Unexpected

As Daphne was appreciating the look of Ezra's naked back, a string of letters made itself visible on the transparent shower walls in front of her.

It read,

[Love, stop acting like a pervert. In relationships, balance is quite important. You already made your move, now you have to let your man make the next one. Don't you want reciprocity?]

When seeing the blue words, Daphne was shocked and then, taken aback. Were the shower walls always like this?

Wait, so after barely talking to her in the past five years, she was actually watching her husband take a shower?

Instead of acknowledging whatever was written on the glass, Daphne became upset, thinking, 'So you have time to spy on me and my husband, but not talk to me?'

As if to show that the person leaving the message had clear and immediate knowledge of present and past events, a new message appeared.

[Stop sulking. No, I don't always watch you and your hubby. I have not been able to speak to you often because of some health problems.]

"Health problems?" Daphne muttered out loud as her expression morphed into one of worry.

[I'm fine now. Don't worry. I am healthier than before.]

In the meantime; while all this was happening, Ezra was still lost in his own world. Mulling over god knows what.

Daphne decided to exit the bathroom and try to hold a conversation with her elusive friend. Her previous thoughts, forgotten…

Daphne really loved Ce and the fact that she had not seen her in the past five years was one of the things that made her feel lonely and depressive.

People need the support of loved ones in their lives. If a person you love dearly does not interact with you as often as you would like, you will start to question whether your feelings are reciprocated.

Daphne had gotten into the habit of writing long essay-like emails to Cecilia, regularly. In the past few years, the replies from Cecilia had been short and rare. Cecilia had told her to do things like this as she was both, but that she also had nothing left to say about Daphne's predicament.

Most of the advice that Cecilia could give, had already been given, Daphne had acknowledged that it was good and logical advice, but she had not implemented it, spurring Cecilia to tell her that she will only continue giving her advice and opinions once she was ready to listen or apply the things that she was saying. In the meantime, Daphne was free to use her as a friend as much as she liked, leave voice messages, written messages, or whatever she wanted, and Cecilia would read them, even if not immediately.

Daphne leisurely strolled out of the bathroom, went to sit on her bed and asked the air in a normal voice,

"Still here?"

"For now." A clear, silky and sultry voice came from Daphne's watch. It had a calm undertone, like nothing in the world could shake it.

"Wow, how long has it been since I last heard your voice?" Daphne murmured, a bit absentminded. "You suddenly ambush me like this…" Her tone turned perplexed, this situation showed that Ce was paying attention to her, but why hadn't she ambushed her before? These last few months had been particularly depressing…
