Chapter 31: E rated One-eyed spider monkey (2)

"Any task that involves battling a magic beast is D rated and above… Hahaha! I'm getting excited" Kira laughed as he slid into the limo.

By that time the other three were already seated with just their driver in the driver's seat. No matter how much Alfred pleaded, they refused to bring him along, insisting that this was a path they must work alone. Knowing someone as capable as Alfred was standing on the sidelines, they definitely won't put in their best. These kids believed that only through real life and death situations can they grow.

"This city and state naming system really needs to be reviewed and changed… Am I the only one that finds it stupid…" Dan said as he read information based on the community they were going to.

"City A, City B… using Alphabets as city names… it's nice since I find it easier to remember…" Zero chuckled as he spoke.

Bam!

Kira playfully punched Zero's shoulder, shooting him a meaningful glare. It was obvious this guy was teasing Dan on purpose. Zero in response only laughed lightly and looked away.

"Don't get ticked off… Even the sovereign federation makes use of a similar method, theirs is named sector instead of a city, and the alphabet still remains" Kira said.

"I know that already… the government of both countries are dumb… that's what I'm trying to say…" Dan's eyes remained glued to the screen right in front of him while he spoke.

"Don you have any information on region fifteen of city A…" Akila suddenly spoke up with a rare serious expression on his face.

"Mmmmh!" Dan hummed and scrolled down on his tab quickly.

"Region fifteen is one of the few regions with no guardians residing in them… Apparently the region is no different from a poor community which lacks most of the basic amenities urban areas possess, that must be the reason why those who have the potential to develop superpowers leave and never return…" Dan answered.

"And the construction site?" Zero asked with a frown on his face.

"Well, there are rumors that most of the super-powered humans that have emerged from this region are extremely strong and talented… For this reason, the Blighton academy has taken it upon itself to establish a small branch and train upcoming guardians there…" Dan spoke absentmindedly.

"If such an academy has decided to set up a branch in that town, it should be able to defend it" Akila said.

"That should be the truth but here it says that the Blighton academy is currently attempting to secure a yellow rated territory outside, they are putting all their attention into this operation… they have no guardian to spare…. For this reason, they can't provide any support… The construction was stopped since it was no longer safe… The least they could do is ask the scavenger guild to put it up the billboard as a quest" Dan spoke up after he was done going through all the information he could get on the region.

The other only nodded to show they understood what he said and remained quiet. In reality, they were a bit excited, yet a little anxious. This could be considered as their first official battle with a magic beast, it was natural for them to feel anxious! If these monsters are as powerful as Miss Lane said, then an E rated magic beast should be able to battle a top tier D rated guardian. Kira only managed to defeat the D rated guardian Dean because the man was a bit tipsy, even Kira knew he won't be able to take that man down easily if it were a real-life and death battle.

"Why the silence? We are not dead yet!" Kira suddenly broke the silence.

The others laughed heartily in response.

"No one dies today… Alright?" Zero spoke a few seconds later.

"Alright!!!" The others screamed at the top of their lungs in unison.

.............................................…..

The journey took less than an hour, soon they found themselves in an area filled with outdated building structures and expired buildings that may collapse at any second, yet people were still living in them. Along the way there was no shortage of uncompleted buildings, even the roads were filled with potholes.

"I read this online, but I never really expected to find a region this underdeveloped in the fucking capital… what the fuck is the government doing? How can people be allowed to live in such nasty conditions?" Dan began cursing furiously after witnessing a few nasty scenes.

The others remained silent as they traveled deeper into the town slowly due to the bad road. Along the way they gathered as much information as they could from people, giving out a few thousand Lu's as a reward. To them, this amount was nothing but to these people it was quite huge.

After twenty minutes the Limo stopped about two hundred meters away from the construction site which was located on the outskirts of the region. Four figures fearlessly walked into the construction site which was surrounded by forests. From the looks of things, they could understand that the one-eyed spider monkey came from the forest behind the construction site. With a glance, they could see numerous materials meant for the construction covered in moss.

This made them wonder how much how long this place has been abandoned.

The construction was still at the beginning phase and the foundation of the build was still been laid. The team strode in cautiously while glancing around occasionally but none could spot the one-eyed spider monkey other than Zero. According to the information on the magic beast, the spider monkey was the confrontational type which will face invaders head-on.

Brave but dumb, that's why they are rated E since they are very easy to find.

Zero quickly turned to the left and locked eyes with the green-haired beast with a single massive circular green eye at the center of its face. Its hand was made up of only three fingers which had short, yet extremely sharp claws that can cut through metal. Its hairs looked unusually solid and spikey but the beast was barely up to 5ft tall.

"Found it…." Zero muttered with a vicious grin on his face.
