillion, they also happen to be my younger siblings."

"Weird brag, but ok." I interrupt.

"They both have very strong affinities, one lighting, and the other fire, I'll let you find out which is which." he smiles.

"Dick move, " I complain.

"Whatever, you cost me a lot kid."

"Huh?"

"Clyde and I had a little bet going on," Ollie answered.

"What was the bet?"

"Clyde has a weird habit of shitting his pants whenever he's surprised, so I bet him I could show him something that'll surprise him." he grinned.

"W-wait so that means he,"

I look at Clyde who I notice, now that I'm actually paying attention, is sitting in a weird position and almost die laughing.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" Clyde shrieks.

"Holy fuck!" I laugh.

"I can't believe I made a pillar shit his pants."

Ollie's laughing as hard as I am, his face is bright red and he looks like he's about to puke.

"Here's what as promised, " Clyde grumbled as he tossed a book to Ollie.

"I fucking hate both of you." He said as a flaming circle formed around him and he flew off.

"So what was the prize?" I ask while looking over Ollie's shoulder.

"That's for later laddie, you'll earn it once you beat the four," Ollie said as he tucked the book inside his jacket pocket.

"Whatever, I'm hitting the shower," I tell him.

"See you later fuckface," Lucille called out.

"I feel like you're learning bad habits from me," I tell her as we walk down the hall.

"Who cares?" She answers.

"Before you came along I was always in the lab with Doc, and we rarely ever went anywhere so I had no kind social skills whatsoever. To fix it doc programmed me to be able to mimic other people's personalities. Then we met you."

"What's that supposed to mean?

I ask.

"You're an enigma, you seem to be able to do things that defy all common sense with ease." She explained.

"I wanted to follow that mystery and discover the answer to how you can do the things you can."

"I also like your personality."She added.

"Give it some time, it'll get annoying," I warn her.

I suddenly sense someone entering my room. The person sits in the corner of the room and doesn't move. I close my eyes and focus on my room while reaching out with my conciseness and suddenly I'm there. I look around the room and see no one, the energy that I was sensing disappeared. I look at the corner the energy came from and noticed that the shadows are darker in that one area than anywhere else.
